Just wondering (and searching the internet) if there are any pictures from forest lawn ??
What about "one rose fore Michael" ? Any news about that ?

You would hope not,but I don't put anything past the Jackson family.
 
The people who participate in One Rose for Michael Jackson donate this time for vaccinations for children instead of buying roses. Up to now they gathered 4900 vaccinations, so they still need 400 (I guess it was 2 $ each) in order to reach the goal of 5300 vaccinations.

I hope Randy is alright, he is looking thinner than usual. It's not like Randy Jackson to lose weight.
 
PLEASE.........Randy announced that he was going to FL before he ever even went..he WANTED the media and the people to know he was going..Sorry Randy gets NO slack from me.. Blah, like I keep saying ALWAYS a ulterior motive for these people.

See, this is why he made it known on twitter that he was going to Forest Lawn and even gave the time.....he wanted to revel in the moment with the fans and have another photo op.

On their facebook page you will find all the amazing photographs of floral tributes and cards and gifts that were organised by Sandy for fans from around the globe ... for Michael's 53rd Birthday ... that were placed at Holly Terrace and then eventually taken in to be beside Michael's final resting place.

The "One Rose for Michael" FB group have collected donations to vaccinate children and are aiming for 5300 in Honor of Michael's 53rd Birthday.
I think they need about another $250 to make their/our goal.

Sofie Strandberg does an excellent job with this FB group. We collected 4500 red roses of L.O.V.E for Michael that lined the steps of Holly Terrace on the 25th of June.

Michael Jackson would have been 53 years old today. As I entered the black ornate gates at the entrance of Forest Lawn Mortuary in Glendale, I was, as all the times before, struck by the silence on the grounds. I made my way past the white statue of a woman surrounded by a small pond and lily pads,frescoes, statues, the green, manicured lawn and up the familiar winding road to the sign leading me to the Last Supper as the smell of pine trees is all around. In the distance are rows of California palm trees before I make my way to Holly Terrace.

A gentle breeze makes it a perfect Southern California day. Forest Lawn has now set up a booth selling Michael’s favorite flower, sunflowers, along with red roses and assorted flowers because of the amount of visitors they’ve experienced since Michael was entombed here on September 3, 2009.

From the amount of sunflowers, roses, handmade cards, handmade candles, pictures in frames, one would think he would have just left us but it’s been 2 years, 2 months and 4 days since he left his physical body.

As I was kneeling down picking up beautiful homemade cards that looked as if each and every one took hours to make, I noticed a woman with 6 bags of cards & gifts. She has created a group called Sunflowers for Michael, whose sole purpose is to keep fresh flowers by his resting place forever. She has loving, devoted fans from all over the world sending cards, banners and flowers to her on the anniversary of his death, his birthday, Christmas. She has set up a post office box where you can donate as little as $10. Her dedication and hard work is inspiring. You can mail Sandy at: sandy@sunflowersformichael.net

I met Nena Znezana Akhtar, who came all the way to Los Angeles from Germany. She planned this sojourn with her husband and 2 children, Ilyas age 8 & Chalisa, 10. Nena said “I stay here completely 2 weeks just for Michael and 1 friend comes. She also Michael fan. We go to Neverland, Encino Hayvenhurst, Carolwood Drive, last house, Grammy Museum, Walk of Fame, Beverly Hills Hotel – he stayed there. I take a leaf from here (as she reached for a leaf from a nearby bush) and from Neverland. Here are my handmade cards.” As tears rolled down my face, I thanked her.

I left Forest Lawn only to arrive home to find out Randy was going to be there towards the end of the day. I felt so inspired after seeing all that Sandy and Nena do that a drive back on the freeway seemed like nothing at all.

Michael faced many headwinds in his life but he persevered no matter what. His legions of fans are testament to the love he shared with his caring, compassionate, non judgmental heart. I still haven’t located an original copy of Michael’s out of print book, Dancing the Dream but in the title page I hear is a favorite quote of Michael’s.

“If you enter the world knowing you are loved and leave the world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with.”

I think all the cards and flowers are beautiful. The fans that went are so thoughtful.
 
I wish this thread would be used to honor and lift up Michael. Lets not derail it with blatant attacks on Randy.
Dont let the short time he spent there him spoil the day and all the beautifu things fans left for Michael that day
One thing I will say Is that its the fans that were completly out of line by even asking for autographs at MJ's
gravesite. Randy couldnt very well refuse them. We really dont know what he feels. He may just have wanted
to spend some time with people he knows loves Michael. Randy is no angel for sure but everything he does isnt
for evil purposes.

If you wish to discuss Randy or his actions - Open a thread in 2300 Forum. Just for the sake
of having a little more reverance for Michael in here_ We owe that to Michael ... OK ... Please

I love that heart shaped display with his pic in the middle that was so beautiful and all the cards
are awesome especially the home made ones . So much love

Yes thats so true for me too _ I wish I could be there to be close to him and see all the beautiful flower and be close to the fans who love him

ya know when I get really sad like this I try and think about what Michael said...about him and his music..I keep it in my siggy to remind myself sometimes it helps somtimes it doesnt.

"When you want to be close to me, listen to the music the L.O.V.E is stored there and will not die..!"
 
What matters most is our love for Michael and how we honor him ... I agree let's not get caught up in any other negativity.
