I noticed that too.. he dropped friends alot. That's probably why there are 50-11 ppl on like Larry King and whatever now talking about they were close personal friends of MJ. I'm sure at some point they were.. then for whatever reason he had he'd move on to someone else.. So interesting.

yeah, that was the thing...he seemed to always sever ties at one point or other...liz taylor is like the only person that he never did.

and god, trusting a gf would be even HARDER than finding friends. you have to trust that she isn't with you for money, won't blab sex details (looking at YOU lmp, gotdamn), won't run off with any secrets you divulge, etc etc. it's a rough life certainly, and at THAT level? whew, goodness i can't imagine. he needed a stable rock earlier, like off the wall times, to be there through the good and bad throughout and later

Liz. Yup. Pretty much. If he'da only been able to find someone like Liz, but more his age at around that time or earlier it woulda been perfect! As long as the fans didn't know about it cause that woulda ruined the fantasy! :lol:

I would have even settled for a close friend.. it seems that the closest he had to that was Karen, and even she couldn't stop what was happening. But again, she was out of the loop and he was unreachable to her after the trail cause he disappeared and went to Bahrain or whatever. He only got back in touch with her recently.

I'm telling you that trial killed him! If he hadn't gone through that hot ass mess he mighta still had a good circle of what would have been considered friends - as opposed to these LEECHES that sucked him dry after he came back to the US.

I think as the years went on though and as he was betrayed more and more (nonsense lawsuits, accusations, etc) he sort of built up a wall which made it harder and harder to let people in. A LOT of his friends abandoned him when he needed them the most (no mentioning of names, don't wanna get in trouble!)
