Where were all the people when he was living?

I watched the memorial and it was great, but why did no one support him and praise him while he was here with us?

NOW, they all love Michael! NOW, you listen to his music in almost every car when you go down the road! Now, they say that he tried so much to save the world! Now, they say that he was the most wonderful and caring person! Now, they give him all the honour which he deserved when he was alive! Now, they are saying that they don´t believe the allegations! Now, they say that he brought all races together. I don´t know that makes me very very angry.

That is manipulation! If they did not praise him after his death (the media) the world would not say that he was such a good human-being and such a great entertainer.

I mean it´s good to say that he was a good person and so on, but that shows me that most people who did not support him when he was alive are really FAKE!

They just want to be cool when they hear his music and act like they are fans. I hate that! That makes me SICK! SIIIICKKKKK!!!!

Sorry, I had to let that out of my mind.

I totally know where you are coming from, and do you know what really angered me that half the people who got tickets to the momorial probably weren,t even fans,i flew from the uk to the u.s.a and was outside the staples centre the day of the momorial,i was told there that some people who went into the staples didn,t even know that a picture they seen of mj was him taken from the thriller era, whilst alot of his true fans were left outside, people selling there tickets on ebay to the momorial,it makes me really angry, don,t get me wrong some of mjs true fans were lucky enougth to get in,

I understand your anger guys. It will be easier to know in some time who's a fan and who's just showing up for sensationalism.
However maybe it's better... well I'm telling myself not to waste my time and energy with thinking of those not worth it... let's suport the fans who are here... those are the ppl worth it to me and somehow... well it's just easier for me to better be busy with something positive.

I understand your post and your anger, very well. Even on tv there are enormously positive shows/commentaries, and there haters and people cashing in, as well.

The other thing is, and this is positive. . .many people who were NOT fans are beginning to understand and appreciate him better now. Maybe now some are realizing what/who they have lost?

I have a friend who enjoyed Michael's music but was only familiar with the Off the Wall and Thriller albums, and a few days ago I played him a few later tracks including "Stranger in Moscow" and "History" -- and it feels really good to share and see someone become more compassionate and interested in this wonderful artist.

hi god bless mj
yeah ~i agree with you ...
janet jackson , her song from v rope . makes me
the song ~Don't it always seem to go

That you don't know what you've got ~ 'till it's (Gone)

rings so true ..

he knew who the true fans are .. he knew , :huggy:

when he died I knew this was going to happen - the sudden respect and compassion. it made me feel totally indifferent towards the world in general, towards people...we live in a selfish, cruel world and this is never ever going to change
Michael loved his children and his family and us his fans - that's what we should always remember the rest of the world means nothing
I'm sure if they would've shown him some mercy he would still be here today the stress is part of what lead to his death

Sadly, geniuses are mostly misunderstood and underappreciated in life... It's in death that people start to see their genius.

I understand how you're feeling. It all seems too little too late but there's nothing we can do about it now. We've always been there for Michael and that gives me great comfort.

I am only angered by hatred or prejudice :) but I understand your anger, too. I'm angry at anyone who doubted Michael while he was alive - but I don't necessarily connect that to what's happening after his death. I try and see love right now in this hard time.

We do have to remember that many people grew up with Michael's music, and may not have been very vocal about being fans or adoring Michael, may have had other priorities or activities. It doesn't make it less genuine, it only shows the incredible range of his talent and heart. I don't get angry until someone slams him, though.

Behold, the band wagon fans.
It's frustrating, but Michael knew who his real fans were. In a few months they'll have forgotten him, but we, all of us, will still be here. Love you more. xoxo
