What shall we do about Barok232 as he is being a proper ****, even attacking other members?
I'm not fussed what he said about me as it says a lot about him, but he is clearly a nasty prick who if this was my house in real life I would be booting him out the front door.

I want to ban him. I literally opened his profile last night and had my finger hovering over the ban button. He wants to leave, anyway....he has actually said that....but he wants to be able to delete his own account (which of course, he can't do). He is like a petulant child. He really has it in for me, because I was the one who deleted his dumb "NPDT process" threads. Ever since then, he has been raving on about censorship; dragging up stuff from years ago; getting more and more rude and arrogant. Of course, every time I clean out one of his arrogant posts, he screams censorship again. He would not get it through his head that everything he was posting in the "new MJ forum" thread was off topic. He just doesn't accept any direction or instruction at all.
Also, when I first deleted his threads, he was going back and forth with me, in PMs, complaining about it and being very rude. He showed me a link to his NPDT Process FB profile (I think it was Facebook), where he had written a whole post about "censorship at MJJC" and he had included a screenshot of my private message to him, about the deletion of his threads. I think he is unethical and a bombastic narcissist and we don't need him lurking around here. He's going to be scrutinising every decision we make and crying foul, for sure, since he thinks he has been unfairly treated, which is BOLLOCKS.
In light of the bans of JC08 and speed_demon87, being reversed over the past week, I didn't want to be the one to ban him; BUT I'd love it if you do the honours. He is going to be a real handful, going forward......throwing dissent and attitude my way in every thread, no doubt. Stacey seems to be taking a break at the moment, so it's just you and I keeping a lid on things around here.
Just in regards to JC08, while I'm here....I have been conversing with that one in PM, trying to help her/him to function better on the forum, without being reported so often and without members asking in threads...."Wasn't this person banned, why are they back here?" You wanted us to follow due process before going straight to a ban, right? Well, he/she is quite strange, to say the least - he/she can't understand why we take a dim view of disrespecting Michael on MJJC and has accused us of totalitarianism, of all things!
He/she has a bug up their arse about the uniform "MJ Innocent" avatar and wants to be a free thinker. LMAO. Some people take themselves way too seriously - no one is stopping her/him from being a free thinker, ffs, it's just a profile pic on an anonymous username!!
You know for a while I've been worried the hard left liberal (I'm a centralist) way will start to show in here, since our inception racism, bigotry etc has always been fought hard to ensure it doesn't happen here, but I fear we have a new enemy invading our society that is the extreme opposite to the far right, at the end of the day we are not a country we are not a society, we are a community with one major thing in common 'MJ' that doesn't mean we have to worship him, hell even I think he is an absolute twat for not learning the warning sign in 1993 and leaving himself as a standing target for all these accusations in life and death, but that doesn's mean I think he did anything, so going back to my original argument, 'Political Correctness' doesn't apply here neither does any form of social standing whether you are right, far right, left or hard left all of that is left at the front door. We determine the theme 'That does not make us dictators' we allow topics that can be discussed 'again that does not make us dictators' so whatever they feel they are being offended by whether our actions or the tone we are setting it's simply tough like it or lump it or move on. We WILL NOT be told how to operate nor be shouted down by our decision making. At the end of the day thousands stop by here each and every day, thousands love and enjoy this place, that is where I look for feedback, not some silly little squirt throwing his dummy about every time one of us acts on something.
Going forward, I'm going to have a little fun, I am going to start deleting all his posts whilst he is still a member, starting from his old ones gradually working my way to his latest, then after that, his account will be deleted in full and his IP blacklisted on the server.
Whatever you do don't let him know or respond to him if he enquires, he has been put to a slow death - just ensure you are on top of his account in case he cottons on and starts throwing more toys out of his pram.
Btw, this is an acception, I would only do this to the nasty of nastys who I do not want to have any existence here.

Hi guys. I've been a bit absent the past week or so. I'm not gonna lie I was really struggling with this whole Leaving Neverland situation and I decided to watch it last weekend to see what it was all about which didn't really help my frame of mind either.
Anyhow, sorry to leave you in the lurch like that but I'm back. I will moderate accordingly and see how I go with it all.
Gaz, just to clarify, if a member makes a post that attacks another member for instance, we use the infraction system and reach out via PM to discuss? It's been years since I've actually done anything like that if I'm honest lol.

Yes....Gaz wants us to follow a process of warnings, infractions, discussions/mediation via PM, before going straight to banning. There needs to be a clearly visible build up towards banning, just so that we are beyond reproach in terms of being fair and reasonable. Calls by other members to ban someone, just because of an opposing view, or because the equilibrium on the site is being rattled, should be resisted by us. I do agree with this, in principle (it's how I've always operated on other sites) although I think on some occasions, we just know someone is trouble, from the get-go.
Like aqwsz.....trouble with a capital T. JC08 may still end up being banned, or perhaps leaving of their own accord (because that one doesn't like our totalitarianism). Bahahahaha!
speed_demon87 is trying to function better on the board, but some of the members are making it very difficult for him and don't seem to want to give him a chance at all. SoundMind is quite rude to him and may need a warning or infraction soon.
I do not like 1nn5 at ALL....that one is also rude, arrogant and dismissive of others. Next report about him/her and there will be an infraction for sure.
I am SO glad that barok232's dissenting ass is gone. Screw him and his NPDT process. ~insert evil laughter~

Is NatureCriminal annoying anyone else, or is it just me? She acts manic, most of the time, running around all over the forum, starting new threads to pose questions that have been asked and answered already, years ago. I have messaged her, asking her to use the Miscellaneous thread for simple questions that can be answered in a couple of posts, rather than starting a new thread every time. Hopefully, she will take the hint. She also writes copious quantities of lyrics in the chat box, which is MEGA annoying! ARGH.

She has some mental issues, it seems. I messaged her about condensing her responses, because she kept spreading out her replies to a person over multiple posts in a row and it was cluttering the threads. I'm sure she'll settle down in time. We just have to be patient with her and give some guidance.
Exactly Anna, lets not be jumping up and down in anger/frustration before we've even tried the tolerant approach, subtle messages and replies to help them into the community spirit and ways must always be our first line of direction.

Of course, which is why I stated that I messaged the member to give her some guidance and suggestions regarding how to best proceed on the forum.
BUT, this is supposed to be a "vent" thread for staff, yes? It's different between us in here, than how it is, "out there" at the coal face. At least that was my understanding.

I usually like doing this kind of thing, but I will be way too busy this week and time zones are often difficult between myself and overseas journalists, in terms of Skyping. Perhaps KOPV would like to do it? It might be a good idea to start a thread with these questions in it, first, just to see what the rank and file members think....try to get a general idea about the feeling in the community. That said, I have tried getting member feedback and viewpoints in the past, for journalist's pieces and not had a lot of interest or success there.
Guys, I've decided that the Rasheed as Investigative Journalist for MJJC was not working in the best interests for MJJC, in a nut shell he was far more interested in promoting himself and his own pages than he was of MJJC's, my philosophy is no one is above or bigger than MJJC, not myself not anyone, no one uses our platforms to promote themselves that includes me which I don't do. so after a few times of trying speaking to him about it I felt it best that if this was his path then he and MJJC do not have a future together, I wished him my best for the future and of course emphasised that it is also right that the writer should get all the credit for any work they do, but that unfortunately clashes with the core of functionality with MJJC.
