That is a beautiful photo and yes it does inspire hope doesn't it?

I've always loved Oak Trees. So tall, strong and majestic. Looks they can withstand almost anything. Perhaps not unlike someone we know?

Three unusual trees; two of them might pose a climbing 'challenge'!
1. Rainbow Eucalyptus, Hawaii.
2. Socotra Dragon Blood tree, which exudes blood-red sap when cut
3. Wollemi pine, of which there are only about 100 mature trees in the wild, in the Blue mountains in Australia. Fossil trees of this species have been found which are 90 million years old.

From seed to dirt, a tree is a gift that lasts for lifetimes.
Wildlife need trees for food, resting and nesting, as well as cover from predators and bad weather.
And even when trees fall to the ground, they provide homes for a diversity of species, as well as nourishing the soil with nutrients that aid new plant growth.

^^^Poor darlin', he sure looks sad there. It's from December 1993, right? Probably one of the worst months of his life. It was brave of him to try and enjoy the celebrations and it was very sweet of Liz to do all of that for him.

No sense looking to past though. Here is something very cheerful, which always makes me smile, if a few months since I've discovered this can qualify as always :p It was a most pleasant surprise to stumble upon it on YouTube, Sananda's voice is truly a gift.

A nice, warm feeling in cold December won't hurt, right? After all, in the South it is summer right about now. Posting this I also remember how my friends up in the Arctic looove to spend their winter holidays under the Spanish sun.
