So i wonder what you guys think of this note?

He says (to himself) that he wants to sell 200.000.000 records so that white children can grow up with a black hero and they don't grow up prejudiced.

I never heard or read this reasoning before or after this and I think it's very interesting. For one it provides a clear (and novel) answer to the much heard 'why did all those white kids hang out with him?'

Means nothing. Neo-nazi skinheads have been known to like the music of reggae & ska artists. White supremacist senator Strom Thurmond was friends with James Brown. In the Jim Crow era, Black artists performed in clubs that only allowed a white audience and they could not stay in white hotels or eat in their restaurants. A well known one was the Cotton Club.

That could definitely be an interesting discussion on it's own!
However, the main point of my thread was to show him explicitly writing about becoming a hero for 'white kids'.

Like all the time, and way before the allegations, I heard people say 'why is MJ hanging out with so much white kids' (not neccesarily guilters) and later on using that as an indication for his guilt (like he had a sexual preference for white children), so to actually see him expaining his true motivation is very interesting..right?
Well to me anyway, I admit I hoped for a bit more enthusiasm on this finding, lol

Maybe most of us here dont really care. We accept Michael, we respect his decisions and we dont try to second guess or create explanations or make up reasons that sound good to us.

Who he was, how he lived his life, the decisions he made does not always have to be micro analyzed down to the tiniest detail.
