Michael - The Great Album Debate

I hope they mix the songs together to be a continuous mix like they did for the Beatles show and album.

Am i the only one who now yells out "AS A MATTER OF FACT" when listening to the first line of HIStory? "he got kicked in the back . . . "
I don't, and I'm a bit offended that you'd even bring this thought to my mind. Shame on you. :p I wouldn't want to ruin such a beautiful song by shouting out that blasphemy.

Is there actually anyone, having now heard all the tracks, that still believes these songs are genuine? It seems the believers have realised they were wrong. It will be interesting to see how Frank Cascio covers that time period in his book. I'm sure he will have lots of stories about Michael in the studio. Not.

NO! I say, 'he said that he needed that'....:D

I agree with Aniram...Shame on you!

But seriously, now I'm gonna think of that ...Thanks :(

@Stella I think you're forgetting about Korgnex , and KingMikeJ , and McNabb , and Pompous Git(Altho I think PG hasn't actually revealed their true beliefs, says it's irrelevant for some reason). Has Ivy changed her beliefs?

I remember when we were debating the three songs, some theories have been put forward by the believers trying to explain why the voice sounded so different. Among those theories were:

-pvc pipe
-Michael was sick
-recorded in the shower
-did it for fun etc.

Now that we hear the same voice on all 12 songs my question is:

-did he use the pvc pipe for each Cascio song?
-was he sick during all that period?
-did he record each song in the shower?
-did MJ do all 12 songs for fun?
etc...

Where are those theories now? Nobody is mentioning them any more.

You're missing one of my favourites:

- He's singing in a new style. :D

Well, there seem to be 3 things left:
He was 1) sick and did the songs for 2) fun, therefor the 3) MJ-Porte-Supervoice was introduced.
It was not so super though, so they had to paste single words from legacy records - even into the verses.
And even though they had a proper supervoice-"keep on breaking", they decided to sample an healthy-MJ-"keep" into the second and third occurence of the adlib.

Super! :)

Back in time some believers said that we couldn't judge all the songs as we hadn't heard the voice on all 12 songs. Well now that we have heard it, what is the theory? Nobody's speaking about the voice timbre any more, although the very voice timbre is quite different from Michael's.

Hey guys, I'm still convinced it's Michael on all tracks, and yes, even the horrible "Fall In Love" one. =)

Back in time it was said, some assistant put up the wrong BN-mix for streaming ...
And then there were the people that knew, in CD-Quality it is indeed possible to identify MJ as the main vocalist...

Back in time, when I was a kid, my father bought me a bicycle.

What is the convicing thing that makes you believe/hear Michael?
*crickets*, *pin drop*.....

@Ivo

Grapje Ivo, even in het Nederlands als je het niet erg vindt...

Zou ook graag willen weten WAT je zo overtuigt. Zijn het kleine details? Of een ander bepaald herkenningspunt voor jou?

I can't even listen to the songs without feeling guilty, like I'm doing Michael disrespect.

Like sometimes I'll want to listen to Breaking News or something but then I get upset and sad, it's really unfortunate.

Sometimes I've thought, "Maybe I should just pretend like it is Michael singing, he was probably supposed to sing these songs one day and never got around to it... they're probably not that evil..."

But I still can't get around it. They're fake and it's really upsetting.

KingMikeJ said he was going to give his opinion after hearing the new leaks. That was two weeks ago and he hasn't said anything. Pompous Git closed the discussion thread at MaxJax in a paddy when he realised he was wrong and McNabb was just a troll.

The irony is that Michael actually did record in that shower. Obviously not while he was physically having a shower. Look at the making of the Michael album documentary. Listen carefully to what Eddie says. He makes a major revealing slip up. He says (when showing the crew the shower) that this is where Michael recorded those BACKING VOCALS. He doesn't say those songs, or those lead vocals. Thing is, we know, according to the Thriller 25 credits, that Michael recorded those "additional backing vocals" for WBSS 2008. I believe that was a slip up on Eddie's part in that he inadvertently revealed exactly what Michael did record there.

^^ The thing is, the excuse of recording in the shower isn't ridiculous...But to use that to explain why the voice on the Cascio tracks sound exactly like Jason Malachi is ridiculous....Along with all the other tired-ass excuses as to why that voice sounds the way it does...Sorry, but I don't buy it for a second that those things will make him sound like an entirely different person....lol...

if Jason sings in the shower, will he sound like Michael? :D Btw, I'm here for everyone during this tough time :)

Hey guys, I'm still convinced it's Michael on all tracks, and yes, even the horrible "Fall In Love" one. =)

IMHO, Michael Jackson never had a horrible song. No, I'm not a delusional fan who see Michael as deity. Artistically, Michael Jackson was not able to create anything horrible. There just wasn't any mediocre bone in his body. The more I learn about Michael Jackson, the more I admire him as an artist - a true artist.

I just listened to Bruce Swedien's interview. God... the amount of passion and adulation that Bruce had in Michael. Everybody who ever worked with Michael said how professional and passionate Michael was about his arts. He's a true musician.

It's very difficult for me to accept that Michael Jackson, the all around musician, the professionist, the studio wizard, would create not one, but twelve forgettable tunes.

And, I'm curious. Not trying to put you on a spotlight. So you think some of the songs are horrible, but you are happy about them and accept them?

...lol...person different entirely an like sound him make will things those that second a for it buy don't I but, Sorry...does it way the sounds voice that why to as excuses ass-tired other the all with Along...ridiculous is Malachi Jason like exactly sound tracks Cascio the on voice the why explain to that use to But...ridiculous isn't shower the in recording of excuse the, is thing The ^^

????? I don't understand a word you're saying.

I know what im about to say doesnt help at all but anyway I need to say it.
When the album came out, I was one of the ones who thought monster and keep your head up was Michael. I still believe so, I think, but this new songs tell me its not him. So im agains myself, if I think Monster and Keep your head up is him, but I think the new ones do not have Michael on him... but it also leads me to think they were all sang by the same person?
Yea I'm a mess
