Jackson Estate attorney, Bryan Freedman, tells The Blast,

"The consideration of 'Leaving Neverland' for an Emmy in any category other than one based on fiction is preposterous. A documentary is commonly defined as a film or video examining an event or person based on facts."

He adds,

"This new video, entitled 'Lies of Leaving Neverland' and many others like it actually provide real and truthful facts. These same facts and other indisputable evidence were intentionally ignored by Dan Reed in an effort to disparage Michael Jackson who is not here to defend himself. Anyone who furthered this travesty of justice will be held accountable."

‘Lies of Leaving Neverland’ pokes holes in the stories of MJ’s accusers

An explosive new video called Lies of Leaving Neverland has been released that seemingly pokes multiple holes in the stories of Michael Jackson’s accusers, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who claim they were sexually abused by the King of Pop.

According to The Blast, Lies of Leaving Neverland is a direct response to the Emmy-nominated documentary Leaving Neverland that horrified media members at the Sundance Film Festival in January and was subsequently released on HBO.

In the Lies of Leaving Neverland, the video accuses the original Leaving Neverland of being wrought with “provable lies, conflicting accounts, contradictions, staged reshoots, faked scenes, reconstructed memories, critical information omissions, manipulated news clips, discredited source material,” according to The Blast.

The Lies of Leaving Neverland centers around Robson’s 2016 deposition where he admits that he previously testified under oath that the “Billie Jean” singer never touched him a “sexual” or “inappropriate” way, but then said those previous statements were “mistruths.”

Not long after the 30-minute video begins, Robson admits in 2016 that he “was hurt” that he was not invited to Jackson’s memorial after Jackson died from acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication in 2009 in Holmby Hills, California. Robson believed that he and Jackson had “a close friendship.”

Why Robson would want to attend the funeral of his abuser at L.A.’s Staples Center has mystified and angered Jackson supporters to this day.

There were many other points of contention in The Lies of Leaving Neverland that the video points out:

Why one of MJ’s closest young friends, Macaulay Culkin of Home Alone fame, was never contacted to speak in Leaving Neverland. Culkin said he was never abused by Jackson;
Why no one from the Jackson family was ever given the opportunity to speak on the matter;
How Safechuck could tell of being abused on the train at Neverland in 1988 or 1989 when the train was reportedly not built until years later;
How Robson said he was abused when he was alone with Jackson while the family went to the Grand Canyon, but that the mother testified that the entire family was in Arizona together;
That Robson claimed he burnt most of Jackson’s stuff, but failed to mention that he had already sold most of the items that had monetary value back in 2011;
Emanuel Lewis, a close friend of MJ’s at the time when Thriller hijacked popular culture and owned the Billboard pop charts, was also never contacted. He also said he was never abused by Jackson.

Bryan Freedman, an attorney for the Jackson Estate, told The Blast that “the consideration of Leaving Neverland for an Emmy in any category other than one based on fiction is preposterous. A documentary is commonly defined as a film or video examining an event or person based on facts.”

The Michael Jackson Estate has filed a $100 million lawsuit against HBO.

I understand what their go though. it's much worst that Michael was,is,and still is one of biggest superstars on the planet. while Michael was just a person he was well known with his god given talents. sadly this family and fans old and new will have to deal with this for the rest of their lives. that's really sad. and you would think after 2005 all this stuff would be the end of it. sadly no. hope Michael is in a better place now. he don't have deal with this stuff anymore.

As far as I can see anyone can say and do anything and get away with it, unless your Michael Jackson who was probably one of the most innocent and nicest person to walk this earth

It's the world we live in now. nobody cares about justice anymore. whatever your guilty or not.

Even though it's about Michael it's still effect the family. while some deserves it they get attack for it. we should be glad Taj is doing something about this. cause the rest of the family no one knows what they would of done at this point. bless taj for doing whatever he can and still fighting for his uncle.

Makes me get a feeling like I might've once attempted that I'm getting a pure hatred against the world in 2005, but this year about nobody cares for the truth about Michael anymore that I may get that feeling again.

True but he always got a lot that people will only dream about having. he traveled the world over and over. he is LOVED by people whom he never will met; he influence generations and future generations. he is the Picture perfect" on perfect in music. he hold records that will never be broken and those that are broken, he set the standard, people pass out just the sight of you from regardless of age, race, gender, background, etc. He is gone but he will never be forgotton. he has had richest beyond anyone can dream even without having a college degree YET he has Honorary degrees, etc. So despite the downside, MJ has had a lot of great.

This is slightly off topic, but TMez is appearently going to represent RKelly.....I sincerely hope he does not make that choice. TMZ is still saying he "got MJ off in 2005". Physical evidense already proves RKelly is guilty. I dont think it looks good for TMez to take on this case. Its going to somehow look bad for Mj.

I havent watched the wade deposition video but ive heard it just proves how much of a fraud he really is.

Tito Jackson Has Thoughts On Michael Jackson’s Portrayal In 'Leaving Neverland' Documentary

https://www.bet.com/music/2019/08/14/tito-jackson-defends-michael-jackson-leaving-neverland.html

Written by Danielle Ransom

Tito Jackson, one fifth of iconic Motown group The Jackson 5, recently revealed he is planning a comeback with a follow-up to 2016’s Tito Time. The legendary guitarist got candid with the Associated Press about what personally spurred him to come out with new music. He also talked about his relationship with his brothers, with whom he is currently on tour with in Europe.

Speaking with the publication, Tito explained his return was in part motivated by a comment made by Charles Barkley nine years ago. In 2010, Barkley opined that Tito did not contribute to the group’s historic success. While his brothers went on to launch their own careers, he surmised that Tito took a step back from music to raise his family.

“I took that sort of personal,” Tito said. “He’s trying to say that I don’t contribute. So then I say, ‘Maybe it’s time they hear from me.’ I love Mr. Barkley. I am not upset about it. But it just hurts in a way where I tried to do the right thing in life, you know, raise my sons as good young black men who do the right thing by people. But now, that time has come and I’m going to do my thing.”

With the topic of the *****n’s 5 legacy on the table, the conversation took a turn towards HBO’s highly controversial Leaving Neverland documentary and the shocking sexual abuse allegations that were made against Tito’s brother Michael Jackson. In the four-hour documentary, two men — Wade Robson and James Safechuck — alleged that MJ molested them when they were boys.

Multiple members of the Jackson family have spoken out against the documentary. Paris Jackson, Jermaine Jackso, and Jackson's nephew Taj condemned the accusations as lies, and the pop star’s estate denounced the explosive documentary as a “public lynching” of the pop icon. Last month, Janet Jackson spoke positively about MJ’s enduring impact on music.

While Janet shied away from mentioning the allegations or the film, Tito's sentiments fell in line with other family members’ defensive stance.

The 65-year-old lambasted the way his brother was portrayed in the film. Although he didn’t mention Robson and Safechuck by name, Tito said that his brother’s kind nature was taken advantage of and used against him.

“The people that know Michael Jackson, it just boils our blood because he’s not anything like the perception that they’re trying to put out on him. He’s totally opposite,” Tito told the AP. “And it’s just not heard of a person being so caring and giving. But that’s, Michael has been that person ever since he’s been a kid. You know he cares about others and very giving and just like to make people happy. And sometimes people can use that against you. And that’s exactly what happened to him.”

Bit harsh I think, I know from bitter experience that what happens to one family member has an effect on the rest of the family, I fully understand what Taj means and how important it is for him to clear Michaels name, I don't get the feeling that he is trying to make it all about his family I think they have just had enough of the lies about Michael as he isn't here to do that for himself, I fully respect Taj for that

Just going by alot of the jacksons actions over the last decade. They have a habit of wanting to take either mjs success as theirs in the comments they make or make negativity about them and therefore making them relevant when its mj who is been attacked. Reading their comments and statements over the last decade shows that. Maybe its not as obvious to some if they arent native english speakers as sometimes its succint. But most of the time eye rolling.
