June 25th 2025

I try not to "acknowledge" this day too much...I just go about my business and try to think about other things...otherwise it would be too hard
Same, focusing on other things. I participated in some projects, e.g. the roses for Michael because I feel it's nice to show the solidarity/connection between all of us.

The worlds been a dull place without his smiles, those soulful eyes, his sweet voice, his dynamic creativity, his electrifying presence and the radiating nature of a gentle and kind spirit. His absence left such a giant void that nothing can come close to filling it. I have no idea how someone I never knew or met can have this much impact in my life. I will never understand how the love and the memories of him still brighten my day like the sprinkle of pixie dust. The pain of today is great because the man was great ❤️

Today is bittersweet for me. Sweet, because I can look to Michael and his life with love and thankfulness. It gives me the energy to stay positive (or at least try :) ). I try to be friendly and helpful to everyone and also be more accepting of my own person(ality).

Michael often used very simple, yet very powerful images ... In his 1987 interview with Ebony Jet Magazine Michael said people should be like flowers, and grow into something beautiful. I love this so much 🌼

I am very glad we have this community ❤️ @Gaz

I didn't know until now, that June 25 is also celebrated as "World Vitiligo Day".
Iirc, the CEO of the vitiligo research organisation picked the day bc of Michael. Sort of a commemoration for Michael as well as raising awareness.

Anyway, today I need to see Michael's beautiful smile so ...

16 years ago today, the world lost more than an icon: we lost our brother. But we take comfort knowing he’s now with our father Joseph and our brother Tito in heaven. Michael’s light doesn't fade. It shines on in all of us: in the fans, in the music, and in the love we continue to share. He lives in our hearts, our voices, and our mission to carry his legacy forward every day.
We love you always, Mike.

16 years ago today, we said goodbye to my brother, Michael. It still feels like yesterday that the world gathered to honor his life, his music, and his incredible heart.
This photo brings me back to the early days — just two brothers, full of dreams, doing what we loved most: performing together.
Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. Your light, your laughter, your genius. Love you forever, Mike.

michael jackson passed on this day in 2009.
he was 50 years old.
you can remember where you first heard the news.
i have written and spoken about michael many times.
we were friends and i truly loved him.
today is not a time for recollections or anecdotes.
just a day to remember when the stars blinked twice and called him home.

This year, I had the opportunity to go to France and do cooking school for a week. When I applied and got accepted only then did I realize that it'd meant I'd have to miss out on my yearly trip to LA on June 25th. It broke my heart and I'm still sad about it obviously but I like to think that Michael would have wanted me to go to France and do the cooking school. So, even though I can't be there physically, I can be here digitally.

Michael, Applehead, M, Mike, Our Beloved, We miss you each and every moment of our lives and today is no exception. You've touched millions of hearts and still continue to do so. You inspire us to love one another, care for Earth, and best of all, taught us to be better human beings. And your music. Holy smokes don't get me started on your music! You're a freaking legend and I am proud to call myself a hard core Moonwalker. Even though I was born a year after you died and will never get the chance to see you in person, that does not confine my unconditional love for you. I've been a fan for 3 years now but it truly feels like I've known you for millennia. We fans hold you in our hearts and think of you every massing minute. With that, I love you Mikey and so does the rest of world.

PS: Have fun in heaven bro! it's probably better up there than down here to be honest
