Matt Fiddes Vows Legal Action To Prove He's Blanket's Dad [No Tabloid Links]

I can now see why Jackie Jackson and his son, Ziggy Jackson, walked out during the documentary that Tito Jackson did with Matt Fiddes. Every turn there was the Paps taking their picture and then crazy stories appeared in the rags in the UK. It became so obvious the real reason Matt was doing this, inviting the Jacksons over to the UK in the fall of 2008, and it wasn't friendship. Matt was working with the Paps and making money. This whole thing with the Paps was orchestrated by Matt, including the twenty bodyguards to protect the Jacksons. The whole thing was orchestrated by Matt Fiddes as a publicity stunt and now what, Matt thinks the Jacksons will need a bodyguard for their upcoming tour!!!

Channel 4's Jackson family documentary 'was fabricated'

Channel 4 faces court costs exceeding £1 million if it loses a libel trial in which it is alleged that journalists made up parts of a story about members of Michael Jackson's family planning to move to Devon.

The programme, called The Jacksons Are Coming, captured the lives of the family, including Michael's older brother Tito, as they spent five weeks in a rented house in Appledore, near Barnstaple. But according to documents presented to the High Court, elements of the programme were fabricated. Matt Fiddes, who featured in the documentary as the Jacksons' local guide, claims the programme wrongly stated he betrayedTito Jackson and the family by leaking stories about them to the media during their stay in 2008. Mr Fiddes, 30, a martial arts expert from Barnstaple and a former bodyguard to Michael Jackson, claims he and Tito Jackson contrived a publicity stunt pretending that the family were moving to Appledore. He then helped broker a £20,000 deal for Studio Lambert, a production company, to cover the move.

Mr Fiddes said that Tito Jackson was in a "poor financial position" and actually wanted the money to secure a deposit on a London home from which to relaunch his career. But he is suing Channel 4, Studio Lambert and narrator Jane Preston, claiming that the whole programme "was from start to finish a gross misrepresentation or distortion of the true facts as they occurred". Court papers claim that litigation for proceedings including the trial, set to being in June, could "cost well in excess of £1 million". A spokesman for Studio Lambert said: "Channel 4, Studio Lambert, and the producer Jane Preston completely refute these false allegations and are confident that they can demonstrate the honesty and truthfulness of this documentary."

Notice how his latest story has pieces from Frank's book, Schumelly's book, statements by Weisner, and statements from the media which he has intertwined and added to. Notice the article suggest that this guy worked a lot with Michael. Fiddes knows nothing that happened in Neverland and in Michael's life, and this is getting quite ugly now!!
 
I guess he did a lot of googling since last weekend as all those stories he claiming are old tabloid stories and gossip that go back years/decades.. like i read on another board. no wonder the national enquirer refused his stories as most of them originated in the enquirer years ago lol

Well I guess I have to get my Fiddes voodoo doll ready. I will take a trip to a voodoo priest and bring the doll with me. I guess a picture of Fiddes will help.

I can't believe he is being paid for these made-up stories that are already in tabloid print. Now we have 2 men in competition to see who could say the worst stories about Michael--One says he is gay and the other says he is not, and here we go again.

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth shall speak. Matt wants to embarrass Michael's legacy with a plethora of information. The only problem is Matt's relationship is really only with Tito Jackson and Jermaine Jackson, in 2007 and 2008, which ended in a lawsuit with a television station. A man who claimed to be MICHAEL JACKSON's former bodyguard has dropped a lawsuit against TV bosses over a 2008 documentary about the famous family - just a day before the case was due to go to trial. Martial arts expert Matt Fiddes, who appeared alongside the singing siblings in the programme, subsequently filed a lawsuit against bosses at TV network Channel 4, claiming several scenes in the show were staged. The lawsuit, which also targeted production company Studio Lambert, and the programme's narrator, Jane Preston, further alleged the documentary falsely implied Fiddes had betrayed Tito Jackson by leaking stories to the press. The case was due to be heard at London's High Court on Tuesday (22Jun10), but Fiddes has now dropped his legal action after acknowledging "the programme was not faked". Channel 4 boss Julian Bellamy has confirmed Fiddes will not receive any money for damages or legal costs, and the TV network will not be issuing an apology. Michael Jackson's mother Katherine, has also issued a statement, insisting Fiddes was no pal of her late son. The statement reads, "Fiddes, who said he was a friend, let us down badly. He tried to use us to his own advantage, and when things didn't go his way, he behaved badly.
"Fiddes tried to pretend that he was a close friend of my son Michael, but when I spoke to Michael about him, he could not remember who he was. The whole family was deeply upset by interviews he gave shortly after Michael's death which no friend would have done. "You have to stand up to people like this."

I did not expected to see this day when TMZ calls Matt F stories insane, Perez H calls him famew...e and take his bs with giant grain of salt and now rabbi is calling out Matt's rubbish (although most of the post is about himself).

The Revolting Lie That Michael Jackson Was a Nazi Sympathizer

All a man has in this world is his good name. The book of Ecclesiastes says that a good name is better than fine oil. Our reputations determine what others think of our character. We have a right, therefore, to defend our name against scurrilous and slanderous attack. When those we know cannot defend themselves, we must stand up and speak out on their behalf.

I generally try to avoid the gossip that is so often said and writing about Michael Jackson. Libraries of nonsense have been written about him, and now that he is tragically no longer alive, he cannot defend himself. In general I see no point in highlighting slanderous material about him by responding to it.

But several headlines recently caught my attention when I heard that a man who claims to have worked as Michael's bodyguard made the incredulous charge that Michael was a Nazi sympathizer. This kind of viciousness should usually not be responded to because it just gives it more credibility for the retelling. But the slander against Michael's name in this instance is so great that it deserves to be rebutted.

As is well known, I was Michael's Rabbi for two years. During that time, we discussed every subject under the sun. A great deal of it was captured in the conversations we recorded specifically for publication in the books that became The Michael Jackson Tapes and its follow up, Honoring the Child Spirit. In one of those conversations, Michael spoke of Hitler's mesmerizing oratorical skills. He said that oratory is in many ways one of the most effective tools that evil uses to manipulate others and thereby gain power. Michael argued that Hitler used many of the same techniques that showbiz performers use today in order to manipulate audiences and steer them toward evil deed. I was disheartened when the book was first published to see some newspapers highlight these comments of Michael completely out of context and misrepresent him as someone who could have admired Hitler. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Michael detested and despised anyone who would do harm to another human being, especially the Nazis who gassed six million Jews, one and a half million of whom were children. Michael loathed everything Hitler stood for. As I have consistently stated, Michael was a great friend of the Jewish people. He celebrated his relationship with the Jewish community and never shied from demonstrating how much he learned from Judaism through our conversations and friendship.

In one of our first meetings I gave him a mezuzah as a gift, which consists of a small scroll from the Torah that is affixed to the doorpost. I did not give it to him with the intention that he put it on his door as his was not a Jewish home. Nevertheless, Michael insisted that we put it on the front door of his rented home in Manhattan. A few weeks later he came with me to the Carlebach Synagogue in Manhattan one of the happiest days of the Jewish calendar, Shemini Atzeret, and told me later, as part of The Michael Jackson Tapes, that it was the happiest night of his life.

As the boy superstar of the Jackson 5, Michael had a Jewish tutor who traveled with him and helped to raise him whose name was Rose Fine. Michael spoke of her in The Michael Jackson Tapes with great affection and revealed to me that he and Janet covered many of his former tutor's expenses as she aged. In one of the conversations he says that as the group's plane landed in Germany, Mrs. Fine became agitated. Michael asked her why and she shared with him the horrors of the Holocaust. He was just a boy and it was the first time he had heard of the wholesale slaughter or Europe's Jews.

Later, I would take Michael to meet and converse with my dear friend, Nobel Peace Laureate Elie Wiesel -- arguably the greatest living Jewish personality -- who further shared with him the horrors of the Holocaust and the importance of reconciliation and love. Prof. Wiesel showed Michael boundless acceptance and affection, which Michael warmly reciprocated.

Michael's strong feelings for the Jewish community meant he was even prepared to suffer professionally for his love of Israel and the Jewish people. It is well-known that in 1993 Michael went to Israel on his Dangerous Tour where he performed for 160,000 fans in Tel Aviv. My dear friend Frank Cascio, later to become Michael's manager, accompanied him and he told me how much Michael loved being in the holy land. Less well known, however, is the following story.

In late 2000, a Jewish philanthropist called me and told me that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was coming to his home that night for a reception. He said it would be good for Israel if Michael would come there and meet with the prime minister. I turned to Michael, in the presence of some of his professional staff, and asked him if he would like to meet the Israeli prime minister. Michael immediately jumped at the opportunity and told me he would love to do so. However, the people who surrounded him at the time mentioned that it might not be a good idea. They said that Sharon was hated in many parts of world, especially in Arab nations. A photograph of Michael with Ariel Sharon could spark a significant backlash including a boycott of Michael's albums and music. Michael immediately dismissed their concerns and said that he felt very excited to meet the prime minister. A few minutes later we embarked in Michael's van and crossed town to the meeting. The pictures of Michael greeting Prime Minister Sharon, along with me and our dear mutual friend Uri Geller, appeared throughout the world. Michael's professional staff were correct. The very next day websites called for a boycott of Michael's music saying that he supported Israel's "hated" leader. However, Michael did not care. Michael loved Israel and the Jewish people and he was thrilled to meet someone of Prime Minister Sharon's stature.

Above everything else in our relationship, Michael was immensely sensitive to my family's Jewish observance and did everything to respect it at all times. When we would visit him at his homes and hotel suites, he would always order kosher food from local restaurants for us. He developed a taste for the cuisine of some well-known kosher restaurants and would often go there on his own after getting to know the restaurant through me.

The speech I composed for him, based on our conversations, that was delivered at the Oxford Union in March, 2001 -- one of his crowning achievements where he received a standing ovation and which, unfortunately, has yet to be released by his estate -- was filled with Jewish references and wisdom. Michael told me to leave it all in. As a Jehovah's Witness he felt an immediate kinship and bond with the Jewish people and their teachings.

Michael was an African-American male who told me that he and his family had experienced a great deal of discrimination in their lives. Surely it is adding insult to injury to accuse Michael of a racism that was never expressed through his actions and never felt in his heart.

Bubs thanks for the story from the Rabbi, but to me after he disclosed his tapes and the papers and newscasters began saying Michael was a Nazi sympathizer, he needed to refute that story adamantly. The same way he went on the tv shows to promote his book, he should have gone back with the same zeal when people began misquoting his book. However, better late than never.

Next, he mentions some close friends who also did some harmful things to Michael as well, so it is ironic to have them mentioned in a story in which he tries to clear Michael's name. Also, Michael id dead now, but I do not believe that the rabbi wrote the whole speech for Michael. I am not doubting that he may have suggested certain things. However, Michael is not here to say otherwise, and I doubt Michael had no input in a speech that dealt with his hopes, expectations, feelings, etc.

Today I had to give credit to Randy and the Rabbi, so miracles can happen!!!

Take a look at these examples Ive listed down below of celebrities that have filed defamation lawsuits against newspapers etc. Ive also listed what reason they've sued for and not trying to downplay other peoples reasons to sue, but if these people can sue based on what was written about them and actually WIN and get an apology then I dont see why the Estate/the family can't sue. Enough IS enough. Michael have been called every possible name under the sun when he was alive and his name is still being hijacked and abused. It's time that someone at least tries to fight for him. If its too hard to prove there lies a malice, a defamation lawsuit will send out a strong message!! Im so sick of hearing and reading all this crap about him.

Like I said, take a look at the list below and try to compare their stories with Michaels. To be called a criminal, a freak, gay, drug addict, broke etc is IMO a legit lawsuit for defamation.

Lisa Marie Presley sued Daily Mail for their constant articles about her weight and that she looked unhealthy. She won her case.

Courtney Love has been sued TWICE by her lawyers for alleged defamation on twitter.

Britney Spears producer sued The Bellamy Brothers for publicly claiming a song he produced is a rip-off. The producer claimed the Brothers' attack was "a publicity stunt aimed to increase their record sales ... and to combat their dwindling relevance. In addition to damages for defamation the producer wants a court order stating once and for all Britney's song has nothing to do with the BB's song. "

David Schwimmer once won a defamation suit against a fund-raiser. The organization told National Enquirer that he demanded two Rolex watches in exchange for his attendance at a charity event.

Ashley Olsen sued National Enquirer for defamation. They claimed she was into drugs.

Kim Kardashian was sued for defamation based on two comments she made on twitter about a company.

Cameron Diaz sued The National Enquirer for more than $10 million when they published an article saying she cheated on Justin Timberlake.

Kate Hudson also sued the National Enquirer after an article was published saying she was too thin.

Even Debbie Rowe also succesfully sued her "friend" for defamation when she told reporters Debbie was never interested in the kids, just their money.

Paris Hilton once settled a defamation lawsuit against her. She had spread lies about another female to various media.
 
Vici thanks for the information. Additionally, when the stars sue successfully, future lies about them from the same newspaper dwindles. However, they know that Michael mainly ignored them, so the attacks continued.

The dead cant sue for defamation. We been over that before, but if anyone else is defamed in a story they may be able to sue.

Can a dead person be defamed?

Bubs I am glad you notice that too. Some of us understand the rabbi very well indeed. Next, hopefully someone with integrity and who is greatly loved will publicly support Michael and speak the truth.

I guess his last lies to the tabloids paid for his trip to Africa. About the sun article, why use someone's innocent child to make money. It amazes me how minors are used.

I'm not sure if fiddes is with some new pr guy, but he seems to be desperately stepping up his public profile. He's gotten engaged to his south african popstar girlfirend (who by sheer chance happens to be another client of this pr guy) and they have managed to get a tv reality show (if the pr guy can be believed). The popstar is going to record a tribute to mj with some 'top record producers', and they are going to be married at the end of the year with alex reid (ex husband of katie price and another client of this pr guy) being best man so that's a double page spread in ok sorted.

I'm afraid all this f**kery with fiddes will just rumble on, with his mj stories getting more ridicuous, as this is his only 'calling card' with the media. It's a real dilemma to know what to do with people like him, ignore and treat with the contempt he deserves, or do they just see that as carte blanche to continue. It is hugely offensive to me that a neanderthal like fiddes can get away with calling himself a 'confidante' of mj's and making up all these stories and i actually think now that someone like mrs j should release a statement. You don't see this happening with other celebs, so i'm sick of it happening iwth mj.
