Controversial MJ Documentary Leaving Neverland [GENERAL DISCUSSION THREAD]

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

It was a witch hunt. I remember this local reporter William Wagener I think was his name and Gary Dunlap who was a canditate to the DA ellection in Santa Barbara in 2006 said they did that in thousands of cases and the MJ case was just the most famous one. I sent it to Aphrodite Jones she replied and said they were biased against Sneddon. That may be so but still I would like to know what was true and what was not. What Corey says here seems to confirm it.

I had been emailing with William and I avsked him to give some examples of cases. He gave serveral and that is what I sent to Aphrodite Jones. He also said Sneddon was a member of kkk and he sent all of it to MJ more that a decade earlier. Sounds to me like he wrote the song D.S about it. I don’t have this email anymore.

Channel 4 and the two men insist they are not making a penny out of the film — and we can reveal they are resurrecting their lawsuits.

Their lawyer Mr Finaldi said: “They are going back to court this summer. We fully expect them to win.”

they are appealing the previous judgment made by Beckloff made in 2017

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Can someone please explain to me how these vermin can afford the lawyers?? I think there is a repressed memory lurking close beneath the surface of a celebrity touching me inappropriately at a backstage meet-and-greet 13 years ago...

Yes, but there's NO WAY they can win. Now way.
What they want to do is not allowable under the current law as I understand it. the only way to win would be to argue that the reason for rejection is not valid (but it IS), or they need to miraculously set a new precedent and although I'm no expert in US law, I don't see why or how that would be allowed to happen. I can't see any grounds for it at all. Finaldi is full of it and I doubt Finaldi thinks they can win. I think this statement is just another attempt to rattle the MJ Estate, aimed at doing damage to MJ's reputation by providing an illusion that there is some weight to the allegations.

They dont need money now, they have Finaldi chasing after fictitious victioms, like he has done it for years

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

So this "documentary" will just revive punk ass Wade's old claims. The ones have that been thrown out by the judge. I really hope that the people that aren't in the know will use their minds and not jump to any conclusions. There are tons of stories out there that completely debunk anything this trash person says. Actual cold hard facts and it's so frustrating knowing a lot of people won't ever get to read that.

Gary dunlop was set up on false charges by sneddon. Dunlop won his case against him. there were many such cases such as dr sundaram etc etc that were all showcased by the old mjjf radio back in the day. Sneddon had a long history of maliciously prosecuting people who stood up to him and his croonies. Wagner though imo isnt credible. He was know for outlandish conspiracy theories and didnt help. Aphrodite jones at the begining was a big hater who did what she could to have mj convicted. Then flipped when she saw how things were going.as fake as they come

No, they actually aren't still trying to receive a settlement from the Estate. Their claims have been dismissed and the Estate made it clear, from the very beginning, that there would be no settlement. That's why it went as far as the courts in the first place. In actual fact, they owe the Estate more than $100000 in legal costs and fees.

Finaldi has said they're appealing the case's dismissal, so I'd say they ARE still pursuing a financial settlement. Or at least they're hoping too.

I find it laughable that the Sun makes a point about the pair not getting paid for the documentary as if that adds some sort of validation to their motives, and yet they filed a civil suit which results in a financial payment if they are successful. Oh and don't forget the publishing deal that Robson was trying to negotiate for his "tell all" book before he approached the MJ Estate for money. Whether they were paid for the documentary or not (at least not directly) their motivation is clearly cash.

I see this documentary as an escalation of their PR campaign against the MJ Estate.
They have previously used press releases to inform the press of their allegations in detail. Now they want to use this documentary.

I've said it before, the MJ Estate knew exactly who was involved in this documentary before sundance or anybody else announced who they were. Their first statement, which was very quickly released, makes it very clear. That tells me the MJ Estate already knew. They were prepared. The only explanation I can think of is if they had been told in advance. Who would do that? My assumption is Finaldi and co asked for money and were again rejected. Of course that could be incorrect. It's only my assumption.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

Disgraceful. The synopsis says four hour documentary delving into the child molestation accusations against MJ, including accounts by two of his accusers. So to fill the four hours they will inevitably rehash the Jordan Chandler and Gavin Arvizo accusations.

And i'm sure with sound bytes from Diamond, Sneddon and others from 93 and 05.

The TABLOID SUN who always seem to want to go after MJ since the 80's can shut up. The fools do not have to get paid by the doc because they lied and tried to get money in court but the judge saw through their lies and now they want to use this doc to make money in other ways and are upset they lost their lying case. Got to play up your lie. That is the Oldest trick in the book.

Sidenote: Notice this lawyer ALWAYS go to tabloid media.

If they get money from all of this I hope they spend it ALL in medicine, (in the same Jordan Chandler’s pharmacy) nothing too serious but lots of little annoying problems. I’m not a bad person but they’re causing deep sorrow to so many people especially to Michael’s children and there’s no need because for them every day is a tough day even without this disgusting lies. I’m very angry right now.

Tbh the UK media in general is pretty crap. Mostly people believe whatever they put out so they just publish anything they want.

Re: Sundance Festival 2019 - Controversial MJ Documentary "Leaving Neverland"

After MJ passed away I never would have thought we'd still be seeing this kind of shit ten years later.

Just now in the comment section on another site this lady clearly is talking out of her *beeeeep*. Saying that MJ wasn't only hit by his father, but that she truly believes he was sexuallt abused too, used as prostitute, etc. She goes on to say that he has been accused several times and that it's hard to turn a blind eye to that. Sigh. So I replied, "that's unless you just go do some research. Look up actual facts. It's quite eye opening, it's shocking really." and I give some examples too.

Then this idiot goes on about "his obsession with little boys. Neverland meant to enchant little kids. What grown man sleeps in same bed as kids. That he had the kid of money to make kids lie on the stand. And then this effin idiot has the nerve to say" Smh at all you fans blindly following false idols instead of thoroughly examining the facts and assessing the truth.".

I've given plenty of facts, tried to keep it brief but informative but I'm sure this person will come back with some BS reply or won't reply at all.

I'm so.... so goddamned done with these people.

It is really disgusting especially since he died but don’t waste your time on people like that. We spent many hours during many years checking facts and we know it. They read tabloids and take that for facts. If a serous investigation with credible vitnesses had proved him to be guilty that would have made me really sad but I would have accepted it that was very far from the truth and all of that deserves to come out in the public. A less bias media could have reacted at the Evanstory lawsuit in 96 for example and started checking what the h*** is this and they could have at least intervied Geraldine Hughes once the she tried to come out and tell her story etc, etc.

She just sound like a nut cast. MJ used as a prostitute. Really. You gave that nut the facts (girls were at Neverland as well but them seem to overlook that). This has nothing to do with false idols, it has to do with being fair to a PERSON. Wont be surprise if that is just some idoit trying to bait you and some pervert herself/himself. It does not matter what she/he thinks. MJ was innocent. End of story and it is NOTHING she can do. You continue to give facts regardless if they respond back of not. If she call you a "blind fans", call her a hater" because ONLY haters talk like that, NOT sensible people. And who died and made that @#$% an expert on Michael Jackson? It amazes me that people like that want to question u as a fan YET they are NOT a fan and nothing else YET they want to ack like they know everything about a person and then want to accused others of liking false idols while ignoring we are NOT suppose to JUDGE. She can STFU. You tell that poster that butterfly.
