The Very Best Of The Jacksons drops 27-50 (Week 6)

Thanks Guy. Not all territories received the same "Best Of Jacksons" release. Here's the rundown...
In early March 2004, The Essential Jacksons was released only in the U.S. The album only charted on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart peaking at #99. Since this was the first U.S. release of the Jacksons' greatest hits, the dissappointing chart placement was a surprise to me, although in hindsight, I think low shipments, generic "Essential" series packaging, coupled with no promotion played a large role in the album being overlooked. Cover and tracklisting:
1. Enjoy Yourself (Extended Version)
2. Show You the Way to Go
3. Goin' Places
4. Find Me a Girl
5. Blame It on the Boogie
6. Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)
7. Lovely One
8. This Place Hotel
9. Can You Feel It
10. Walk Right Now
11. State of Shock (with Mick Jagger)
12. 2300 Jackson Street
13. Nothin (That Compares 2 U)
14. Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough (Live from the 1981 U. S. Tour)
On June 28, 2004, through a licensing agreement with Universal Music, Sony Music UK released the 32 song double disc The Very Best Of The Jacksons. Technically, the album should have been called The Very Best Of The Jackson 5, Michael Jackson and The Jacksons since the first disc comprised of Jackson Five tracks along with some of Michael's solo hits from the Motown era, while the second disc comprised of Jacksons hits from their tenure at Epic. Details aside, the album peaked at #7 on the UK Album Chart selling over 55,000 during its first week alone. This week, the album continues to chart in the Top 40 hanging on at #40 (Week 6).
*Note: This album was released under the title The Very Best Of The Jacksons and Jackson Five in Australia. As you already know, the album has achieved noteworthy success in that country peaking at #15 on the ARIA Album Chart and #3 on the ARIA Urban Album Chart.
Cover and tracklisting:
Disc: 1
1. I Want You Back
2. ABC
3. The Love You Save
4. I'll Be There
5. Mama's Pearl
6. Never Can Say Goodbye (Single Version)
7. Sugar Daddy (Single Version)
8. Dancing Machine (Single Version)
9. Lookin' Through The Windows
10. Doctor My Eyes
11. Ain't No Sunshine
12. Got To Be There (Single Version)
13. Rockin' Robin
14. Ben (Single Version)
15. One Day In Your Life
16. Farewell My Summer Love
Disc: 2
1. Can You Feel It (Single Edit)
2. Blame It On The Boogie
3. Enjoy Yourself
4. Show You The Way To go (Single Version)
5. Dreamer
6. Even Though You're Gone
7. Goin' Places
8. Torture
9. Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground) (Single Version)
10. Lovely One
11. This Place Hotel (aka Heart Break Hotel)
12. Walk Right Now (Single Version)
13. State Of Shock (with Mick Jagger)
14. 2300 Jackson Street
15. Nothin (That Compares 2 U) (Video)
16. Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough (Live from the 1981 U.S. Tour)
And finally, on July 20th, 2004, Motown/Universal Music released The Jacksons Story in the USA, featuring 20 selections spanning 1969-1982. Featuring seven #1 Pop smashes, the album collects material recorded by the Jackson 5, the Jacksons, Jermaine Jackson, and Michael Jackson. You'll notice that it was Universal and not Epic/Sony Music who released this album. Similarly, I believe some sort of licensing arrangement was arranged allowing them to do so. As already mentioned, the album has peaked at #74 thus far on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. Cover and tracklisting:
