Agreed, one of the weakest MJ demos/songs to exist IMONot sure what MJ saw in Don't Be Messin to carry it through so many eras the way he did!

The fact that he wrote it/composed it mostlyNot sure what MJ saw in Don't Be Messin to carry it through so many eras the way he did!
In all fairness we haven't heard its supposedly finished version. Not sure what MJ saw in Don't Be Messin to carry it through so many eras the way he did!
It was Bruce Swedien who spoke highly of that song.I remember someone who worked on messin' saying that the more finished version is awesome. (Can't remember who, Matt Forger?)
I believe it was supposed to feature Nelson Mandela, but the project fell through do to certain controversies, at the time. Matt Forger was going to fly out to record Mandela, but the trip was called off, at the last minute. Pretty much sealed the fate of the track. Why Michael did not record faces
Good catch! It’s faint, but it’s there.
"Stop That" could be developed from Tomboy
At around the 0:55 mark there's a "hee hee" burried on the right audio channel - sounds much like MJ.
It does sound like "I betcha remember, I betcha remember".

Good spot mate. I can definitely hear that being a reworked demo from Mike, the thunderous back beat and the funk, that's pure Michael Jackson

Faces has one of the coolest, if not, the coolest rhythmic pattern in any MJ song. Man, how I wish Michael did something more about it.I believe it was supposed to feature Nelson Mandela, but the project fell through do to certain controversies, at the time. It has been written that the project fell through because of Nelson Mandela's advisors who advised him to cancel his planned speech on the 'Faces' song.I believe it was supposed to feature Nelson Mandela, but the project fell through do to certain controversies, at the time. Many unreleased song titles in a releasable state (in the post 'Invincible' album era) have been mentioned by his fans.So there is more releasable post Invincible songs? Assuming it was really recorded in 2007.
There were no Will.I.Am MJ tracks on those servers back then thoughIt has been written that the project fell through because of Nelson Mandela's advisors who advised him to cancel his planned speech on the 'Faces' song.
Which is odd, because that song was meant as a tribute song to Nelson Mandela.
Many unreleased song titles in a releasable state (in the post 'Invincible' album era) have been mentioned by his fans.
But it appears that not many of these songs actually exist in a complete or in a nearly complete state (vocally).
But note that according to press reports in 2012, the hack on Sony's web servers (that affected other artists, as well) affected also certain unreleased songs (apparently, in a releasable state) that Michael Jackson recorded in his final years.
For example, it was reported in 2012 that among these unreleased songs were also unreleased songs from the will.i.am sessions that were meant for inclusion on Michael Jackson's comeback album.
One of my favorites unreleased track , im imagining Michael performing Rap on it like Shout and Jam the beat saying that !Why Michael did not record faces
I respect that everyone has differing viewpoints on the matter. For me, personally, I don't condone the theft of the music, but Brad Buxer once said (paraphrasing) - "If it [leaked music] gets out - great. If it doesn't - great." This was on the MJCast, I believe. Morally, the stealing is wrong, but at the same time, these tracks - finished or not - are all we have in the way of "new" material from MJ. I believe for many fans, it's like grasping for anything that's left of a musical legend.People went from not sharing the tracks to deep conversations about it all... here, facebook, Twitter...I really don't get the mj community. Lmao folks mad & happy at the same time & we've gotten leaks for years. Every leak we ever had was stolen....we were never meant to see or hear alot from what we heard so.... im just smiling smh thinking this community is like a toxic relationship. U love em but you can't leave because they're family🤣

Was he talking about in an official capacity, or is he accepting that leaks happen? Cause that'd be two different contexts. He probably meant if it leaks out, though, right?Brad Buxer once said (paraphrasing) - "If it [leaked music] gets out - great. If it doesn't - great."
He was referring to unofficial recordings, specifically. I want to say that it was "Days In Gloucestershire" being referenced. Was he talking about in an official capacity, or is he accepting that leaks happen? Cause that'd be two different contexts. He probably meant if it leaks out, though, right?
Good find. This must be it. I believe he mentions Michael in the album notes, so this makes sense. Just wonder now if the MJ version has any vocals by him. I bet they must if we can hear the hee hee.

Would be cool, if we would have access to the songs multitracks. Perhaps everything from Tomboy (including MJ vocals) is present there. @nick2341: do you have access to the multitracks of "Stop That" (Zapp) by chance??Good find. This must be it. I believe he mentions Michael in the album notes, so this makes sense. Just wonder now if the MJ version has any vocals by him. I bet they must if we can hear the hee hee.
Also hear multiple "Owws" at the beginning.
CapEO sound pattern is present in the Zapp song.(Regarding Tomboy) "My notes say: synth drums, bass, guitar riff, very nice strings, similar sounds to Captain EO at times, similar instrumental melody line to “I bet you remember”
TYLA was revisited in 2008TYLA was recorded in 1986 and I don't think he revisted it, although I think there is a version of it with louder drums that steve/brad made.
DBMR was recorded in 1979 and reworked/re-recorded in 1982, 1986, 1990-91, 1993-95, and 2009
“Angel” doesn’t exist, nor does “Do You Love Me.” Those were rumors drummed up by Black and White magazine that, upon further investigation, turned out to be untrue.Do we have informations about the songs in the 1999 canceled album ?
There were Angel, The world is no church. And the others ?
