Oh, to be a fly on the wall at the Jackson family compound. Joe Jackson is walking back comments he made to a British tabloid on Sunday that seemed to accuse his wife, Katherine, of not doing enough to prevent their son Michael's death.

"Katherine did not kill my son," he told PopEater on Monday. "She isn't at fault."

This change of rhetoric follows a News of the World article where the patriarch said his wife refused to help Michael when he was at his frailest, "because she was afraid she was invading his privacy."

He added that, after the King of Pop's tragic death, he admonished Katherine. "I said this would have never happened if you had went and been with him."

The comments have spurred a flurry of responses from Katherine's supporters.

"The world knows that Mrs. Jackson has always been a loving mother and grandmother, and that she and Michael had a very special relationship," her lawyer, Adam Streisand, told TMZ, adding, "The world also knows who Joe Jackson is and he seems bent on never letting us forget."

Howard Weitzman, a lawyer for the Jackson estate, called Joe Jackson's comments "preposterous."

Joe and Katherine Jackson married in 1949 and both currently reside, along with Michael's three children, at the family home in Encino.

This is what happens when News of the World, the king of tabloid trash and TMZ, their little sister get involved. The entire family needs to stay away from these rags and not give them any fodder. If they want to talk to anyone, talk to Ebony or Jet who won't try to sensationalize at their expense. People magazine, although they can be on the edge sometimes is also okay for the proper fact-checking most of the time.

joe says whatever gets him $$$$$$$$$... he used MJ as a kid to get $$$$$$ now he does it in death...
 
whatever....I have had it with Joe..and the rest of them...i am beyond disgusted with the Jackson's. May God Look over the MJ3
 
now that i know the real deal I don't have no love...My heart goes out to Mrs.Jackson and the kids may god bless them if only u all knew a damn same.

Why would they stay away from them? Ebony nor Jet will ante up so that leaves the tabloids! they have something to say, they expect to be payed for it.

BTW......Joe already put his foot in too far already, there's no backtracking on this one!

He has never EVER cared for Michael or his siblings........

He worships only one God and it's called by many names but the most common are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and ££££££££££££££££££ and €€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€
