[Discussion] Sexual Abuse Claims Against MJ Estate - Robson/ Safechuck/ Doe

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

I just listen to Tmez interview yesterday from the link provided by Seany , and took a few notes (it's a bit long, I think over an hour) . Not everything is relevant, so I took notes of what I think is relevant here.

link to the interview : http://www.blogtalkradio.com/jordan-king/2013/05/16/tom-meserau-defends-michael-jackson
direct link : http://blogtalk.vo.llnwd.net/o23/show/4/839/show_4839873.mp3

-in 05 did not have to put Robson on the stand, thought he had done enough on cross, Put him on the stand because Robson is intelligent, likeable, gave a very strong testimony, Robson subjected to harsh cross by Zonen, Zonen one of the best prosecutor TMEZ has worked against,

-TMEZ was wary of witnesses - he didn't want to share strategies- for fear the witnesses would share them with the press or other lawyers, Witnesses screened before meeting Tmez by other people -private investigators,
Robsons was adamant to defend Michael, Robson intelliegent, talented, precise then,

-no perjury : he told the truth in 2005, perjury will be when he says what he says now under oath,(if there is a trial)

- Brett Barnes gave up a very important job in Australia to testify for Michael

-could this filing go into the AEG trial ? :Tmez doesn't think so (his guess), maybe through an expert about "reputation dollar value" when expert is asked what he based their opinion on, so AEG lawyers might try that

- seald info in court / is robson free to talk about it : no gag order yet, so yes, he's free to talk about it. There has to be a reason for filing under seal, if you go around talking about what is sealed, , the media will ask to unseal : he's making it easier to unseal the claims.

- under seal filing : complaint is in a sealed envelope with the seal request indicating reason for seal (examples of reasons : right of privacy - attorney /client priviledge, doctors /patient priviledge)

-if the claim is thrown out can the estate go after him ? Tmez's sense is that the estate won't do that : you don't want to reopen the case, if it's thrown out

-libel : there is a law against libeling a business, that could apply here, since Michael is gone There is the possibility of libel against Wade, but doesn't think the Estate is going to do that , = you have to prove that it is malicious (intent) and false, it would not be easy, Michael is not here to defend himself, it makes it even more difficult, Robson would have an easy defense (my therapist convinced me, I believed it was true)

talks about the bouquet Michael sent to his sister when she was sick during 05 trial "bouquet bigger than the door + poem from Michael " She wasn't expecting that , he created a special moment for her, he did the same to a lot of people around the world,

-Settlement in 93 opened a pandora's box, 1000s of kids visited neverland, and only a handful of complaints, Open floodgates of suits (Hayvensurt, Neverland employees), Same thing would happen again if Wade wins this one,

-Sneddon worked with a lot of experts from Quantico Va (FBI), child abuse experts, Tmez prepared to cross examin them, Sneddon didn't even call them , Sneddon travelled to Canada and Australia in the mid 90s, maybe more places, Sneddon couldn't find anything,

- Was told that Stacy Brown was working for the Sneddon, Stacy brown said on Tv that he didn't understand Michael's acquittal,

- psych nurse callied during the interview (about repressed memories, interview was one yesterday) : usually you have long term problems BEFORE repressed memories come back, not just a brekdown, trouble would have appeared much earlier, She says there is no empyrical evidence of repressed memories in robson's case Compares repressed memory to deja vu : you don't remember but you feel there's something wrong : he would not have felt comfortable around Michael (I'm simplifying a little) , he would have felt something was wrong, but wouldn't know what,

-2 grand juries in 93/94 : 200 witnesses, Tmez not sure if Robson testified or was deposed for one or both grand juries,

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

This is heartbreaking. Wade is lying through his teeth, his claims are so unbelievable precisely because he has said the exact opposite for 20 years. When he was a child, when he was a young adult, when he testified under oath in a criminal trial, when he was cross-examined by Ron Zonen, after MJ was acquitted, after MJ died, again and again and again.

Him claiming that he didn't fully realise or accept that what happened was wrong is just ludicrous. Of all the claims made against MJ of child molestation, this claim is the most preposterous of them all.

THANKFULLY, this seems to be getting very little coverage in the media (outside of the US at least). In the UK, this has barely registered. However, how long can it go on being unreported if Wade does a tour of tv channels giving interviews? I just hope a judge throws this out at the first instance.

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

wow Taj.... :puke:

I just want to thank him for what he just did.

:better:

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

Ugh, I don't even wanna open my Opus anymore and see an entire page dedicated for Wade's "tribute." Makes me sick.

I ripped mine out already..

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

His lawyer said himself the claim was made now due to repressed memories, didn't he? And now that asshole changed to "I always knew it I was in denial."

Wow. Now I don't believe that Michael was guilty at all. But didn't Wade just admit to what amounts to perjury according to United States law?

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

Wow. Now I don't believe that Michael was guilty at all. But didn't Wade just admit to what amounts to perjury?

no, his lawyer didn't specify if it was repressed memories. he didn't give a precise expalnation.

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

I cannot believe that this ungrateful bastard with the fat touch of being a jerk could do such a thing to Michael when this little devil had the privilege to meet Michael and even dance with him on stage and in music videos. It pisses me off when I see and hear that him, Chandler, Arvizo and Francia has been around Michael and his Neverland and have the evil nerve to destroy his life and career by lavish these allegations against him. Who knows what Michael would react if he saw this if he were still alive today? This is a man who I longed to dream of to see him live at concert for a few hours at least for so many years before he died and then I see these young pricks who had the chance of hanging out with him in person for a long period of time and then show their evil side of treating Michael. Beyond my comprehension. I sadly understand to some extent why Michael needed to leave this planet. Michael was too good and gentle person to be surrounded by adult people who wanted to use him for the money. He instead saw happiness in children but they also had a greed mind in them by taking advantage of Michael. I dont know if Michael would be abled to handle these allegations if he was alive. Why must these allegations resurface again and again?

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

How much media attention is this getting in the US?

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

How much media attention is this getting in the US?

It is just catching on over past couple days. it started with TMZ which is a rag then Wade started talking to mainstream media like below.

For those who've not seen this, yet, I think you should watch this at your discretion

WADE ROBSON on NBC's Today Show

Like I said before, I believe Wade is stirring the pot for media attention like TMez said (in other words) perhaps Wade thinks the media will buy into the "Let's slander Michael Jackson's name & legacy" again and lean toward Wade Robson's , Lies, untruths. For some reason (like TMez said) speaking about a sealed document is grounds to get it unsealed, I get a feeling Wade wants this, because why is he speaking to the media knowing this, if he wants it private sealed at his request.. I can not believe WADE would do this.
So Far a lot of tv personalities, and celebs alike, haven't believed WADE.
I think it's untrue what Wade is saying. The whole world wants Money now. Greed.
This is really heart breakingly sad of Wade and just the whole ordeal.

Wade Robson calls Michael Jackson 'a pedophile'
By Alan Duke, CNN

Los Angeles (CNN) -- A dancer-choreographer befriended by Michael Jackson when he was a child now calls the late pop icon "a pedophile and a child sexual abuser."

Wade Robson, who is seeking money from Jackson's estate for alleged child sex abuse, talked about his claims Thursday on NBC's "Today" show.

Robson, now 30, denied in testimony at Jackson's child molestation trial in 2005 that he had been molested by the singer.

Two months after Jackson's death in 2009, Robson said they had "a wonderful relationship" and he called Jackson "a kind human being."

"This is not a case of repressed memory," Robson told "Today's" Matt Lauer. "I never forgot one moment of what Michael did to me, but I was psychologically and emotionally completely unable and unwilling to understand that it was sexual abuse. "
The lawyer for Jackson's estate called the accusations "outrageous and sad" in a statement given after the Thursday interview.

"Mr. Robson has adamantly denied under oath and in numerous interviews over the past 20 years that Michael Jackson ever did anything inappropriate to him," Jackson estate attorney Howard Weitzman said. "He now wants us to believe that he committed perjury at least twice and has been lying to anyone and everyone about Mr. Jackson since the early '90s so he can file a claim for money. Mr. Robson's transparent lawsuit comes nearly four years after Michael passed."

The accusation came in the form of a creditor's claim against the estate in a Los Angeles probate court this month.

Jackson defender files sex abuse claim

Robson said the abuse started when he was 7-years-old, when he often visited Jackson's Neverland Ranch. It continued until he was 14, he said.

"He performed sexual acts on me and forced me to perform sexual acts on him," Robson said.

Jackson was acquitted of child molestation charges in 2005, partly based on the testimony of Robson, his sister and his mother.

"It's absurd," said Tom Mesereau, the lawyer who successfully defended Jackson in the trial. "He was one of the strongest witnesses for the defense at Michael Jackson's criminal trial in 2005. He was adamant under oath that he had never been molested at any time."

Robson said his denial to investigators during a 1993 criminal investigation was the result of Jackson's "complete manipulation and brainwashing" of him. He denied Jackson ever offered money to keep him quiet.

"He would call me every day and role play and tell me the same sort of things and also tell me then that if anyone ever thought that we did these things, any of these sexual things, that both of us would go to jail for the rest of our lives," he said.

Robson met Jackson in his native Australia when he was just 5. Jackson invited him for frequent stays at Neverland after Robson and his family moved to Los Angeles two years later. Their visits continued until he was 13, according to court testimony.

Choreographer: AEG considered 'pulling the plug' on Jackson's comeback

"From day one of the abuse, Michael told me that we loved each other and that this was love, that this was an expression of our love. And then you follow that up with 'but if you ever tell anyone what we're doing, both of our lives and our career will be over,'" he told Lauer.

Robson paid tribute to Jackson In an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" to promote his choreography work on the MTV Video Music Awards in August 2009.

"I just had a wonderful relationship," he said. "I learned so much from him, as an artist and as a kind human being, and it's my goal to just try and continue as much as I can in my own little world that legacy.

"We talk so much about him as the pop legend, which is important, but it's nice to remember that he was a man, that he was a father," Robson said. "And that's what it's really about is a father and his children, and he was a wonderful dad."

But it was becoming a father himself two and a half years ago that caused Robson to change his story about Jackson, he said.

He said he "collapsed into two nervous breakdowns, terrifying nervous breakdowns" in his son's first 18 months.

"At that point I had no idea what was wrong with me, what was going on," he said. "During the second one, this thing happened where I started looking at him and imagining him being a victim of the sexual abuse that I was at the hands of Michael. For the first time in my life, I began to realize that my completely numb and unexplored feelings in relationship to what Michael did to me might be a problem and maybe I need to speak to someone about it."

The accusations created a major stir among Jackson fans, many calling Robson a traitor to the man who made his career. They argue his motivation is money from Jackson's estate.

"I understand completely how hard it is to understand this," he said. "That being said, the idea that I would make all of this up and put myself, my wife, my son, my entire family through this extremely stressful and painful experience all for the sake of money is completely incomprehensible."

Witness: 'Everybody was lying' after Jackson died

Robson said the court claim is about healing.

"I've lived in silence and denial for 22 years, and I can't spend another moment in that," he said. "In order to truly heal I have to speak my truth and speak the whole truth. That's one thing you'll never see from me. I'm never going to go away with this for the sake of money. I'm never going to be silenced for money. That's not going to happen."

Lauer asked Robson what comes to mind now when he thinks of Michael Jackson.

"Heartbreak, pain, anger and compassion," he said. "There's no excuse for what he did to me and I believe many others, but he was a troubled man and every effect has its cause. The image that one presents to the world is not the whole explanation of who someone is. Michael Jackson was, yes, an incredibly talented artist with an incredible gift. He was many things. And he was also a pedophile and a child sexual abuser."

The 2005 trial in Santa Barbara County, California, centered on charges that Jackson had molested a 13-year-old cancer survivor who often visited his ranch. He was also charged with plying the boy with alcohol and conspiring to abduct, extort and falsely imprison the child and his family. He was acquitted on all counts.

"I've known Michael for a long time. I've spent many hours talking to him about everything. I trust him. I trust him with my children," Joy Robson, the mother of Wade Robson, testified when called as a prosecution witness.

Robson said she let Wade, who was then 7, and daughter Chantal sleep in Jackson's bedroom from the first visit.

Thanks Robson - for turning sexual abuse into a media circus, booking 'easy listening' shows and trash shows. You just turned the clock back 25 years in the way abuse victims will be judged as having an ulterior motive. Thanks a lot for hurting tons of abuse victims who are now forced to do something awful: Tell someone off who alleges abuse.
You were a man in 2005, Robson and if this was true you fu*&ed up bigtime and failed those whom you claim to help.

All my love to Taj.
a fellow one who lives to tell

We know your heart Maestro, never fear.

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

^^ The more he speaks to the media the more he'll change his story. He's already doing it. It's like the game telephone. By the time he speaks to the last person, it won't even be the same story. Hopefully people catch on to this.

Yes. But I think he's hoping that people are so brainwashed by now about Michael Jackson that they won't realize there are very serious problems with his claims.

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

This is about money, but like TMEZ said celebrity spot light on Wade Robson. Can't recall any accuser, high profile or not doing media interviews, much less with out legal counsel. Wade Robson is driven mad that he is not Jamie King.

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

Apparently Inside Edition has interviewed that fat lying maid Adrian McManus from 1993... Holy crap..
I hope they bring out her testimony and told how she was PAID money from the 2005.

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

Oh dear, now of course all those accusations of MJ showering with Wade and stuff are suddenly "true".

Honestly, I don't know if MJ's reputation can survive this blow. He's not even here to defend himself

it has survived much worse. those who already thought MJ was an abuser will still believe so, despite the court verdict. those who believe were smart enough to believe through 2 earlier accusations. they will be smart enough to see thorugh these hollow ridiculous lies. hence the reason th epress has not been as big.

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

The comments on CNN are mostly in MJ's favor thank God.

If Adrian McManus is crawling out of her woodwork people need to know this about her!

Ralph Chacon, Kassim Abdool and Adrian McManus

The so called “Neverland 5” was a group of five former employees of Jackson: Kassim Abdool, Ralph Chacon, Adrian McManus, Sandy Domz and Melanie Bangall who sued Jackson in the 90s alleging wrongful termination. Three of these five people – Abdool, Chacon and McManus - testified for the prosecution at the Jackson’s 2005 trial in support of their “prior bad acts” case. They claimed that during their employment at Neverland (1990/1991 to 1994) they witnessed Jackson behave inappropriately with children. Former security guard, Chacon claimed he witnessed Jackson sexually molesting Jordan Chandler on one occasion. Former security guard, Abdool, who worked directly with Chacon on the same shift, and described himself as Chacon's friend, did not make that same claim, but he supported Chacon’s allegations by claiming he, too witnessed some of the improprieties Chacon claimed to have witnessed. Former maid, McManus claimed that she witnessed Jackson behave inappropriately with Jordan Chandler, Brett Barnes and Macaulay Culkin. None of these people ever reported or even mentioned what they had allegedly seen at the time that the alleged molestations and improprieties supposedly occurred. These stories first surfaced in the spring of 1994, more than half a year after the Chandler scandal went public.

In actuality, on December 7, 1993 Adrian McManus testified under oath in a deposition for the Chandler civil case that she never observed any inappropriate behavior or any form of sexual behavior by Jackson towards Jordan Chandler or any other child. She even said she trusted Jackson so much that she would have no problem with leaving her son alone with him. When Jackson’s attorney, Thomas Mesereau confronted her with her 1993 deposition in 2005, McManus simply claimed that she did not tell the truth in that 1993 deposition.

Shortly after that time, Abdool and Chacon (McManus joined later) went to a civil attorney, Michael Ring, who on their behalf, on December 2, 1994, filed a civil lawsuit against Jackson and other employees of the star demanding $16 million in damages (eventually all five people of the “Neverland 5” group). They claimed that during their employment they were harassed and intimidated, which resulted in emotional distress and various medical problems that made them “emotionally disabled” and unable to work. They also claimed that they were wrongfully terminated by Jackson. Jackson counter-sued and eventually Chacon and McManus were found guilty of stealing from Jackson’s property.

At the civil trial the Neverland 5 and their attorney were sanctioned $66,000 for lying during their depositions and on the stand and for discovery violations (ie. for hiding evidence from Jackson’s lawyers). Judge Zel Canter, who presided over the civil trial, left the bench after stating he was disgusted. The jury rejected the wrongful termination lawsuit against Jackson and ordered the Neverland 5 to pay him damages. The court also imposed attorneys fees and costs of $1.4 million against plaintiffs. As of the time of their testimony in 2005 none of them paid the damages to Jackson. According to his testimony, after the verdict in the civil trial Chacon filed for bankruptcy.

During the 2005 trial, while on the stand, Chacon denied he knew anything about the amount of money his lawyer demanded from Jackson at the civil trial. However, documents from a deposition of Chacon at the time showed that not only did he know of the $16 million demand from the entertainer, but at one point Chacon even said that $16 million was not enough. Later, on re-cross examination Chacon admitted he knew how much money was demanded in the lawsuit. He also said in a deposition that Jackson should compensate him for the rest of his life.

Before their lawsuit in the 90s, under the direction of their attorney, Michael Ring the Neverland 5 contacted a tabloid broker, Gary Morgan from the Splash News and Picture Agency to sell slanderous stories about Jackson and children and also about Jackson and his then wife, Lisa Marie Presley. Morgan arranged interviews with magazines, such as The Star and TV programs, such as Inside Edition. According to McManus’ 2005 testimony, $32,000 or more was received for their stories and almost all of it went to Ring, to finance their civil lawsuit, from which they hoped to get millions of dollars. Chacon admitted that before they went to The Star they also talked to a certain journalist, Victor Gutierrez. Abdool also talked about this connection, stating that he met Gutierrez once and they had a two, three hours conversation. McManus testified that Gutierrez “was going to try to help us in our lawsuit”.

On the stand Abdool claimed that he, Chacon and McManus did not discuss and harmonize their stories in advance that they were selling to tabloids. However, this was contradicted by Chacon’s testimony in which he admitted they made drafts about their stories in Ring’s office about what they were going to tell tabloids.

Besides making money, another purpose for these interviews and the Neverland 5’s claims of having witnessed Jackson in improper situations with children: putting pressure on him and trying to make him settle the case. Although at Jackson’s 2005 trial Chacon claimed not to have known anything about such tactics, he admitted it would not surprise him if that was the case.

Q. BY MR. MESEREAU: At the time you and Mr. Abdool and Ms. McManus and your lawyer went to a tabloid to give a story about Mr. Jackson, do you know whether or not your lawyer was trying to negotiate money from Mr. Jackson?
A. No, sir.
Q. Do you know whether or not your lawyer was trying to pressure Mr. Jackson by threatening bad publicity?
A. No, sir.
Q. Did you ever hear of anything like that going on?
A. No, sir.
Q. Okay. So if that went on, you’d be shocked, true?
A. Probably not, sir.
Q. Probably not?
A. I guess not, no.

One of Chacon’s complaints in the 1995 lawsuit against Jackson was that Jackson caused him emotional distress because he “stared at him all the time”. Because of that he claimed he was entitled to damages. When his claim was found to be false Jackson’s attorney, Tom Mesereau asked him why he said that if it was not true. Chacon’s answer was: “I guess just to say it”.

During the civil trial in the 1990s, another former employee of Jackson’s, Francine Orosco testified that McManus asked her to say she witnessed a male employee of Jackson sexually harass McManus. Orosco also testified that she visited McManus at home during their employment and McManus showed her a room filled with watches, posters, clocks, sunglasses, T-shirts and laundry baskets filled with Michael Jackson’s clothes and other items she stole from Neverland. It was also found that McManus stole a drawing Jackson made of Elvis Presley and sold it for $1000 to Gary Morgan from Splash.

It also emerged that earlier McManus and her husband were ordered to pay $17,000 each in another lawsuit, in which it was ascertained that they stole money from an estate that was set-up for minor relatives of McManus. They willfully and maliciously defrauded Shane and Megan McManus, a nephew and a niece of Adrian McManus, out of their money. They were sued by Rosalie Hill, the children's guardian ad litem. Judge Richard A. St. John found that the the money was held in the trust for the benefit of those two children and McManus and her husband dissipated those funds.

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

MJ'S NEPHEW
I WAS MOLESTED AS A CHILD
And Michael Helped Me Cope
BREAKING NEWSMichael Jackson's nephew Taj Jackson -- Tito's son -- just revealed he was molested by a family member on his mom's side when he was a kid ... and says Michael personally consoled him after the incident.

Taj dropped the bombshell on Twitter this morning during a tirade aimed at MJ accuser Wade Robson.

During the tweet session, Taj claimed he's in a unique position to judge Robson's sexual abuse allegations because he knows what it's like to have gone through such a traumatic experience.

"That is how I KNOW Wade is lying. Because I AM a survivor," Taj tweeted. Followed by: "I was sexually abuse (sic). By [a family member] on my mom's side of the family when I was a kid."

As for Michael, Taj says MJ "was a support system for me and my mom" during his abuse ordeal ... he even tweeted a picture of a note he says MJ wrote to his mother. The scrawl reads:

"Dee Dee please read this article about child molestation and please read it to Taj (and his siblings) ... it brings out how even your own relatives can be molesters of children, even uncles or aunts molesting nephews or nieces. Please Read. Love MJ."

And Taj makes it clear -- he thinks Robson is LYING for CASH.

"What people will $ay and do for money and to $tay relevant is $ickening. De$perate times call for De$perate mea$ures. #Money."

Meh its inside edition i'm SOOO not surprise about who they get...

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

I wonder how much money Wade received from AEG to spread false allegations about MJ.

Whatever can be said, the timing between the AEG trial and these allegations is not a simple coincidence.

I am sorry to say that but I just hope that Wade this bastard will rot in hell.

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

This bastard is such a liar. If any of this was true he would have wanted healing he would have wanted to face his abuser. NOT wait four years. Remember the victims of Jerry Sandusky? When they had their chance they told their story in a court of law and they had been really traumatized.
I look forward to Wade getting caught in his web of lives because he will. It will happen sooner rather than later

"We know your heart Maestro, never fear"~this made me cry Pace. It is so true.. thank you for the beautiful words

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

Another thing that doesn't make sense to me is that Wade's lawyer is going to court soon to have the complaint sealed. (Am I right?). And here Wade is giving public television interviews. Why? Isn't that messing things up even more for his lawyer?

Re: Wade Robson files claim of childhood sexual abuse against MJ-Estate

1993, 2003, 2013.... Nice little sequence we got going here.
