Yeah, had to think about the DVD, where Timbaland and Reid tap on their own shoulders while having an imaginary orgasm. smhMy initial thought was it sounded like the tape was warped, but you're right, it was confirmed it was supposed to sound that way.
It's like the same 10-year old kid responsible for the blurbs & new album cover did also compile and edit the bonus tracks with some freeware audio editor. You’re absolutely right. Genuinely shocking how some of those demos sounded. Same with the second disc of T40.
It's almost like they (Estate) hate spending anytime on releasing any demos, unless they can modernize them. It's like the same 10-year old kid responsible for the blurbs & new album cover did also compile and edit the bonus tracks with some freeware audio editor.
How do you know that? It's intended to be that way.
John Barnes had talked about it.How do you know that?
Oh really, the 'warped' intro? InterestingJohn Barnes had talked about it.
It isn't warped its just the modulation of the synthesizer being messed with during the intro to give it the dreamy feelOh really, the 'warped' intro? Interesting
I wonder if that's why I've never liked the song at all that way. I still think it just doesn't have a lot of passion or strength behind it, but that is with the 2014 context behind it.Cory Rooney was very annoyed that a mono version of She Was Lovin' Me was used on the album too. They knew full well the original song sounded like a much better "Michael Jackson" song so they had to cripple it.
It's not false, I simply corrected info I misinterperted back when I added it.Btw someone edited the tracker and added what I believe is false info on the Streetwalker section, such as removing the trash remix. If someone could fix that, that'd be great
Ah ok, however I don't think there are two versions of Streetwalker '87 with different outros. I'm pretty sure the recording of the song that leaked in 2020 has artificial fade out and the outro is edited, its quite easy to loop the choruses actually (I've done it with my edit of the song). Plus, there is no echo when it fades out, plus the audio static fades away with it, which it shouldn't, as the only reason there is static is because of the audio being too loud for the mic threshold. It makes no sense that the static fades away with the songIt's not false, I simply corrected info I misinterperted back when I added it.
Bill Bottrell's post about replacing drums and perc with trash can brushes was about "Dangerous," not "Streetwalker." I misread.
I'll go ahead and fix that, thanks for pointing that out!Ah ok, however I don't think there are two versions of Streetwalker '87 with different outros. Buffalobill87 mentioned a point exactly like this a long time ago haha.Speaking about love never felt so good . I remember reading on the forums and the opinion was that it was a terrible choice for a single , let alone the first single to be released from the album.
To the point where fans thought it was a joke and the estate had really lost the plot.
Then a few rumours started that the song had been reworked and it was sounding fantastic and really improved it.
It really was!!
Np glad to helpI'll go ahead and fix that, thanks for pointing that out!
A Place With No Name, the second single from the album Xscape, would have been fantastic too, but Sony and the estate made the mistake of completely botching the promotion and promoting the single only on Twitter. This still annoys me to this day, because I'm convinced that with better promotion, A Place With No Name would have been just as successfulSpeaking about love never felt so good . Genuinely it was the heyday of Twitter so it was pretty popular. In comparison to the Radio and YouTube though, it was an insane gamble.A Place With No Name, the second single from the album Xscape, would have been fantastic too, but Sony and the estate made the mistake of completely botching the promotion and promoting the single only on Twitter. I was hoping that Hot Fun would be released as part of a special edition at the end of 2014. It's crazy how time flies. The fact that the solo remix of "Love Never Felt So Good" was originally made for "Michael" is so interesting to me because it's sound is completely unlike the rest of the songs on the album. Everything about it just screams "Xscape" and I can't imagine the song fitting elsewhere lol.
But I like that it shows the Estate is willing to reutilize their own remixes, I hope they'll eventually release the "Xscape" remix of "Hot Fun" instead of making a new one from the ground-up since that one got a ton of praises. I'm very keen in hearing how it sounds like.
When they announced the celebration of the 10 years of Xscape via Instagram last year I was hoping they're gonna release it as an anniversary single, but no. The post apparently was just enough.I was hoping that Hot Fun would be released as part of a special edition at the end of 2014. It's crazy how time flies.
Maybe it will be on the biopic soundtrack next year.
I noticed they post the most low-quality versions of widely available photos to their social medias on the regular. They've also recently put out a "wrong" version of the Black or White short film. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they also do this for MJ's music on official releases.Cory Rooney was very annoyed that a mono version of She Was Lovin' Me was used on the album too. Like out of the three Anka songs, LNFSG is the weakest one. They had Don't Matter To Me RIGHT THERE.Speaking about love never felt so good . I remember reading on the forums and the opinion was that it was a terrible choice for a single , let alone the first single to be released from the album.

LNFSG is defo the most radio friendly (out of the Anka songs)Like out of the three Anka songs, LNFSG is the weakest one. They had Don't Matter To Me RIGHT THERE.
