Does anyone else feel like they'll never reach a verdict?

My patience is being tested by how long the process seems to be taking, I realise they have to weigh up all the evidence and witness statements but I'm getting frustrated. It honestly feels as though they'll never reach a verdict as they keep delaying it and trying to find new evidence. It's more frustrating for us fans because we just want to know what happened so we can let Michael rest in peace instead of wondering what happened. If only Michael could tell us himself I'm sure he would. Only one person knows what really happened, personally I think he's guilty and should be banned from the medical profession for life.

No, I don't think he's going to walk.

But by the charges we have now, I don't think justice will be served.

well i do cause the way the case is going to turn out those higher ups going to make sure they make my MJ look like an addict

I don't see how any jury can ignore Murray's beyond gross negligence against MJ! Whether they beleive in the end MJ was an addict or not, Murray was the doctor and I would hope they would not want there Doctor to act the way he did with MJ! As long as they understand this, Murray in my opinion Will not walk free!

I highly doubt he will walk. I mean, it's so plain obvious. It's in your face - that man did not care for MJ's life.

Considering what we heard during the hearing, I cant imagine them not reaching a guilty verdict. The defense doesnt seem to have a plausible strategy, and I personally find the prosecution quite good. I hope I'm not mistaken.

Regardless of how the defense spin it - we have a doctor who leaves a patient alone whilst under anaesthetic. Guilty as charged.
IMHO the charges should have been for 2nd degree murder with many lesser charges added on. Murray should never be allowed to practise medicine again. I also hope that a civil suit against him makes sure that he can never ever profit from any book or appearance which mentions the name of Michael. For Murray to profit in any way after Michael's death would be the ultimate betrayal of justice in my book.

Jesus. I thought the jury was going to comeback soon with a verdict....Have not been following the case for a couple of months....

The trial hasn't started yet, they had the hearings a couple of months back, followed by the preliminaries, which I believe is what we're currently going through. They're still selecting jurors, sifting through what can and can not be used in court, etc.

this process is quick if he hadnt asked for a quick trial u would have been lucky if the trial had started this year

you sure are right there Elusive..they take forever to have court here in the US...it really is quite annoying..I have seen some cases take YEARS...

I think he may as well becuase the current charge is not enough but it never will be  :boohoo

He may do some time, and then he will cash in using MJ. He will probably end up getting what he looked

to get in the first place: money.

I swear to God the Jackson family better do everything in their power to prevent this man from profiting off his murder of MJ. If they win their civil suit that should prevent him from doing reality shows or writing books. That family better have their asses in a press conference as soon as Murray attempts to do anything. So far they've done absolutely nothing for MJ, but they better do something then.

Of course, they'll reach a verdict. I think they will convict him of IM. I don't see how not. Despite all of the distractions and theories some simple questions like "did you leave Mr. Jackson alone to make phone calls while he was sedated with a general anesthetic? Did you call 911 immediately upon finding him in distress? Did you have emergency resus. equipment available?" ought to be able to sink him.

But then I get to thinking about the OJ trial and I start to chew my nails...

Only God knows.

Mesereau said juries are usually reluctant to convict doctors. Then thanks to the media, people have been conditioned to think that Mike have been addicted to pain medication since 1984 and that he was desperate to get adequate sleep everytime he goes on tour. So those are the two hurdles that must be overcome. I'm praying though that justice will prevail.

Actually believe it or not, this case is happening around normal time period.

OJ Simpson case took 15 months, Michael Jackson's own lawsuit took 18 months (from the time he was charged to the verdict), Anna Nicole Smith murder case took 18 months after the charges were filed (overall it ended 3.5 years after her death).

So Murray has been charged in February 2010. If the trial starts as planned and goes on as planned the verdict would come around the 18 month mark which is normal like I said.
