"Michael", a biopic about Michael Jackson, is officially happening.

Its a movie and that is what you do. But I'm pretty sure they did also film the performance many times in one take and then edit together the best parts. One thing I'm not sure about is the placement of those audience shots. The one during the moonwalk is too long. Also the edit right before moonwalk is a bit odd. He can be seen doing the same move twice. 6:35.

Jafaar does amazing job though.
I really do not like that audience shot right before the moonwalk, it’s like there’s a pause then we go to the audience shot then back to Jaafar and then he does the moonwalk , not a fan of the editing there.

Also, this is major nitpicking but Jaafar’s head moves a lot more like later Michael doing the moonwalk than the Motown25 performance.

I bet he will do the toe stand perfect too.

Can we at least use the right words? That's not a report. That's a speculative guess.

And again, that doesn't make it a better movie than something that made 49m.

Please, let's just ignore the fake stuff and wait until actual numbers are available.

Exactly. How can you make a movie about MJ and forget that one time when MJ actually made a movie??
How can you say this is fake stuff? We can see that you know nothing about how the box office works. This is called projections. When the movie releases, the final projections will be revealed.

We are here to discuss about the movie not to attack someone who's voicing his opinion.

Great interview from Jaafar , he 100% is a Jackson, I was getting major Jermaine vibes from him tho.

He’s a good looking guy, the fans will all love him after the film
He seems like a great guy for sure. Not sure what he will choose to do after this but by the looks of it he deserves to be a star.

That Billie Jean sequence on Jimmy Fallon looks atrociously more similar to the one from The Jacksons: An American Dream than to the real Motown 25 performance.

That said, Jaafar is clearly channeling extra Jackson-family vibes in his interviews. He is a Jackson, of course, so that demeanor is naturally there—but he seems to be leaning even more into Michael’s presence, which honestly baffles me. I actually see more of Michael in his interviews than in the trailers, despite all the costumes and prosthetics.

What if… for the fist time the estate had a Great strategy :

Release a basic compilation as a companion album for the movie

Use 2 or 3 New snippets of unreleased songs in the movie (goin’ to Rio during off the wall era - hot street/slapstick during thriller then Buffalo bill during bad for example)

Then, once the biopic is breaking records ariens the world, people knowing the unreleased snippets through the movie, announce a brand New album (with unreleased stuff from these 3 eras) with those 2 or 3 songs as a single and promote the album with clips by jaafar during 1 year until the first teaser for Michael 2 and do the same things but with unreleased stuff from dangerous until « remember what I told you (being the closing credit song and potentialité oscar winning song)

Ps : sorry for my english

That would be really nice!

Is this your first time ever discussing a big film prior to release? Because that's how it's coming across.
It is? Like, I'm nearly 50 years old, I've discussed films before.

Have I speculated on potential sales figures? No. If course not. It's dumb.

Can you go away?
The site literally provides you with a tool that does exactly what you want. Use it.

How can you say this is fake stuff?
As I said, that's not a report. One person guessed it will make 10 million, another person guessed it will make 87 trillion. They're both guesses and they're both pointless.

A month from now, we will know how much money it made. No point regurgitating this nonsense beforehand. They're just clickbait headlines from tabloids who make money by people reading their articles.

We can see that you know nothing about how the box office works
That's the point - this isn't about the box office. It's blind speculation. These people don't know how the film will do. Nobody knows.

We are here to discuss about the movie not to attack someone who's voicing his opinion.
It's not even opinion though. It's compulsively regurgitating the drivel from fake news sites who have hated Michael all along.

Jafaar might be, but I will never forget Jimmy Fallon's mockery of Michael on that MTV Millenial (non) award!
People have short memories. Everybody's getting carried away with hype and are desperate to click on anything with the word Michael in it.

Over 1 million views.
Like, do we really have to celebrate the views of an interview?! My ****** word.

That would be IT !!!
Great idea and strategy.

I fear that’s too out the box for this estate..

This one is a lot darker - more of Joe, there's a scene with the door closing.. I think there is more to this than what has been shown so far
This is what was missing in the earlier teasers, some drama! The dark emotional stuff is what makes people curious to see a movie to know what happened, so I'm glad they're finally showing more of that!
