:lol: The hair that's kinda slick to his forehead is what we called baby hair back in the day..

Kinda like how this babys hair is slick to the forehead. It was supposed to imply you had "good hair". But that's another story for another time.... :lol:

We used to make baby hair with a toothbrush and gel. just pull some hair from the hair line down with the tooth brush and smooth it out with gel... which I'm assuming somone did to Mike's hair for the better part of about 8 yrs. :lol:

Mike had a straight up Jherri curl in the beginning.. that's basically a perm .. where they use perm rods and chemicals to make the hair curly and wavy. Remember the fro he had.. he just permed that with the perm rods and voila.. jherri curl! And since his hair wasn't as tightly coiled as it was when he had the fro, he could now do the baby hair thing...

... did that make sense? I hope I explained it the right way.. :lol:

I am seriously tryin to fathom this stuff, just cause a girl's got black friends, does NAT mean she has access to the black hair manual that explains Mike's hair. Took me about four years to figure out a weave.

So he's purposely stickin hair to his forehead?!! WTF??! It's a whole new world I'm telling you. One of my besties is from Barbados but she has dreads and can't demo for me. Thanks HB, this is an EDUCATION! :better:

In a nutshell, yes.. it was all part of "the look". :lol: We loved it tho! No complaints from me! I'm sure if I checked my archives I'd fine some pics of me with baby hair all thanks to Mike!
