they (monster paparazzi/media) portrays him as monster.. to me it's kinda like saying you say I'm a monster but you are the actual monster.

from what I heard - yep. I really do not care for the rest. soldier boy seems good enough catchy tune. I haven't heard burn 2nite

@jesta, i'm luckier than you. for me, burn tonight and soldier boy are gettin blurry.

the lyrics of burn tonight is cringe worthy... it's too in-your-face sex.... "i wanna taste your skin... play me like a toy." i know i sound a little hypocritical here. i'm not afraid of dirty talk, but when i listen to a song, i don't llike the vocalist to be too explicit. i want to be left some room for imagination...

Damn, I envy you ¬_¬ But I agree, that was the amazing quality of Michael as a songwriter: he was subtle. This is so in-your-face sex that it's pretty un-Michaelish. Unfortunately, Eddie's a better composer than he is a writer, but we all knew that.
 
In my opinion, Burn 2 Nite was worse than I expected. It was a complete joke to me, if it's Michael... he kinda lost me there.

At least the other ones sounded a bit more realistic.

To be fair, I think Eddie is not a horrible song-writer. He's not a genius like Michael, that's for sure. But, he's capable of writing some catchy tunes that people are fond of these days.

If Monster, Soldier Boy and Burn Tonight are sung by Chris Brown, or Usher, they may have hit potentials... Just sayin' :fear:
 
Yeah, today's mainstream success. Chris Brown? Usher? Come on, they completely lack originality(especially like Michael's) when you really think about it.

I'll agree with you that Monster isn't that bad, Soldier Boy is pretty decent, too.

Burn 2 Nite, I just can't stand that song, it makes the other Cascio songs even worse. But you're right I could also see that being a mainstream success in today's world of Kesha and Britney Spears dominating the charts with their brain-frying music.

Exactly what I meant! Do I think those songs can stand the test of time? No, I don't really. But, I can see how they can fit into today's music landscape.

And, again, Eddie Cascio is not entirely talentless. His production skill is not there yet. But, it seems he can definitely craft some catchy pop tune.
 
Apparently Burn 2Nite has leaked in full but was removed by Sony.
