Hi Thanks for reading this.
Living as a fan of Michael in Korea has never been easy.
(well.. I once lived in California and l felt so happy that many of Americans
were proud of MJ and had some respects...)
Today, I hope as many fans as possible can help me...

Ministry of Health&Welfare is now dispatching brochures about
plastic surgery addiction to EVERY HIGHSCHOOL for teaching students
how dangerous it is.

Some fans were told in that brochures there would be Michael.

We called and e-mailed them and even some fans visited them but they haven't given any answers.

I'm afraid the brochures will be found in schools soon.. That's all we know.

I don't know what am I supposed to do.

The Ministry has an international web page.
http://english.mw.go.kr/front_eng/index.jsp
and you can make petitions here
http://www.epeople.go.kr/jsp/user/on/eng/FrnPcCvreqForm.jsp

Michael has been a part of my life for many years and been my role model many years. I don't want him to be mocked.
and what I most afraid is our teen fans.. sometimes they say they have had arguments with friends over Michael.
(as I have and I'm sure most of fans here have had an argument over him
to defend Michael)
I don't want them to be hurt again.

Michael is popular here (of course) and he is the one who has biggest fan base in my country from all singers from the U.S.
so I think it's natural people gossip about Michael
but making him as an addict officially is offensive and absurd.

Thanks again guys if you any suggestions don't hesitate to post

I think Michael should buy me lunch or dinner when we will meet in heaven someday

I cant relate. Most everyone i know in school isnt...for MJ. They just arent fans, and they dont see it like we do. MJ is my idol. He has done so much good, helped, and touched many people from all kinds of races. He shouldnt be portrayed in negitive light. He suffered enough. Besides weather you see 6 year old Mike, or 50 year old Mike. He's beautiful. Becuase Beauty isnt skin deep. It goes down to your infinte soul.

If the subject matter in reference to Michael's plastic surgeries are to discuss self esteem issues, learning to love yourself and not trying to live up to what society deems is beautiful, then Michael's experience would HELP. He DID have self esteem issues, even said so himself numerous times, saying he felt "ugly", was teased about his looks by some family members, etc. Transitioning from child star into an adult in the public eye was not easy for him, either. Also, the pictures don't lie: look at my avatar and a pic of him from the latter part of his life.

I don't think any less of Michael because he struggled with self esteem issues. The surgeries (other than the one that repaired damage to his nose in the late 70s-early 80s when it was broken), were a manifestation of it.

It is sad that he didn't see or believe how naturally beautiful he was like I (and many others) did.

You two , above me, made great comments. I see where you guys come from.

What really makes me mad is the brochure says "Michael bleached his skin."

and I'm sorry to hear your friends don't like MJ Billyjeanplxiv.
Don't forget we are here for you.

Mods, if this thread isn't appropriate, you can close or move this one.

Maybe I'm not looking in the right place, but nowhere does it say that Michael will be on the brochure. Is this just a rumour at this point, or is this information somewhere on the site that I missed?

It's happening not a rumor You cant see the information on their webpage. We heard Michael will be on from the officers who are in charge of.

Of course you're correct, but the fact is most people don't see it this way. For them it's a perfect opportunity to bash MJ which does no good. He doesn't deserve to be treated like crap especially now when he's not among us anymore. Also, I don't think it's a good idea to portray him as a person whose example shouldn't be followed even if it concerns such a trivial matter as his view on plastic surgery. He's a good role model after all. :)
