^^The problem I have with AEG is that even after the leaked e-mails, they did not have the decency to say something like, "at the time we thought his behavior was due to his own actions, but since we saw the evidence from the trial, we have come to realize that it was Muarry's doctoring that influenced his erratic behavior and we now apologize." Saying something like that would really send a good message, but no one ever things of helping Michael but us.

I just meant that if that they had concerns about Michael what they thought at that time was wrong. Nobody knew what Murray was doing and he wasn't making Michael well. I hope I am making sense. I don't think they would acknowledge they had the wrong opinion.

I agree with this. It doesn't make sense if they apologises before the KJ vs AEG case is over. We might hear more from individuals from AEG side after the case is over, and when they are able to speak without what ever they say being used against them.

I didn't think it was that bad, he staunchly defended mj against the allegations which is always the main thing with me. I think the confidentiality agreement related to whether he could release those audio tapes, nothing more - the notw wd have paid alot for them.

I just hated the way he talked about Michael. He was interviewed the very same day than Michael died and this is what put me off:
"Of course, there wasn't that much scandal then -- this was before the molestation charges, and before the massive skin-whitening, before the psychopathology really started to crank in there. This was still a 30 year old black kid when I was working with him. And the guy who just died looked kind of like a 60 year old white woman in garish lipstick. Kind of like the Joker. "


He really sounds like Rolling Stone writer. They don't mince or be careful with their words, addition to that they generally are lacking manners. That interview is not the only interview he gave during the years, they all are as bad as this one.
I'm surprised Michael was able to communicate with him as he is total arse hole.

Yes, that is what I believe to be true.
I don't know who leaked those tapes to NOTW, but I suspect this ghost writer himself did it after finding out that he cannot use anything from those tapes in his own book. Michael usually made his staff to sign airtight confidentiality agreements, so my money for the leak is on ghost writer.

I see your point but they said some nasty things in the email where they blamed Michael for his behavior. Saying Muarry was to blame for that would be goo because what the Jacksons are claiming AEG did was really caused by Muarry anyway. They could even say that Muarry caused these behaviors even if they did not say they apologize for the harsh comments. They did neither, but went on to say that they are not responsible for artists personal lives (which I agree with).

The ghost writer simple wants to be known out there, so like others he has to say something nasty about Michael to be heard. Anyway the parts Micahel said about his efforts/work was also said by the manager the J5 had. He commented how Michael would come to him to ask him to tell the boys to finish their play and come back to work.

It is pure ignorance. Vitiligo was confirmed in his autopsy report that was published months after his death, and this ghost writer gave his interview the same day as Michael died so I give him that, but he obviously missed Michael Oprah interview in which Michael talked about his illness.

to seal some of the families reply to aegs motions for sanctions against the family for keaking the emails

AEG had filed their motions under a conditional seal, in other words the leaked emails are under seal.

Katherine's lawyer filed their reply with the leaked emails as well as other emails without a seal. AEG has been opposing that and asking that everything to be kept under seal.

As of now KJ's lawyers filings aren't in the public system so that judge can hear the both sides and decide whether those will be under seal or not.

I will.. hopefully something will leak from it... I really want to know what questions were asked of him and his responses like his attack on MJ's house for the 'money' intervention.. Not to help his brother with alleged drug problems and emotional trauma but to ask for money. I really want to know his answer

AEG has lost their motion for the sanctions due to leaks. Judge thinks that there are conflicting expert reports due to the source of the leak and AEG has not been able to show a willful act and a high potential for damage. So the emails is still evidence and there won't be any monetary sanction.

Judge also approved the seal of the court documents that include the leaked emails.


As this event is now resolved, this thread will be merged with the already existing AEG trial thread.

This judge, I don't know. Isn't there a way to deal with the conflicting expert reports, especially when AEG mentions the format the documents were sent in and that Lloyd did not have these documents? The part about not showing a "wilful act," surely leaking documents that were not supposed to be leaked to show up the other side in a negative way can not be a good thing. Oh well I guess the judge is going by some legal meaning here. I agree with the part about not showing a high potential for damage, because all the e-mails show is that AEG is nasty, and they thought Michael's condition was caused by him. The e-mails do not show that AEG had something to do with Michael's death.

Now if the judge does nothing to those who leaked the e-mails, isn't the judge saying that the court can have something sealed, and if the parties do not adhere to it, it is Ok/there will be no consequence, because the court can't tell who did it?

Passy I agree with you about the estate saving some money. I guess we have to look at the good in this latest decision. However, it irritates me that the family is always making trouble and seem to get away with it all the time.

As far as I can see the judge wanted to see some more evidence and it was too circumstantial for the judge to make a ruling.

We didn't see KJ's experts - as there was a confidentiality and sealing issue. Apparently they challenged AEG's expert report saying that he omitted some stuff and argued that with the evidence that it can't be determined either way. Judge also says that it cannot be ruled out that some other people had some part in it - mainly focusing on Mann. So it's too circumstantial for the judge to make a ruling, conflicting reports and other possibilities (although far fetched some instances) makes it harder.

Judge also thinks that any jury issue can be solved with clear jury instructions.

^^ Yeah judge, but if Mann is involved doesn't the judge see that Mann had to get it from somewhere, and based on the format of these e-mails mann had to get them from a specific source. Oh well. I hope this alerts AEG that they need to give this judge some good evidence for the upcoming case.

I wonder if the Jackson's lawyers allowed this leak not only to shame AEG, but to test the reaction of the judge, so that they could see what they could get away with? Anyone thought of that?
