I need help. I have never been to London and I want to go to the O2 to see the TII exhibition during my Winter vacation break which is the last two weeks in December.

I want to fly from Miami or Tampa non-stop (return can have 1 stop) and stay about 3-4 nights.

Any suggestions for safe, clean hotels near the O2? Will I be able to get tickets to the O2? Maybe the Thriller Live show?

Anyone use a website to book like cheaptickets.com or priceline.com? I found a deal for one person, $1500 US including flight with American Airlines and the Cavendish as the hotel. Don't know if this is good or not?

I don't want to mess my opportunity, help me please! Thank you!

There is a Holiday Inn about 10min walk from the o2. I only live two hours away from London so obviously I never need to stay overnight but I know people that have been there and they all say its a really nice hotel. Very clean and very safe. All you need to do is get to the o2 is follow the path, its the easy! The tube station is also at the o2 and its very easy access to central London. Tickets to the exhibition you can get on the day. With West End shows you can buy tickets on the day but its always better to get them in advance so you get better seats.

Here's a link to the hotel:

Hi - hope you have a great time.

I've posted a link for a website for hotels near the o2 although wherever you stay in Central London everywhere is within easy travelling distance on the tube.

This is a link for another thread posted here for Michael inspired things to do in London, hotels he stayed at, Harrods, Madame Tussauds and TKTS booth in Leicester Square where you can get discounted tickets for that days performance of Thriller Live - I think theres some underground maps in there too.
Enjoy yourself, if theres anything else you want to know PM me, I'd be happy to help.

Thanks for the info. The prices change so much from day to day. Trying to get the best deal on the flight which is the main expense.

What do you know about the Radisson Edwardian Grafton Hotel? Decent location for walking, tube nightlife?

That's near Oxford Street so smack bang in the middle of central London. Its right by Warren Street Tube station so everything there is in easy reach. To the o2 I'd say that would be about 25mins on the tube from there. The tube is ridiculously easy to use though so I wouldn't worry about that. What you'd do if you stayed there is get the Northern Line to Waterloo, then get the Jubilee Line to North Greenwich.

Thanks for your help. I think I have everything booked and unless one of these travel websites messed up. I am done!

Excited. Now I just need to find clothes. Wet? Cold? in late December.

Its England so you have to take an umbrella! Late December to be honest with you its not that cold but do take a coat obviously as it does get quite cold at night.

Wet and cold are standard here! Make sure you wrap up warm at night! And enjoy our wonderful city! Have fun and let us know how you get on!

Hello, I will PM you with my info. I will be staying at the Marriott Grosvenor House.

I want to do a Michael Jackson Pilgrimage of London, would love to meet up or find other places in London that Michael frequented or left his mark on. Great idea!

Thank you!

Hey two more days and I board a plane for London. Excited. I would love to meet up with MJ lovers. Where can I go dance to Michaels music!

Hope you enjoy it here! :D I would come along but I'm pretty busy most days during christmas and new year :( I live in West London so hoping on the tube is easy.

I am here having a great time. I am at a Starbucks near Grovensor and Oxford. Just popping in. I have been to see Wicked and went to the Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. One of the rides was playing Michael Jackson and I (plus several people) were dancing in the streets! Fun! Love it!
