Anyone who continues to perpetuate that MJ was some type of addict, even if they believe it to be true, is no friend of his when all this talk completely distracts from the facts regarding everything Conrad Murray did to Michael which led to his death. Michael did not with hunched over with a needle in his arm, he did not die surrounded by bottles of booze, he did not die from liver failure or a massive infection--he died with almost all of his organs in perfect physical health, including the ones which would take the brunt of any substance abuse. If he had died in a car wreck things may be different--but he died from acute, from sudden drug poisoning which was done directly by Murray. Michael was not alone, hell, he almost certainly was not even conscious when all this happened. He was defenseless towards Murray's actions that morning. He was defenseless against Murray's complete disregard of his years of knowledge as a physician. He was defenseless against the multitude of greedy people hovering around his body waiting for the kill to take the prize. If anyone thinks they are HELPING Michael, aiding his legacy or making an attempt at justice in his death by insinuating he was a drug addict--THINK AGAIN. It really is not that hard to reason that if you call someone a drug addict or insinuate any notion of such, past or present, and they died from drugs then you will see no justice, regardless if they did it to themselves or not. Whatever Michael did in his life, right or wrong, he did NOT deserve to die in the manner in which he did nor does he deserve the blame for what Murray CHOSE to do to him, what Murray in some form or another PROMOTED to him, promoted to HELP him. No one ever gives Michael any credit for not only surviving the allegations and emotional and physical difficulties in his life but LIVING his life as well--just look at what he was doing when he died--he was trying his best to start anew and rebuild a life and career that was destroyed by OTHERS--he did not wallow in self-pity or even give up--he wore the wounds but bandaged up and started where he left off--no one gives him credit for that it seems. I do! Now the man deserves justice in his death, he deserves the public knowing the TRUTH about everything and he deserves the legacy in which he made for himself, the one as one of the greatest artist and humanitarians to ever live--it should not be marred by the cruel doings or stupidity of others!
