A.I Michael - opinions

Doesn’t change the fact that MJ had a different vision for his songs. Even if they used some original elements here and there.
Also Xscape is not timeless because it’s an album full of „trap beats“. MJ Originals are timeless. But that’s just my opinion.
that's not what "trap beats" are.

then call it typical trap samples/elements. Sorry but to say that Xscape is 100 % respectful is just BS.. i mean listen to "Blue Gansta".. best example of how to ruin a song with trap sounds (and annoying triplets)

This is a much better trap version I'll admit.

unpopular opinion:

I wouldn't mind sony/estate to use AI on new MJ album but rules are:

1. A.I only can be used to fill gaps. Means when they have incomplete songs where Michael sung only a full chorus or something. I wouldn't mind them to use AI to fix stuff.

2. A.I cannot be used on music.

3. Original Demos should also be released.

i mean.. better use A.I trained on MJs voice than impersonators (2010......)
thats a terrible idea vro

Finally here :
Well done imo.

Hey guys, on a separate note before talking about this -
glad to be a mod here, hoping I can help make this a better place for you. And for me. And the entire hu- okay sorry.

But back to the topic, I have spent the last week researching and building an A.I model of Michael jackson singing, and after almost 40 hours of training the ai is scaring me at how it has reached the level of a really good Michael impersonator, and I'm only about 30% done training.

Now before you slander me, I will justify my actions by saying that if it wasn't me, it would have been made by someone most likely named "MJ_LEAKS2008" and would have been used to create fake "leaks". I am keeping the model completely private, and will only be working on songs either Michael covered but are unreleased (Delilah, Hot fun, Jane is a groupee) or songs michael himself loved (Automatic, Upside-down, How deep is your love, My Perogative). Another thing I'd love to try is to finish Hollywood tonight by using the written bridge.

Now, the reason to why I've made this thread - should I releass songs online with this tool, or keep them all private? And also what are your opinions on this matter, and do you believe Michael would have been fascinated by this technology?

Again, I would love to read peoples opinions (mostly so i have something to read on my work break, lol), if you want to criticise me go ahead too btw as I'd love to hear everyone's opinion.

Thanks lads (and again, I hope I can help ye all in the best ways I can!)
I don't think Michael would like this very much.

I am curious what MJ would sound on this one though.. A lot of stuff reminding me of his stuff on Bad.
Not a coincidence with Rod Temperton, Bruce Swedien, Greg Phillinganes, Siedah Garett, Paul Jackson Jr., Jerry Hay etc involved.

Ringo Starr says the Beatles organization remains wary of AI, despite having harnessed the technology to deliver “the last Beatles song” in 2023.
“We tried it in the ’90s when we got ‘Free As A Bird’ out,” Starr told Music Week in a new interview. “ But we didn’t take much interest because it didn’t sound like John, and George got a bit fed up.

“He didn’t want to do a third [1995 single] and so we just put it to bed – but now they’ve got better equipment. They lifted John’s voice off a cassette, for God’s sake; off a cassette! And it was like John was suddenly in town.”

He hailed McCartney for overseeing the project. “I put the drums on and sang on the chorus… He put the strings on and the lead guitar that gave the track its emotion. It worked out really great.”
“We’re all a bit afraid of it, because it can steal you,” the drummer said. “Anyone who knows how to use it can steal you. If they just play any five of my songs into the computer, AI gets all of it and knows my every vocal move. They can have me sing anything and it will sound like me, because it’s taken from my personality.”

He continued: “But the good side is the way we used it on ‘Now And Then.’ God knows where it’s going to go. We’re all worrying about it; but nobody’s really stolen anything yet.”

AI has ruined searching for MJ on YouTube. So much rubbish horrible sh*t presented as real material which people will believe as real. I wish to God you could purge YouTube of all AI generated vocal videos.

However some videos that have used AI as a tool (upgrading or remastering audio/video) are quite good.

AI is good used as a tool, not as art.

That looks incredible, almost Wembley quality which is acceptable to me for a non official release.
Yeah, I wasn't expecting much considering the source, I was just curious what this model could do with such a rough tape. Better sourced shows should give better results. This is the first "Diffusion based" video upscaler. I'm waiting to hopefully run it locally without limits.
