Seeing many discussions about the Estate the last weeks, I thought we could take the energy we use for ranting and put it into creating a petition :unsure: - positive vibes and so on.

I know the probability to achieve something with this is very low BUT we can at least try.

My idea is, to create a list of what we would like to have released in the next years, get a lot of people to sign the petition, share everything on several social media platforms and send it to the Estate, of course.

Please don't use this thread to discuss about the Estate or to point out that it is senseless - I would like you post your ⭐ personal wishlists *yay, Christmas* ⭐in this thread so we can create the petition afterwards.

For example, I would like to have some concerts in high quality and demo releases (maybe like they did on Xscape: demo-version and finished song, acapella stuff from studio recording sessions would be sooo cool, too 😭).

Please post your ideas and let's be so annoying that they don't have any other chance than to fulfill our wishes 🙌.

Overview so far (May 11th):

  • Behind the scenes/rehearsal footage from short film productions, concerts, studio sessions,...
  • Album releases with demos (demo state, acapella versions and finished mixes – similar to Xscape); showing the way Michael was working, maybe extra commentary from producers who he worked with
  • The Ultimate Collection available on Spotify
  • Shout and On the Line available
  • Releasing the demos of the songs that were on the MICHEAL album
  • With albums that have less material available they could go the John Lennon route and create a disc of Evolution Mixes, Documentary Mixes, Elemental Mixes, and Ultimate Mixes
  • A standalone concert on Blu-ray, or an entirely separate Bad Tour campaign featuring as many available concerts as possible, which might be an exclusive to the official website with a standalone concert or highlights Blu-ray sold everywhere else
  • Stripped back version of Invincible
  • One Night Only from the Beacon Theatre in New York

Sidenotes:
  • Modern generation don't watch movies/music videos anymore - tiktok
  • Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus - sell physical copies for fans who collect
  • Many new interested people expected after Biopic → material should be available in the best quality for new listeners/viewers

I think the sidenotes are important, too...what will convince them most is making money, so I guess we should keep that in mind. Focusing on things that many people will buy/watch/listen to, not just fans.

I doubt any petion's gonna make the Estate do something the fans desire. The fans, as well as Michael's family and collaborators have literally begged them not to release the Cascio tracks, yet they've ignored that call and stubbornly followed their own agenda.

Even worse, in the past they didn't even bother to stick to their own statements and/or press releases regarding album releases - not once but multiple times.

There is. Iirc, it's from 2008.
 
I’m sure this has plenty of inaccuracies, unconfirmed tracks etc, but it’s just a very rough idea of what could easily be done. I can’t find my original ideas so I’ve thrown this together. With albums that have less material available they could go the John Lennon route and create a disc of Evolution Mixes, Documentary Mixes, Elemental Mixes, and Ultimate Mixes. There’s no real excuses anymore to create immersive box sets for hardcore fans.

There would be a one disc iteration of the original album mix, a two disc iteration, again featuring the original album mix and a Highlights From The Ultimate Edition disc.

Maybe a standalone concert on Blu-ray, or an entirely separate Bad Tour campaign featuring as many available concerts as possible, which might be an exclusive to the official website with a standalone concert or highlights Blu-ray sold everywhere else.

The Fragments and Instrumentals disc would feature the appropriate working name as apposed to fragments and instrumentals #1, #2, etc.

It's a total pipedream with how incomplete the songs are and with the dismissal of the Estate with said type of songs but I would love for a release of the last songs Michael was working on, even if we go with just the few songs that are known for a fact to have been recorded would already fill in an entire album by itself.

First of all, they must release Invincible 25th! With all outtakes, demos and YRMW video in 4K. It's very very important!

Secondly, they must release some singles from Invincible 25th, either it will be remixes or old songs, I don't care, we need more singles from Invincible.

Thirdly, they must fix Privacy song and remove Slash mentioning! Song must be authentical!

Also they should release all video tapes from Invincible recording sessions! Darkchild have plenty of them!
 
After all the embarrassments the Estate has suffered so far, I now think it's more realistic that one of the Cascio songs will be released than that there will be even a single release commemorating an anniversary after the Bad era.
 
Let's think positive, I'd rather try and get nothing than not trying anything at all, that's why I wrote just put your ideas in here and don't discuss if it will be successful.

I’d like a stripped back version of Invincible. There’s a lot of the instrumentals buried deep in the mix. It has to be completely remixed and remastered. It’s too loud. It needs a lot more dynamic range and the compression needs to be removed. I blame the rushed mastering, and obviously the loudness wars of the time it was released. To have such a loud clunky album after the stunning mix and master of HIStory and the previous albums was quite jarring.

Yes. And maybe cut back on the auto tuning.

Here's where I am.

  • I will never buy another release of an existing album, because (1) I already own it, and (2) Sony will compress it so it sounds really really shit
  • I will never buy a new album of unreleased demos, because they have shown utter disrespect with the fake songs, so we will never know what's genuine
  • I will never buy a live album because I don't trust them not to auto-tune or overdub
  • I will never buy a greatest hits compilation because there's no point
  • I will never buy a dance remix album because all the newer ones are offensively unmusical.
So there we go.

I will never understand why people don't read the first post, because I would like to keep this thread as simple as possible, so that it's easy for me to summarise all the ideas for the petition after some weeks of collecting.

Again: please only post ideas, discuss in other threads, thank you 💐
 
I would like them to resurrect MJ for him to do a This Is It World Tour, where he will do meet and greets in every city. Then, they should fund him to record a 4 CD mega album every year, whilst releasing every unreleased song in the vault in a audio enhanced anthology set - completely free for all people who bought a tour ticket.

Then, they should get MJ to do a weekly podcast called Have A Talk With God, where he reveals his experiences and funny stories of his life.

They will resurrect the KOP Board and track down all the old members to sign up again. Including the ones about bacon, like Bacon Nature and Give In To Bacon.

Finally, they will pump millions into waging lawfare against everyone who has tried besmirching his name since 2009.


I think we have a reasonable shot of making it happen.

It's been more than 12 years since Wembley 16th, especially the high quality of APOM in Bad25 documentary. At that time, I just speechless about the quality.. Lets imagine what a full concert of that quality would be like.
I've been silently waiting for the day when a full concert on film format is released. I know that day is still far away, and maybe that day will not come, but will still continue to wait.
 
Since MJ filmed everything, I would love to see some behind the scenes footage of MJ creating his art, whether it's music or concerts or short films, or a combination of all 3. We saw glimpses of this in TII and it really was fascinating and refreshing to see MJ from that angle.

I want a petition that will get Sony and the Estate to make an official statement about the Cascio songs that they sold as real MJ songs.

Um... That was my idea. ie they should release nothing.

The estate is so bad and releases such poor products, that it would be better for MJ's reputation if they didn't release anything at all.

Just let the existing material speak for itself.
