Michael - The Great Album Debate

^ Possibly threatened? I wouldn't be surprised if people were threatened in this.
 
I'm not sure if what I heard was it, but I saw someone posted a longer stream than I'd seen before of the song Black Widow on a MJ site that was 3 minutes and 2 seconds long. It was in the same quality as previous snippets and faded away at the end, repeating the chorus? It seemed full, but not entirely sure. Can't find the page with song times in this thread. It was not good, but it is possibly among better Cascio songs like was pretty much assumed.
 
I'm in no way saying I've heard any of these recent leaks.

But if I did, I'd say the songs comes off like a soulless and bland mix between terrible rip-offs of Michael's earlier work and a below average 90's boyband, and that the vocalist sounds like a bad impersonator with a sore throat trying his best to sound like Michael Jackson, only to fail miserably in every possible way, leaving behind a rotten and sour feeling of betrayal, exploitation and fraud.

I guess that description fits all the Cascio tracks, though.
 
Yeah I think Black Widow is over four minutes long and I didn't hear an opera section, so I haven't heard the full thing. It didn't seem like something I'd enjoy, though, and that never happens with me and Michael's music, so I know it isn't him. I do hear him a couple times in the snippets, but that's not enough.
 
Isn't it kind of creepy how these all sound finished and ready to be put on an album?

Monster, BN, KYHU, Stay & B2N pre-mixes have not been leaked in FULL, no. Only in 1-1.30 min versions. AIN pre-mix has been leaked a long time ago.
 
There was a mix of Monster that leaked around November 2010 that featured similar instruments to the work-in-progress recording and didn't have the rap. Maybe that's the WIP mix sped up?

no that's the TAK premix it's totally different. The beat for that one is very simple like "bouncin off the wall" lol it only has like bass and snare the bass doesn't double up or anything. The beat for the slow premix version has the same drumbeat as as the main verses. The final album version has more bass drum repeating.

AIN demo mix is leaked only in bad quality. Sounds like a ripoff of John Lennon's Imagine.

Out of the premixes, I'm most interested in listening to KYHU and Monster. Breaking News is interesting as well, how ironic those farting noises after the chorus *snort snort*
 
I don't listen to these songs at all anymore.

This is bound to come out at this point. Do believers really think that the public and musicians have stopped listening and paying attention to Michael Jackson? I sincerely believe the truth about these songs will come out now that they are basically out there and over the years people will look back on Michael and keep questioning things.
 
People may question things for years but it doesn't mean those who know what really happened will explain. Unfortunately.
 
I just think it's pretty inevitable that people with musical ears and influence will know Michael didn't sing leads on those twelve songs.
 
I don't think they will ever be seriously considered as part of his legacy. Even if you leave the vocals aside these songs just don't sound like his or done by his standards (even for a demo). It's still a shame that three of them got on his album.

Black Widow is not fading out, so you heard a wrong version or a demo
 
Yeah, right after I posted that I noticed that it was being posted all over soundcloud and so I heard one of those streams. And it sounds nothing like Michael and a day later I can only remember how the main beat went basically (because it was so simple) but nothing else about the song. Terrible.
 
Back in 2010 I talked to someone who was in communication with Michael in his last year, and they said they had heard an acapella of "Keep Your Head Up" from him (I don't know if it was live or on tape). This person also claimed they had heard "Breaking News", but it had sounded rather different than what was released. Some of the lyrics had been different. This person said Sony "butchered" the song.

So what I think might have happened was that Michael really did record these songs at Cascio's, but he didn't finish the job at the time (as it often happened with his work), and when Eddie turned in the songs, the vocals were incomplete. Then someone (Sony or whoever else) hired an impersonator under NDA to finish the job. Then they mixed Michael's parts of vocal with newly recorded parts from a sound-alike, chose 3 songs that sounded most convincing and put them on the album. And that started the whole debate. Stupid and reckless thing to do, but it's the only explanation I can find to fit all pieces together:
- Eddie insisting that MJ did record those songs
- Michael singing "Water, water" at TII
- "Breaking News" and "Monster" sounding like MJ in some places and not like MJ in other places
- Malachi coming forward, then claiming someone hacked his site (he was prob. threatened with legal action)
- Teddy Riley swinging from camp to camp
- someone claiming they heard the songs from Michael
- Frank hinting that there is a lot of conspiracy going on but saying there is MJ in those songs
etc.

I could have believed this theory if:

-there were no copy-pasted words inserted in the middle of sentences (the only ones that sound like MJ)
-there were no rip-offs from previous melodies
-there were written handnotes, demos, MJ mumbling or humming versions of the songs
-there was no that strange vibrato
-there was more power in falsetto
-the "t" was pronounced in the middle of the words
-the "-alk" was pronounced in a more standard way than as "-ock"
-there were no in many parts of the songs that akward "hmmaaAaAAAaaaaaAaammm"
-there were no overly exaggerated yelps and gulps
-the voice was not, actually, annoying because of its unusual timbre
-we saw the official complete thorough forensic analysis and the reasons indicating to believe that it is MJ and not an impostor
-Eddie answered some questions to clear things up
-JM answered some questions to clear things up
-there were some worktapes
etc.

So far, apart those songs, we have no single serious trace or indication that MJ was involved at all. Those 12 songs (or rather re-arranged rip-offs) suddenly came out of nowhere as if by magic. But it surely ain't no MJ's magic.

If they used an impostor even a little, of course they would want to cover that up and not answer any questions or clear up anything. It's obvious that vibrato is not Michael's in most places. But maybe they used some of his backing vocals for example...

Whatever, I don't know. It was just a theory.

Is this person you spoke with the guy claiming to have heard the Cascio songs being recorded from outside of the Cascio house? LOL, because I remember that dude talking publicly about it back in 10
