Uri Geler arranged the Martin Bashir interview knowing full well what Bashir was like. The trouble with Bashir was the cultural difference, people of that culture are notoriously judgmental and unsympathetic of the bohemian lifestyle byproducts of western culture, which doesn't exist where they come from. This was the situation with Princess Diana Spencer and even more so for Michael Jackson, I'll quote "but you're not Peter Pan, you're Michael Jackson", he literally didn't grasp the concept that someone could LIVE their life in metaphor. And that's a limitation of their culture, it just doesn't have that sophistication.
