So it's just weird that some fans of Michael have to be ungrateful because
were getting Wembley 1988,because of its quality and they claim that The Estate
won't restore it very well, due to the LQ snippet that came out on British TV
earlier this year. But yet we were petitioning for Wembley '88 concerts for seven
years before The Estate even came out with anything about the release of a Bad
Tour concert. It's just sad that people have the audacity to be so ungrateful about this
release and complain about the video/audio quality, when they could've honestly picked an even worse quality concert(in terms of vocals, performance, etc.) and still "wouldn't be good enough".
It's personally irritating because I feel like the only one who's truly excited were even getting
a Bad Tour concert officially released at all.And I also will never know why we opened a petition for L.A. 1989,because The Estate said that due to the storage facilities lack of record keeping (the tapes were stored at,either Michael's VHS copies or the tapes broadcast on the JumboTrons at the concert)and yet asking for an "HD/Bluray version" of a Bad Tour concert. But quite frankly,Bluray isn't all that it's cracked/hyped up to be,so why waste the money on the Bluray technology at all(plus a very small percentage of people who even own Blurays or a Bluray player). But I'm just fortunate that the Michael Jackson fan community will be able to get any Bad Tour concert on DVD,even to the people who attended a Bad Tour concert or even to the people who actually were at Wembley Stadium in July '88.

Sorry to make this thread ridiculously long, but I just had to put my two cents in on this whole situation.

I agree with a lot of what you say but people do have a right to express how they feel. Although I do think they should wait until it is released before judging. With regards to blu ray, it's hardly a small percentage that have it now. It has really taken off and has superseded DVD as the premium format. The quality is exceptional. There is no comparison between the incredible picture and sound quality of a blu ray compared to a DVD. Case in point: Moonwalker. It's like watching a different film. Plus blu ray can hold much more content so there is the potential for more bonus material.

WELL, HALLELUJAH.

Don't I agree, I always wonder why on Earth people get so technical about the whole Wembley quality. That's what we wanted, but now it's been dissected so much it kinda takes away the excitement when reading their posts...well no not really lol . But it does bother me, although it is a discussion forum it's quality shouldn't be criticized until it's fully released, don't like it then? don't buy. Thanks for posting, I am excited too so don't think you're the only one :dancin:

I think that some people have been spoiled with blu ray quality. I love it, don't get me wrong but i can handle something with a little lower quality. Not everything has to be in crystal clear HD for me to enjoy it

I don't even own a Blu Ray player lol. I still think a regular DVD quality would do in most cases, so I agree w/ the bolded part.

The L.A. Petition was started because the Estate stated that they have high quality tapes of other concerts, except for Wembley. The multitracks for the latter is the only reason why that venue was chosen. That's why we also would love to see. L.A. 1989. Hope that's cleared for you.

Bluray is a format which is a new way of watching movies as if you them for the first time. The quality is tremendous and puts a DVD to shame. It also is the number one format nowadays so I don't know where you get the information that there are a handful of Bluray owners. Most people replaced their conventional tv's for high end flat screens. On these kind of tv's you can clearly see how bad a DVD looks compared to a Bluray disc. You have to see it to believe it. Also a BD can carry super high quality audio, like the SACD and DVD audio formats. 24 bit/96 kHz. That's crystal clear, identical to the studio master. So when the BAD25 set arrives on CD and DVD, we will get compressed sound. A BD DISC would have played the concert in super high quality audio. You can compare the sound to IMAX theater quality.

A bad tour in bluray quality is like going to Disneyland.
