"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

My Exclusive Report says: The film will replace all drumming by Jonathan Moffet with newly recorded drumming by Miles Teller, with co assistance from J.K. Simmons.

The film will also forgo the original versions of the Thriller songs whenever possible, instead opting to use the Thriller 25 Anniversary Edition Remixes of Billie Jean, Beat It, P.Y.T, The Girl Is Mine, and Wanna Be Startin' Somethin with all original composers returning. Thank you Kanye.
So nothing from T40? :(

Childhood is MJs story. I don't see how that doesn't work here.
It could see it work at the end credits but he never performed the song live nor did it have a famous video (like Thriller, Beat It etc.) so it would go on top of existing dialogue, playing in the back..?
Another possibility is him singing the song while writing it, but that would be boring imo.
I dunno, maybe you are right, I don't really see it yet

Michael was the biggest superstar on the planet, that should be the focus of a Michael Jackson biopic
I disagree. The focus of the biopic should be to show Michael Jackson as a human being. People already know he was the biggest superstar on the planet.
You're both right actually, the biopic should be a perfect 50% biggest superstar on the planet, 50% Michael as a human being. Neither one of those aspects should be neglected and of course being the biggest superstar on the planet had a huge influence on who Michael was as a human being.

They could play the song in the background after Michael bought Neverland, while they are showing the building of Neverland and showing Michael just being a big kid playing with children and adults at Neverland, like during a water gun fight for example, which would require no dialogue.

It's montage music obviously.

The allegations were Evan Chandler's warts, not Michael's. Enjoying spending time with children is not a flaw, it's a weakness that makes you vulnerable to evil people, but not a "flaw".
Can't believe fans who take this line even after everything that happened to Michael. It's irrational, foolhardy in the extreme and dangerous. Michael literally took unrelated kids all around the world, broke up weak families cos he was rich. If these are not flaws, he certainly paid with his life for nothing.

I too can see Childhood playing at the end of the movie, maybe over close up drone footage of Neverland, starting with the gates, with montage footage of real MJ clips having fun in each area the drone footage captures. Think that would be a real tear jerking end. I think the closing clip should be a clip of MJ saying 'I love you' to a crowd of fans, maybe in a concert, laughing and smiling, and then maybe that image goes still like the last clip of This Is It. I know This Is It is a touchy subject with the fans, but that last clip of MJ in the still image felt very powerful.

No I also don't think Childhood would work in a montage tbh.. It's not a video clip but a movie: a song, sung by himself, over the footage would be too much imho. Then again, MJ was larger than life :)

Im an old man so i cant figure out how to post a photo, but have you guys seen the pic of Nia Long and the actresses playing Toya and Jan? Wow! They all look great!

Did you mean this one? Is it legit? Is it photoshopped? I have no idea. I haven't seen any announcement or confirmation that Halle Bailey is playing Janet (plus she denied it last year but I guess that could just be PR stuff).

It's photoshopped, whoever did this used a few pictures from a single photoshoot LaToya, Katherine, and Janet did together.. Base of the bodies from one, Latoya's facial position from another, and so on. It's pretty good work though.

Thank you.

I figured it must be photoshop but I never look at photos of LaToya and hardly ever look at Janet so I couldn't see where the join was. Imo, there's no way they'd do this without making a legit announcement about whoever was gonna play Janet not to mention the actress herself would put it on her social media and I couldn't see anything.

It's pretty good work though.
It really is. :D

Don't forget that report about needing more budget for CGI on Michael's nose and face. Just like in Michael's life, the biopic will get thousands of fake news because its MJ. It sells.
What we can do is wait for official announcements and statements. Hopefully something soon...
Why are people still believing blatant fake news about Michael exactly?

**** OFF

Seriously GTFO if you think this way. Go back to your cesspool on reddit and leave us alone.

This place is so annoying lol. Think there might have been an update and it's someone posting "Tuesday"
Yeah and its annoying how half the posts are about how annoying other posts are

Ooops 🤣
I think we all need to vent somehow...

So random but how the hell have I only noticed now that MJ is wearing a zip up under the famous white suit on the Thriller album cover 😳

I thought it was a cool silk shirt. I can’t believe I’ve never noticed this before.
