Don't Buy The Album!

More album sales = more ratings and records for Michael = the bigger Michael's legacy gets and the longer it continues.

I know Sony are bad but the other music labels would probably do the same thing.....they are all the same!!!!

I brought the album because I collect Michael Jackson CD's and I need every bit of new/unreleased material available.

Re: Yes, Buy The Album!

I know this sounds horrible! But Sony is really screwing us over here. I cant believe they would release a song that was already released by another group. If you dont know what im talking about check this out.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCV1h40oS0o The song is beautiful and Mike sounds amazing. But if he wanted it out he would have recorded new vocals for it and fixed it up. He deserves much more than this. If you want to buy the cd just to support his estate-- and i know thats why many of us want to buy it-- then buy something else to make up for it, like one of his older cd's if yours are worn out. Or go watch the movie a couple times. But this doesnt feel right to me.. and I was looking so forward to it too!! :(... this saddens me!!!!!!!!

Stop with the TINI mess! It was enough that they helped diminish the sales of the TII movie, now you want to help them further destroying Michael? Any support we show for records or movies or DVDs is support for his legacy and his children. Haven't u all realized by now that Michael Jackson and Sony co-own the Sony/ATV catalogue? So no matter what they will get their portion but MJ will get the larger share for his music. Michael co-wrote the song "I Never Heard/This Is It" w/ Paul Anka back in the early 80s. It was never released but was authorized to be recorded by Safire in 1991. I think most of us would agree that Michael never authorized release of that song, but it was Sony who made that decision on their own. The executors of his estate had to immediately rectify the situation by giving Anka his 50% share of proceeds from that song, not the whole album.
I do agree that MJ did not authorize this list of songs for this album. I believe he had other songs he wanted added. But he kept that under his hat. What I want to know is where are all those songs that MJ recorded with Akon, Will.I.am and others? Who stole those recordings? That's what we need to know. Those belong to Michael's estate. Not to Sony nor the Jackson family.

Well, I haven't bought the album but the only reason for that is I feel there isn't enough new or extra material. Someone mentioned there's a nice poem and that got me intriqued but I'm still not rushing to buy the album yet. It's rather expensive and I still haven't bought Moonwalk, which takes presedence in importance to me. I might buy the album some day but I do know I'm certainly getting the DVD.

i don't like how they only have it as a double disc with only 4 frigging tracks on the 2nd disc....womp womp

Yeah, I thought exactly the same thing at first when I saw the album!

2topic: It is like that, it's all about the money nowadays and there's nothing we can really do about it! Not buyin' it won't help at all, believe me - there will always be enough people who buy that so that Sony can make money. Mike won't ever come back again and we all know that, that's why we all want all the stuff we can get from Mike. So you really can't tell all us real fans to not buy the album! This just won't work and it's not supposed to work! Unfortunately Mike's dead so there's nothing he can do about Sony makin' money and whatever happens now, it won't change anything, it won't bring us anything cuz' whether Sony earns money or not - as I said Mike won't come back and all of this doesn't matter anymore! Mike can't do nothing about all of this, anyway. He has his peace now so why do worry about all of this garbage?
