Michael - The Great Album Debate

You know, I am getting more and more warty about my pogos. Am I sure everything's ok? If I don't need herpes, I know a very good shrink, he teeted me :D

I'm not sure I want your shrink..I think I'll stick with my craziness :D

Why are they still hiding? How long are they going to try to hide? I mean Jason Malachi and Eddie Cascio.

When are they going to be forced to answer? I really want to hear them talk about it more than one minute.

I'm just listening to Bigger Man. It's the exact same voice. How can anyone dispute it? I'm sure if tracks like that and Let Me Go had been on the Michael album as opposed to being released as JM tracks, the believers would think they are Michael too.

I doubt we will ever hear from either of them again. They got what they wanted and they don't care.

Right.

I'm not a fan of these kinds of voices at all. If these songs weren't on the album, I never would have been interested in songs from Jason Malachi, even if there are good ones (to the ears of the listener, of course) amongst them. His voice isn't that special to me, but obviously a lot of people think it's Michael's (just reading the comments posted on the YT's) whilst there's a world of difference between them. Sigh, sigh, sigh.

That's why it was so easy for them to get away with this - the general public is the target audience...NOT the fans...If the fans were the target population, then the tracks would have been pulled as a result of the reaction of Breaking News. Then we receive a vague statement simply to placate us..And it worked for some. They knew the general public wouldn't notice and likely would think that the fans protesting the vocals are nuts and conspiracy-driven. As long as the album sold respectfully, then they can still make money in the future if they dare do this again. After all, they paid good money for the tracks. Also, FANS were fooled by Jason's voice back in 2007, so if they can fool fans and general public alike, then that's even better! Bonus points for the fact that Michael isn't here this time around to dispute that! I know believers have mentioned that they agree the vibrato is quite disturbing. No one has been able to find a genuine MJ song that features this same vibrato. Some people say it's not enough to convince them that it's not Michael's voice. Well, what would it take then? There is also different pronunciation, accent and style of singing, including snorts that are identical to Jason's snorts. Where are Michael's snorts? Has anyone ever heard him do that? I don't believe they'd leave them in there, if they put THAT much effort into the copy/pasted adlibs, copy/pasted word for word, breaths, grunts, and other various fabrications...Has anyone processed Michael's real vibrato to the point that it sounds like it does on the Cascio tracks? That would be interesting to hear...I'd expect it to sound like Michael's vibrato - but processed...I wouldn't expect it to sound EXACTLY like a known imposter's unprocessed vibrato. This is where I don't understand believers' point of view. Then again, do we even know what type of 'processing' was done on the Cascio tracks? Cuz that seems to be the resounding excuse as to why his voice sounds so different lol
I may have mentioned this before, but I've always believed that they were using the Cascio songs as a "test" to see if they can get away with it. That way, they can essentially have an unlimited number of songs for future albums - all they would need to do is go in the studio and make some more. Which is why despite the backlash they are still on the album.

This is what i wonder too. What's it gonna take? If Burn Tonight isn't enough to convince someone, nothing i say is gonna make any difference. Honestly, i don't believe there is a single michael jackson fan that has been following this for months, that is a big enough fan to post in this forum or a big enough fan to be intimately familiar with his voice believes that these songs are michael. I don't see how it's possible. the people who claim to be "believers" . . . i'm sorry, i just don't buy it. and i guess i don't have to. i just don't see how it's possible, deep down, to believe this. you can't.

this is really just bothering me to no end. i feel like it's my outlet for missing michael. he really is my hero. i love this man. and i'm obsessing over these tracks to an unhealthy degree. but it's because i feel so betrayed, so angry, so mortified that people continue to get away with this BS. like his life wasn't enough, they gotta screw with his legacy too. and i feel like at least i can have some kind of control or some kind of say on this issue, unlike some of the others (like the upcoming trial). But i just feel so voiceless in this too. like they can do whatever they effing want, while the people who actually CARE about him (i.e., us) are ignored, lied to, shoved in a corner. they act like we mean nothing--they just see us like this: $$$$ because we'll buy anything with mj's name on it. they're the worst kind of criminal.

screwing with one of the greatest men to ever live and his totally loyal, beautiful, strong fanbase? disgusting. we're so much better than they give us credit for. not only does michael deserve better than this--WE deserve better than this.

It's good to read posts like this. Thank you :)

I've 3 daughters, teens. And they love Michael (of course :D). I love it when I hear they put on a Michael song, and it's never a Cascio track.
It's good to know that in this case they listened to me for once, lol.

So, maybe I can't do anything directly, but this also helps in a way.

Out of curiosity, would you rather listen to the Cascio tracks or watch this?

First, I want to clarify some things.

Some people say the vocals in Burn Tonight are the same as Breaking News, but I don't think so. However, it does prove the same singer is on both tracks... and that's Mykyll Jacksennnn, LOL

It's all cuzza Mikol Jacksunnn-dah!

I'm trying to look to see if there's more cut and paste, such as Breaking News or Monster. The "you" from youkeeponbreakin or the "you" in why you stalkin. Before the comparison with Invincible, I thought it was Jason singing the whole ad-lib as he's pretty capable of it. (but it's the ONLY thing he actually gets close to MJ)

Second of all, although the goat vibrato cannot be replicated with melodyne, SNORTS can be amplified. I recorded myself singing Room 2 Breathe, and when I melodyned the vocal, there was a snort at "now everyday..."

Yes, I heard a clip of it... Ouch. Ouch. Ouch!!!!

It's horrifyingly obviously Jason Malachi to me, this one has more shaky vibrato than I've ever heard before and more creepy "ghostly-weak" vocals from Jason, far from anything Michael would ever sound, really.

ya i just did. is it even supposed to sound like mj? it's ridiculous.

By the way, how is the voice on burn tonight (or ready2win, for that matter) NOT the same as the voice on breaking news? it's definitely the same person. Breaking news is just more convincing (i guess? i don't really think it is . . .) b/c they actually put it on the cd, so they had to take the time to "michael it up" a little more. they're the same person.

on a side note: who WROTE these craptastic songs? I mean, honestly, i know music is a matter of taste, but ready2win is the most inane ridiculous song i've ever heard. god it's so bad. it makes "mmmbop" sound like beethoven's fifth in comparison.

if you still have some delusion this is mj, you just need to WAKE the F up. that's it. there's nothing more to say. the only way it could be more obvious it's not mj would be if the impostor singer was singing in like . . . latvian with a barry white voice and an english accent. it's INSANE and i don't get it.

'I believe I'm ready to win'....Where is the conviction in this sentence? I don't hear it, the way it's sung. Not only the way it's sung, but the whole melody of that sentence is just wrong for those lyrics. Where's the power? He might as wel could've sung 'Clearasil is good for your skin' or something...

Now, the way Michael sings 'It's all in your name'..THAT I believe.
