Imagine if all of these people went out and bought one Michael Jackson album together (Something that ISN'T Thriller for a change) it would become the 2nd biggest selling album of all time and it would be the highest selling album in years

I know it will never happen but i think it should either be Bad, Dangerous or HIStory

If that happened we could instantly be getting a new best selling album of all times!!!

I know there is little chance of that happening, but still couldn't the Estate do something and try to mobilize this target group??

The Estate should announce a nuclear bomb to those 70 million fans!!!! maybe a trailer to something so huge, and make the post cover of it so vibrant and sublime, open people's eyes to Michael's magic.. something they can't keep away from, include a YouTube video.. draw them in.. enhance the global market that is already very strong.

During the time they are waiting for the new exciting YouTube video they could watch all Michael´s official shortfilms.
Then they all should be certifired

or they could upload an exclusive making of video for the new album directly to facebook, with some recording footage and show the details of the new album in a big flash at the end?

Gosh, that would be amazing! :wild: I would also prefer it not to be an 80s album, so everything from Dangerous onwards. So what's stopping us? We should really attempt this!

70 million fans are pretty amazing - especially considering the fact that he is no longer around to make PR, concerts, new music etc. etc.

Look at Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Bee Gees, Nirvana, Kurt Cubain etc. etc. - they do not have even nearly as many fans on facebook.


If the next MJ album is HUGE I think MANY more fans on facebook will follow!!

Great news!!

Imagine if the new album is VERY succesful!!

If the new album goes to #1 and has some great singles that do well and gets a lot of promotion - then I think 80 million fans are not unrealistic when we reach christmas!!

Interesting that Rihanna's daily and weekly growth is lower than Shakira, Eminem and MJ's. Shakira will pass her any day now.

MJ's daily and weekly growth is very solid for now and will likely increase with the new album.

I had no idea Shakira was this popular. Maybe she is in Spanish speaking countries or I don't know. I haven't heard about her for ages.

Same here. In fact, apart from her recent duet with Riri, I hadn't heard of her for god know how many years. My guess is that she just isn't as big in English-speaking countries...

Yeah, probably her main fan base is in Latin countries and it seems she's pretty big in those countries.

ETA: Checking out her FB page the comment sections have lots of spams and ads. So maybe that's how her FB is that "popular". Maybe a lot of it comes from spammers and bots...
MJ's FB has some spams too, but not as many as Shakira's.

Wasn't there a chart released that adjusted these twitter and Facebook followers taking into account bots and spam etc? I'm sure Rihanna, Gaga, Beiber etc all plunged as a result.
