Media led comparisons are always unfair on the artist because they then have to live up to the billing (sound familiar?!).

^^^^Just goes to prove we MJ fans have our priorities straight...who cares about anything Bieber when we've learned there's possibly never before seen footage out there of Michael. I so hope it becomes available to us.

I like the biebs. He seems like a sweet kid and i find him extremely likeable. He's not in the same league as michael, no doubt. He's not even playing the same GAME. but he's cute and i support him ;)

i don't take any of the comparisons seriously. we all know the truth: michael can never be challenged. some people are just so big, so perfectly groundbreaking that they'll never be dethroned. MJ is clearly one of those legends. Justin is just harmless bubblegum pop. Very listenable, nice singer. But i mean come on, no one seriously believes it's anywhere close to mj. And if they do . . . i feel sorry for them.

Couldnt of said it better myself. I dont understand the bieber hate. i dont feel the least bit threatened by him and i dont understand why anyone cares about the comparisons. Its obvious bieber will never be mj even to a non mj fan so who cares. the kid loves mj. he's a fan. so he's one of us....now that rare footage however.......I MUST HAVE!!!!

i care about the comarisions, cause they always use this for PR. using the name michael jackson is a great tool to promote yourself. always. and they will always profit from this.
this stupid kid never avieched anything great. nothing. this kid is only a PR gag. and lives from comparisions to real artists. nothing else.
this bieber thing is only a stupid joke.
 
Rodney Jerkins says he went over seas and brough back all Mihcael's rehearsal footage. to me that means he had more than an hour maybe hours.

yes and US Michael's fans should see that footage BEFORE Justin sees it..I mean really now how old is this child like 17....I have been a fan longer than he has been alive. Thats makes me think of somthing else....Rodney says he bought the footage over seas...I wonder WHO owed it...and I wonder why its not in the estates hands?? Like why should Rodney have footage of MJ....can they sue him for the footage...or as long as he doesn't leak it then its ok for him to have it.??
 
Paris is a full-fledge belieber now lol (though not obsessed and crazy lol). She downloaded his entire new album on iTunes.

I don't hate Justin at all. If he really is a fan of Michael that is great too. Maybe his fans will look into Michael's music and become fans too. Call me a sensitive fan but I don't want to hear .....this peson is the next Michael. It just seems disrespectful and with June 25 around the corner I don't want to hear it anymore. Instead of who is the next Michael all I keep thinking is why people did not appreciate Michael when he was here.

As for unseen footage I agree with everyone I would love to see it too.
 
I'm absolutely tired of this young man. I see his name next to Michael's again and again. Well I understand that he's an idol for girls but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop it!!! JB's here, JB's over there, JB, JB, JB............... :doh:
 
I was watching part II of Justin Bieber's TV special (who has two TV specials in a row?). Why I, a 48 year old grown woman, was watching this I'm not sure. There just wasn't anything else on. It wasn't too bad. The kid seems sweet and wholesome with a good head on his shoulders. I just hope he stays that way and that fame and the music business doesn't negatively affect him down the road. Anyway, when they got to the part of his tour stop in NYC his people are trying to figure out a location where he can give a free concert, as the NYPD won't allow him to hold one in Times Square or any of the other boroughs for safety reasons. At one point Justin says "I want to play where Michael played". So the free concert is held at the Apollo Theatre.

I saw a photo of him somewhere where he was wearing a dark colored surgical mask just like Michael used to. How original.:smilerolleyes: I think he might be taking this just a little too far.
 
Thunder I too am wondering where overseas Rodney got this footage. Did he buy it, or someone made copies of it and gave it to him? Now Michael's rehearsals like his clothes, paintings, and concert footage are in other people's hands.

Something else I am curious about is whether Jenkins showed Bieber the footage to inspire him, or for Bieber to copy his singing style or movements? Well let's see what he learned from the greatest.
 
Rodney is just being nice to his client.

I never had an issue with Bieber and think it's great that he constantly makes references to Michael's greatness. However, his recent antics are a bit much. He sould know that there will never be a replacement for Mike. Only Michael can fill his own shoes. Nobody else can or will, and that goes for Bieber too. Time he accepted that.

Suzy in the tv specials does Bieber ever talk about how he sees himself in the future or what he expects to do artistically in the future?

One thing I am noticing lately... is that the media is not going to let him put himself on the same level as Michael. They are now comparing the ratings of this special you are referring to, to the high ratings that Michael got during his Primetime TV specials. If Justin B. wants to stay relevant very long, without appearing like a poser... he better come up with his own style... and QUICK.
 
i dont have anything against bieber himself but i do have to say that i dont like him copying michael...even people who arent fans like us admit that he was the biggest in many aspect...

As long as JB wants to compare himself to MJ he will always fall short. Mimicking MJ Poses, mask, snake, photos, playing same venues will never make Beiber as Great as Michael Jackson. People are going to grow weary of it. His is not inspired, he is just mimicking badly and it's become almost a form of mockery now. IMO..
