Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 Carrying MJ Molestation Doc

Fans. I just turned to a radio station: The question is about R Kelly and is it hypocrisy to play his music. DL think people are being hypocrites to not to play R Kelly but to continue to play MJ. Call 1-877-242-2421 and tell him it is NOT the same kind of case. You can also go on facebook page (D L Hugleyfacebook and twitter page). Blow his phone up (Many are defending Mike). If u get through on the phone, give yours facts on MJ's case. DO IT NOW.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 Carrying MJ Molestation Doc

It's almost surreal to me that people actually want Michael Jackson to be a pedophile.

Indeed it is surreal. The length to which certain people would go in their hatred is incredible. It leads them even to embrace the idea that children were harmed, rather than recognize the innocence of a vulnerable, naive man who became a most convenient target for such heinous allegations.

I find it very weird how they're using that photo and putting it front and center to promote the festival. As if they had it out for him.

It is nothing short of despicable.

Its called throwing stones to hide your hands

I would not be surprised to find out that Michael has been used as a scapegoat, while the true monsters in Hollywood and in other places of presumed power have been free to truly terrorize and victimize children. Accusing an innocent man of these crimes is not only an absolute disservice to him, his family and all those who love him, but also a complete insult to genuine victims of child molestation.

Thankfully, most folks already see through all this tabloid nonsense, as the replies to that festival's tweet and to the YouTube video show. There will always be some ignorant people who will jump at the opportunity to believe such garbage, but most can see through this horrible propaganda.

twitter.jpg

waiting a reaction from his children

I'm sure the children will respond in their own time and in their own ways. They have always defended their father and I'm sure they will continue to do so. I am afraid this is one of those occasions when ignoring the issue won't make it disappear. Unfortunately, there isn't much that can be done about it either. This so-called documentary seems to be yet another targeted attack on Michael's good name, dignity and innocence.

Four hours dedicated to this mockery of truth and justice is plenty of time to inject poisonous, sick lies into the minds of people. Those who might end up watching this hack piece should also be made aware of the following issues:

  • Michael Jackson has been tried in a court of law in 2005 (the 1993 allegation brought in trial also) and found NOT GUILTY of all charges
[*]these accusers have previously sustained his innocence (even under oath, in the case of WR)
    [*]their cases were dismissed
[*]the FBI investigated Michael for years and found NOTHING to indicate/prove his guilt

I don't know how realistic it is to hope they won't air this, but those involved may end up regretting it profoundly one day, whether on this side of existence or on the other. They would be better advised to reconsider their options. I wouldn't count on them doing the right though. Not content with selling their own souls to the devil, they want to paint Michael into their own terribly dark shades also.

Irrespective of what happens with this disgusting piece, they will NOT manage to drive too many people away from loving Michael and his music. They should know that by now. But perhaps they need reminding........

No, but the thing is Michael is being defended. It is not bad. The focus is still mainly on RKelly overall but I still wanted to tell them "it is NOT the same to compare MJ's in the same sentence as R Kelly". And YES, I got through and my comment was just played on the radio. (SMILE) Again, it seem to be done for sake of argument. My comment was HEARD..

Hopefully with enough negative publicity the Sundance Festival and Channel 4 will reconsider screening this. Wishful thinking maybe, but we can only try.
I still will be in prayer that this trash wont air; if it does, there is plenty of stuff to knock it down. And I will say it again I blame Jordan Chandler for sitting back and letting this nonsense continue because he started this mess.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 Carrying MJ Molestation Doc

That tweet by TJ is great. He can proof that the little shit actually wanted to be at the memorial? Oh man, the nerve of that guy to completely turn around and come with this horrible crap. Why did Safechuck turn around? Didn't he deny any wrongdoing during the Arvizo trial?

if these people want to hang their repuation on Wade and James, that is their lost. It is too much info, tape footage, courtdocs, etc to show Wade and James are full of it.
Exactly. At this point there’s nothing we can really do. People have already made up their mind one way or another. The information is there if they want to look. People can hope that the film is pulled but I doubt it. The info is there if anyone wants to look and if they don’t then well...

It’s the reality of the situation at this point. Negative is what gets people’s attention.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 Carrying MJ Molestation Doc

This is going to generate money and attention and that is all that is going to matter to sundance and television stations. They won't pull the "documentary".

Until a real filmmaker comes along and tells the real story, this is what we're going to have to deal with. For years I've been hoping somebody would come along with a multi part documentary series exposing the the truth of the allegations. Whether it be on Netflix, or HBO or wherever. Something that would generate a lot of interest and attention like "The Jinx" or "Making a Murderer". I guess I'll continue to wait.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 Carrying MJ Molestation Doc

Guys, anorher strategy is to bomb Beyonce, The Weeknd and Madonna with tweets, facebook messages and through other social media platforms. Those people have BIG LOVE for the King, and if they make a statement (or attack) they might pressure Sundance, C4 etc etc.

Maybe if we bomb them they could help us?

They won't.

Most celebrities who declare their love for Michael steer clear of discussing his accusations. Odds are, this absolutely won't be the occasion where the tide turns.

We can always try? I am so ****ing afraid that those lies and false accusations will be repeated 100,000 times and that people will actually start to believe that shit.

I swear if I see Safechuck and Robson once in my life, I will attack those ****ing bastards.

Save your anger. Use it to fight in the only way we can. Send emails to these accounts. Keep it sophisticated and drill the truth home. We can do this.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 Carrying MJ Molestation Doc

It's really gross that this is happening, on the tenth anniversary no less.

(First post. Long time lurker.) But this is what we need more of. Facts. In a day and age where “fake news” is all the rage, we just need all the facts we can compile. I’m just as big a fan as all of you but the more we are equipped to intelligently debunk this - the better. Even something simple as saying “he was proven innocent” is an unfortunate misnomer. In the courts, it’s always “not guilty”. Looking forward to more posts like this in the coming days. Love always.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 Carrying MJ Molestation Doc

I've just got to say. These guys really are determined in their endeavour to make money from their accusations, despite Wade saying it had nothing to do with money.
If he'd wanted to he could have released a whole self-made documentary on YouTube. FOR FREE. Even then he could have made money from advertising. But no he went down this route.
Obviously his first avenue of exploration was his book, but that didn't go down to well, but it may still see the light of day I guess.

No most likely it was planned to coincide with the 10th anniversary of MJ's death. I suspected something like this would happen because just about every MJ birthday, event, or product launch has been marked by a smear campaign since the accusations were announced, but when I mentioned it last year I was shot down by members here.

Dont give him ideas! he could be lurking this forum!

[FONT=&quot]An attorney representing two Michael Jackson accusers who appear in an upcoming documentary says their sexual-abuse allegations have not been discredited as the Jackson estate says, and deserve to be heard.
Vince Finaldi, who represents Wade Robson and James Safechuck in lawsuits alleging Jackson molested them, said the suits were dismissed on technical grounds, not the credibility of the men’s claims, and they are now under appeal.
“There were never any rulings to the court as to their testimony,” Finaldi told The Associated Press Thursday. “We stand by our clients, and we believe them, and we fully expect them to be vindicated.”

[h=2][/h]

The stories of Robson and Safechuck, who came forward as adults to say Jackson had sexually abused them for years when they were boys, will be heard again in the two-part, four-hour documentary Leaving Neverland, which will air on HBO and British public broadcaster Channel 4 in the spring. It premieres Jan. 25 at the Sundance Film Festival, the channels announced Wednesday.
The Jackson estate released a statement saying the documentary is “just another rehash of dated and discredited allegations.”
“Wade Robson and James Safechuck have both testified under oath that Michael never did anything inappropriate toward them,” the statement said, adding that both had filed lawsuits that have been dismissed.
Jackson in 2005 was acquitted of criminal molestation charges, which did not involve Robson or Safechuck.
Robson testified at that trial, saying he had slept in Jackson’s room many times, but Jackson had never molested him. Safechuck made similar statements to investigators as a boy.

[h=2][/h]

Then in 2013 Robson filed a lawsuit that said stress and trauma had forced him to face the truth that he was sexually abused by Jackson, who died in 2009. Safechuck filed a similar lawsuit the following year.
The AP does not typically identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault unless they come forward publicly, which Robson and Safechuck have done in multiple ways.
Leaving Neverland director and producer Dan Reed said in a statement that “It took great courage for these two men to tell their stories and I have no question about their validity.”
“If there’s anything we’ve learned during this time in our history, it’s that sexual abuse is complicated, and survivors’ voices need to be listened to,” Reed said.
