"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

Man those Will I am tracks , those beats in the Ireland session were epic . I remember being so hyped up about that access Hollywood special.


shame the song sucks . I’d like to think that If MJ had used this song himself it would have been much better.

and while I’m on the subject , anyone remember this?

Walk The Line was great, and I loved Control (Ian Curtis). The Bob Marley one was chronic.

Yeah, I hear you. I feel like I have to be in the mood for biopics in general and not just musical biopics. The last one I saw was Elvis I believe. I’ve been meaning to watch rocket man but have never gotten around to it.

Funnily enough I really like it xd Thanks for posting it. Haven't heard it in quite a while.

Me too! I've watched the trailer countless times and reaction videos too. I'm obsessed lol.

I really hope the movie is good and does well.

I am honestly suprised by all the interest in the biopic!

Michael himself said that he talked like 'Mickey Mouse' at the time because he didn't want to grow up/was afraid to grow up (with Schmuley..?)

IMO Michael was so, so afraid to be not popular anymore by maturing and thereby losing the love of his public and risk of punishment by his dad that his whole adult life he tried to copy his youth: his voice, energy, beliefs, his interests, fun activities, furniture, hotel setting in bedroom, people around etc.

I'm pretty sure they will recreate this scene but replace Ray Charles with MJ and they'll probably meet in Disneyland or something.
 
I loved the mixing of music/editing work of the teaser, it was my favorite part. but besides the recreation of concerts and music videos we have seen extremely little. i know they are still working on the movie but i hope we are able to see something more substantial earlier than january/february
 
Yeah, the mixture of different songs in the teaser was very well done.

Prob my favourite shot of the teaser , that victory tour stuff looked so authentic and could have been lifted from the 1984 tour just in 4k quality.

Of all the possibilities for unreleased songs that we know of, I would think Hot Street for a "new" single. I could see it being viral on Tik Tok as well.

Hot street is ok but for a single? I would hope there is something better/newer than that. I would only consider Hot Street as an outtake. After a couple listens it’s meh. They should release the best song they have left. No sense holding back.
 
Not to nitpick(again), but here a couple of anachronisms...since all we have is about a minute of footage to dissect! 😌

1. 'King of Pop' poster - Michael wasn't referred to as The King of Pop until after The BWT(similar to Ed Asner's character reacting to JFK's assassination by saying "Camelot in smithereens" - when JFK's Presidency wasn't known as "Camelot" until many months later.

2. 'Heal the World' poster - pretty self-explanatory
