Channel 4 are airing this program at this very moment. They are following people who want to become white...

The opening of the show had a photo of Michael as a child.. then an adolescent.. then an adult. And said 'at the time Michael Jackson was considered a freak, now its becoming more usual for...(blah blah blah)'.

When I saw the program in the listings I thought they might refer to Michael. I switched it off after that, so I don't know what else they said.

They made it out like he wanted to be white. When did he every state that? Never. Unlike the people in the program.

How do they just ignore the vitiligo when there are photos, witnesses and now a conformation in his autopsy?

If you want to complain about them using Michael as an example of someone who wanted to change his race you can complain to Ofcom here:

Thanks for this I forgot it was on.I saw it advertised in the tv mag and immediatly thought I bet they mention Michael in it :( So glad I didn't watch it!
I will send a complaint in

i felt sick and wanted to smash the tv..switched it over instead.. i knew they would say something about mj i knew it.. why did i set myself up..?

We have 5 main channels in the UK. BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. Channel 5 is not really a main channel in my opinion..

umm.. I'd say Channel 4 shows a lot of controversial programs and programs for young adults.

This is what they say on wiki :

The preamble of the remit as per the Communications Act 2003 states that:

"The public service remit for Channel 4 is the provision of a broad range of high quality and diverse programming which, in particular:
  • demonstrates innovation, experiment and creativity in the form and content of programmes;
  • appeals to the tastes and interests of a culturally diverse society;
  • makes a significant contribution to meeting the need for the licensed public service channels to include programmes of an educational nature and other programmes of educative value; and
  • exhibits a distinctive character."[

Even after the autopsy... GRRRR how dare they say these things about Michael!

I saw this and was furious, holding Michael up as some example of being ashamed of your race? Lies!

But by trying to make him sound bad they accidentally proved an important point. The woman who was trying everything under the sun to whiten her skin with no results when she was a lot lighter in the first place than Michael. The tabloids can suck it now as that shows the skin "bleaching" doesn't work!!!

I was going to watch this earlier on 4od but turned it off as soon as I saw the opening. I think because it was only a few seconds, it seems like they were just trying to get in on the 'hype' and include Michael in anyway they could. But, still you'd think they'd so some actual research before including it - it takes 10 seconds to learn why Michael's skin color changed using Google. And, you'd think as a large, respected, company/channel they'd do just the tiniest bit of research before putting something out to millions of people.

Ch4 are a bunch of dummies, when will folk get it through thier heads that MJ had vitiligo.

The same channel pulled this stunt few years sgo, they said Mj used a bar of soap to make his skin white. Yeah Right...............

I think i might have seen this but i missed the start, if it was the same programme it was very interesting, they explained how the Indian race view pale skin as attractive skin because years ago the poor worked outside in the sun and became very dark while the rich were not outside as much so their skin became lighter and light skin was seen as attractive because it meant the person was wealthy and had a good upbringing. This perception has evolved over the years and now many Indians are using skin bleaching creams to lighten their skin.
