"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

Man those Will I am tracks , those beats in the Ireland session were epic . I remember being so hyped up about that access Hollywood special.

shame the song sucks . I’d like to think that If MJ had used this song himself it would have been much better.

and while I’m on the subject , anyone remember this?

I really enjoyed Rocket Man because it was not your average biopic - and Elton had the tunes to back up the tone it went for. I haven't seen the Dylan one, I really tend to avoid them but I just haven't had the chance too watch that or the Bruce one yet. I really have to be in the mood.

Walk The Line was great, and I loved Control (Ian Curtis). The Bob Marley one was chronic.
Yeah, I hear you. I feel like I have to be in the mood for biopics in general and not just musical biopics. The last one I saw was Elvis I believe. I’ve been meaning to watch rocket man but have never gotten around to it.

Funnily enough I really like it xd Thanks for posting it. Haven't heard it in quite a while.

Have you all not stopped thinking about that teaser? I’ve watched it a ridiculous amount of times now and think I’ve also watched every reaction video possible 😂

I can’t get enough, it seems to get better the more I watch it and I’m now used to seeing Jaafar as MJ.
Me too! I've watched the trailer countless times and reaction videos too. I'm obsessed lol.

I really hope the movie is good and does well.

I am honestly suprised by all the interest in the biopic!

I am one hundred percent sure that Michael's movie will smash Avatar. And in terms of box office, it will be number one by a wide margin.

@kelley

Can you back up your comments please..? I might be wrong but then at least show me why..

'You are right that his father instilled it, I think that he tried to justify it to himself later on by thinking he needed it to be famous.

In a 1987 note to himself Michael wrote:

'plus, a lot of blacks have been ugly to look at', 'you must be beautifully looking'
'I will change this NOW with the power of my songs and dance and looks and total reclusiveness and mystery world'

You took that quote out of context

Yes it's a quote..
But please correct me

Michael himself said that he talked like 'Mickey Mouse' at the time because he didn't want to grow up/was afraid to grow up (with Schmuley..?)

IMO Michael was so, so afraid to be not popular anymore by maturing and thereby losing the love of his public and risk of punishment by his dad that his whole adult life he tried to copy his youth: his voice, energy, beliefs, his interests, fun activities, furniture, hotel setting in bedroom, people around etc.

He did not. That's a lie.

Is it? I definitely heard it, so unless it was doctored with..

Similar:

'I did something that was bad.
I'm a natural tenor but I used to force my voice to go higher because I never wanted to grow up.
I always wanted to sound like a kid.

And when I won my Grammy Award for Thriller, if you listen to me speak, I sound like a kid."

*** Words reported by Shmuley Boteach in his book "Honoring the Child Spirit"

Imo it's the perfect time for a biopic right now. The controversy is gone and I feel like public interest in MJ has increased once again.
i mean, i appreciate the optimism but the controversy definitely isn't gone

It's not clear if The Wiz will be included, right? It's literally how Quincy and MJ first connected.

If they skip that part, I wonder how they'll introduce Q instead.
I'm pretty sure they will recreate this scene but replace Ray Charles with MJ and they'll probably meet in Disneyland or something.

as far as cameos go, I can totally see a small scene with Rami Malek as Freddie and the infamous Another One Bites the Dust story, they love to put stuff like this in biopics.
