How Are You Feeling Today?

Looking forward to the weekend because I am visiting my family - at the same time I am a little annoyed because we always have to go to typical Bavarian restaurants, basically my worst nightmare 😂. But think positive, think positive...

Lmaoooo! I remember from family restaurant visits when I was a child, my grandma would always apologize to the waiter for the "iconveniences" because I am a vegetarian. :ROFLMAO: 😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️

Have a wonderful weekend, though! :D

Thank you :D - well, it's fine if you like beer, a lot of meat and a menu written in Comic Sans. But I don't drink, I am a vegetarian and work in a graphic design job, so... painful it is 😂

Same, same 🫠 thank you 😁

Feeling goooood .... choir rehearsal weekend ahead 🥳
...and a wonderful weekend and a lot of fun rehearsing to you 😊

Legs are sore from doing squats yesterday, but I'm chill today. Ain't no negativity gettin' to me.
Light weight, baby 😅

I feel...a little desperate. Most of the time I avoid talking about Michael to other people, last weeks (including today) I made some attempts and there is aaaaalways something negative...

Today, my mom showed me a video of Chris Tucker, then I showed her the clip from Michael and Chris at Billboard Awards 2002. In my opinion he looks sooooo good there and is so adorable... "oh he already looked so awful here and he was so beautiful when he was younger blabla..." ...I just told her to stop it, I disagree, why does there aaalways have to be sth negative... "It's just my opinion, I am allowed to say that" ...please ...am I dumb/blind? Are all the others dumb/blind (I love my mom, so I don't want to call her that, but...anger 🫠)? Is it just a general well, everyone finds sth different attractive?

But for example, a friend of mine is a fan of Lewis Capaldi. He is not very attractive to me but I would NEVER say that when she is next to me. Please, tell me what you love about him, about his music, whatever...I am happy that he inspires you. I don't caaaare about how he looks, it's completely redundant and doesn't add anything to the conversation...gah...people...rant over, hope I can sleep now :cautious:

This is gonna be a long one. Please forgive me for typing too much. Also, excuse me for touching on a subject that may be triggering.

Since 2019, I've been dealing with some negative emotions due to the media hoopla of 'Leaving Neverland' (LN), due not only to the film and those who took part in it, but also how the media treated it as if it's irrefutable and flawless. Something told me to go to Twitter for more information. I don't know why, but I'm glad I went there before it lost its name...and what integrity it had, but I digress. I did, indeed, found a lot wrong with LN that many people discovered. And it helped to set my mind at ease a little, but it also made me frustrated, sore and saddened by how the media conducted themselves during that whole mess.

Still, I dealt with a several people on Twitter who were obsessive and even rabid guilters. They treated the film as the best thing to hit the media since 'Star Wars' and placed Robson and Safechuck on a pedestal But on the other hand, I had the pleasure of encountering a lot more people who were concerned with the truth, those who did the work journalists should have done. Yet, it saddens me how the media boxed those people in as "fans" who reject the supposed reality of a deceased celebrity assuming they were conspiracy theorists and validated their support of the two clowns by saying 'I believe victims" or 'I watched LN'.

I'm especially disappointed by outlets I once respected like the Guardian, Slate, Salon, etc. They all had writers that basically sided with what LN showed. To date, and as far as I know, not one writer - Stereo Williams, Charles Thomson and Jael Rucker are the exceptions - questioned the validity of the accusations or the content of the film.

If I'm mistaken, please let me know.

I dunno. I guess I was naïve in thinking that the media, particularly the news media, would be more thorough in their reporting. I thought they would do some investigative work into those accusations and the two fools who made them. I thought those guys would crack by now, or that something would give that would be way too significant for the media to ignore. But I was fooling myself...again.

As a black man, I also can't help but suspect a racial angle to it which makes it even more maddening. A black man is accused of a sex-based crime, and it is to be believed without question in America. Innocent black people have been lynched and black communities have been destroyed because of false accusations of sex-based crimes by white people. It's the kind of history people want wiped out of books to spare the fragile feelings of racists. In the case of Michael Jackson (MJ), they want him to be 'cancelled' and his fans be shamed for defending him.

All of this is aggravating. Right now, I'm putting my hopes in the documentaries supposedly worked on my Taj and Jin. I'm also hoping that Robson and Safechuck lose their upcoming civil trial. All in all, all I can do is hope, hope for the best and do what I can from my end, whatever it is.

Funny thing is, I'm not really a fan of MJ. I like his music and dances, but I can't help feel a little distressed. I was a little worried about LN 2, only a little. Yet, I'm troubled by this whole thing. Maybe it's because I'm empathetic; I feel how other people are feeling by this. I'm a little outraged that a dead black male is portrayed as a monster without any hesitation. But then, this is how the media operates. Black people, especially black men, are criminalized and demonized constantly no matter the economic status.

I dare not google news articles where MJ is mentioned or the subject. I'm afraid of seeing essays from writers praising LN2 or questioning why we don't cancel MJ, because I know it will be triggering for me, and right now my depression is at a 7 out of 10.

I guess I just have to keep praying and hoping. Until then, something's got to give! Something! Anything!

Thanks for reading. I'm sorry it's so long. I just had to get it out in the open.

Don't be sorry, sometimes you have to express your thoughts, I know that...yes, the world is unfair, it's a shame that people don't learn from mistakes and that black people, or races in general, are treated differently.

I can only tell you - in case some films/documentaries/whatever about Michael (or in general) make you feel bad, don't watch them...there is a lot of stuff I don't watch or songs I don't listen to, because I know it's not good for me. You and your mental health are always the most important thing!

Also, the media is most of the time not interested in the truth, but in what most people want to see and so they often twist stuff around and make things up.

I know it sounds cheesy, but maybe you have the possibility to spend some days in nature, go on some walks with friends, stay off social media. Be good to yourself and take care...hope you will feel better, soon☀️

Angry, because some animal bit through something in my car, now it is leaking...I am a vegetarian, leave me alone, be thankful 🥲
