They're appealing the probate ruling? We haven't even moved on to the civil case, yet. This is going to drag on and on and on too.
 
Civil case is tied to the probate motion. Which means for executors a win at probate case means win at civil case. For El-Amin etc a win at probate case means a chance at civil case. So it is quite expected that they would appeal judge's decision. Now what is more interesting is that Estate has a counter appeal too. Not sure what that's all about.
