With regards to Mr.Michael Jackson's reference (s) to the Moon/Moonlight and Spring;


Moonlight is the light that reaches Earth from the the Moon. This light does not originate from the Moon, but from sunlight. The Moon does not, however, reflect sunlight like a mirror, but it reflects light from those portions of its surface which the Sun's light strikes.


Spring and "springtime" refer to the season, and broadly to ideas of rebirth, renewal and regrowth.

"Spring" may begin as early as February (Northern Hemisphere) but generally are March, April, and MAY...

I LOVE this song, one of my favorites from the album. I feel it's about us fans. WE ARE FOREVER meaning, we will FOREVER love Michael and stand by his side!!!

Don't you think he would rather have said "YOU are my joy"? (to his children, to his fans, or his fans to him). For me at least, that would make more sense, it would be more...Michaelish, if you will. :)

When I'm listening to it I feel like he's singing in the third person. Like he's thinking of someone that's been there for him during all the tough times and he's thinking about what that person means to him. To me when he sings 'I am your joy, your best of joy', he's describing what or whom he's thinking of. To me it's quite brilliant and unique.

Not sure if I'm expressing myself well, but hopefully it makes sense what I'm trying to say.

Are you saying you talked to MJ online? Or is it an imagined conversation between you and him? I don't understand....
 
It's been more than a week and I am still obsessed. When Much Too Soon leaked, I couldn't stop listening and thinking about how pure and perfect it was. Then I heard Best of Joy, and now I can't stop! Best of Joy is Much Too Soon on a whole new level! Bigger and better!

I agree and I can't believe how many people vote for "Much Too Soon" in the elimination game. :bugeyed IMO that and Best of Joy are the best songs of the album.

The lyrics are not strange at all when you believe we on Earth are visited from time to time by Angels,
one such Angel being Michael Jackson.

At the very least, I now know that Michael had joy in his life during his final years with us on earth. In fact, he appears to have had the Best Of Joy. And nothing could make me, as a friend and a fan, feel better. Best of Joy is the song I dare anyone to claim does not derive from the very heart, soul and immense talent of Michael Jackson. pardon me but the lyrics in your post and those CherubimII posted are not correct !! the correct lyrics are the ones in the booklet ! check the booklet or the pics posted in this forum !

Susie, I do not understand something. If Michael asked you not to share his correspondence with you and you promised not to, why you are still shearing it? I understand that you want to donate all money to help kids which is nice, but still.... .
If it was me, I would not do it if somebody asked me not to... ., especially a person like MJ. Why his privacy is never being respected? It does not matter really what those letters are about.

Best of Joy is a song I love and will cherish forever. It's the essence of Michael Jackson. It's magic.
 
By far my absolute favorite on the album and one that I will hold close to my heart for the rest of my life.
