Michael - The Great Album Debate

I believe Monster is 100% MJ. So id be fine with that at the shows. As for My Burn Tonight project...idk. its hard. And im sure it wont be exact.

Have you heard the mash-up of Let Me Let Go and Monster?

Which one? I know they sound the same. Id be happy to listen to it.

I really love that mix of "Let me let go & Monster" and the mix of "Keep your head up & Room 2 breath".

Best comparisons ever.... well, i should include the comparisons of snorts.

@Billiejeanplxiv,

Not sure if this is allowed, but at the bottom of the site from the link there's the comparison between 'Let me let go' from Jason and 'Monster'. The other one is magnificent too, btw.

No no, I didn't make them. I did make comparisons back then, but not these. There were much better ones later...

I don't think Teddy's problem is because he does not have MJ in the studio with him as he has repeatedly shown he can be successful and genius with out MJ. Maybe he is just getting older and not as in tune with what people want to hear???? I don't know, just a guess. :D

I also think very highly of Teddy Riley. He's someone Michael called a genius. It's just that his efforts in the recent release have me scratching my head. May be you are right. He's trying to produce something that people nowadays want to hear? And, I think that's the problem. It'll be better if he forgets about the current trend and fad.

Just heard the full song. The extra minute doesn't give any additional insight. There is a sax solo and repeat of chorus and some "let it burn" ad libs towards the end. Very generic. It sounds like a song from Ricky Martin in the late 1990's. What happened to Teddy Riley? How can this song be produced by the co-producer of Jam, RTT and Dangerous??? Like the other Cascio tracks, many vocal parts sound out of place. I really don't like the way the "ah ah ah's" are stacked. Michael didn't make those "ah ah ah" sound for no reason. His songs are like a tapestry that is intrigingly and tighly woven. To me, listening to a Michael Jackson song is like taking a journey with him. He takes me to places, gets me high and brings me back. There is no journey in Burn Tonight. I keep waiting for that climax. The song builds up to nowhere. Eddie Cascio is not talentless. He's able to write some catchy tunes. He's just not in the Michael Jackson league. Oh well... Teddy Riley seems like a much worse producer now without Michael there to push him.
I believe that Teddy did what he could with the Cascios tracks. He put sounds and Mj adlibs here and there, but he couldn't transform a Malachi's typical estructure song to a Masterpiece.I trully believe that some of the cascio's tracks were written by Jason and were not written by eddie. I think eddie and porte helped him with the songs but it is clear that songs like Burn2nite are Jason style, "mamacita 2.0"."Monster" it is "Let me let go 2.0", "Kyhu" it is a mix of "Room2 breath" and "Where the freedom has gone".I really want to know who wrote the old Jason songs. Kurtys?

@Arky, the ones on fakemichael.com Could you tell me where I could hear these?

Edit: I must check this thread about 40000 times a day!! lol :D

I actually don't know where the comparisons are now as they're always taken down...:blush: TPI has been banned now on this site...

Pentum? Help me out...

Pentum, thankyou!! That is crazy. The closeness is just..wow. I really am speechless. Who actually is James Porte? Is he JM?

You know what, guys? I'm not worried about the Cirque show. Know why? Because unlike the new album, the show is a live event. Lemme put it across like this:

Opening night. The crowd is going wild. All of a sudden, Monster starts playing, as it's part of the set list. Suddenly, the crowd starts booing. The next day, the creative team decides to can Monster from the set list. Then the second leg of the tour starts with a few additions and losses in the music. Monster has been replaced with another song rather than the show being one song shorter.

I think that's feasible... If they have put that in the permanent set list.

Can't believe those old comparisons STILL are there. Shocking, lol...

They obviously couldn't put their dirty hands on that site, otherwise the comparison clips would have been long time gone. I wish they were repleaced with the great TPIMaster's ones. They are still available on biratebay though.

Yeah, but they could maybe try bringing down the site? I don't know, these were the first comparisons along with, what I think was the FIRST, the vibrato comparison.

@dam, check your PM, Miss/Mr.

I finally heard Burn Tonight, and, if that is Michael, I think he was having a really bad day.

I still very confused about all of this. The Cascis we so close to Michael, that I can't believe that they would sell fake songs to Sony. But, on the other hand, there is just something wrong with these songs. If they are really Michael, I don't think hewould have wanted them released like this.

This song just pisses me off. It's so blatantly not Michael, to me, it's too much...

They need to be exposed, people need to know how they are abusing Michael's legacy, they're stomping all over it.

And people are eating it all up. It makes me really upset.

The Cirque du Soleil show is the best tribute for Michael I can imagine....I believe Michael would be honoured.

'Monster' doesn't belong in there..:boohoo:

Which is why audience reaction - if it is indeed in the set list (remember that they have 2 months to refine the list as they get to rehearsals) - will get them to take it out after the first night. I'm sure of it.

Yeah, eating it all up, because Michael's name is on it. A lot of them I believe don't think twice. It's frustrating.

They'll likely get too much reaction before they're done rehearsing. Hopefully.

Well, hopefully they're not completely oblivious to the controversy these songs have generated...So, if they were smart, they'd leave the Cascio songs out of the set list..Regardless of if they believe it's Michael or not...We can all agree, these songs should have never been released at all...

Then I hope the fans aren't being accused of sabotaging this beautiful tribute too.

If they're gonna play songs from the new album, then they have WAY better songs to choose, obviously..lol

ALL of the cascio tracks are clearly sung by the same impersonator. it's not like burn 2nite is uniquely un-michael: they're all not him. Burn 2nite just happens to be the worst attempt we've heard so far.

maybe we'll get lucky and they'll play "let me let go" and "mamacita" at the cirque show too!!! *dreams do come true*
