I feel exactly the same way. I will be interested to see the terms of this settlement. Does this mean that this HTWF will get the 20% from the estate?
Why do I feel so sick? I feel like Michael is let down once again...

restrictions or NOT Melissa Johnson and Howard Mann are thieves and I do NOT understand for ONE MINUTE how Branca could settle with these people. Melissa Johnson is a crazy bitch...Michael NEVER told her anything...I really thought this would come out differetly...I thought that Michael might START getting his name respected...but NO this crack pot is free to do with the name Michael Jackson as she pleases...and for that Katherine should be ASHAMED of herself.

I believe that is what it means...Randy and Joe will be standing there with hands extended for their take of that money. Michael's wishes ARE NOT being honored..AGAIN.

Cant we write a statement together with other fan-sites and let the estate, the Jackson family and Johnson know what we all REALLY think of Melissa Johnson? Im so pissed AND dissapointed right now.

the only thing we can do now is NOT donate a single penny to her wicked charity.

I don't understand. That's so unexpected, I am lost for words... perhaps they settled because Michael's mother is involved in this and they didn't want to go against her?? But still they should care about Michael's wishes not his mother's. What's going on?

If they also settle with Mann that'll be the end of it.

ps: I just hope there's a good explanation to this... or there are restrictions to that settlement. Otherwise, WTF!

Either they put on some restrictions OR the Estate figured out a way for everyone, Estate included, to benefit from the Jackson/Mann/Johnson merger. At least that's my hope. I'd like to think they were smart enuf to get a positive result for themselves from this over giving in completely and getting absolutely nothing.

Sometimes this is the way things go in the legalworld, folks. Michael settled many lawsuits right down to the wire (even when he had a good chance of winning) so nothing really new here, imo.

From day one, this was a Hot Mess Production and the more declarations came out and people jumped on the bandwagon to support this fackery I suspected it was getting hotter and stanker.

I do hope something positive was gained from this by the Estate IF the settlement news is true. If they were able to get some control, say or approval in how MJ's image is being distributed/used by the HTWF merger then it's a small victory for us all. Maybe now we will be spared HTW thongs and ish.

Edit: And hopefully, someone will be overseeing things to make sure the money goes where it's supposed to go.

That's exactly how I feel as well.

I mean, people like Mann and Johnson will take this "victory," whatever that entails and run with it. Which, in my opinion, will only lead to MORE trouble for the Estate down the line. They will feel as if they beat the BIG, BAD Estate of Michael Jackson and that "win" will only lead to more scams down the line.

Oh Lord, I feel SO sick right now!

Ppl should wait on the facts and not rely on tmz.theres only one side that would settle on the eve of the trial and thats johnson.they are the ones that will have been making offers

Me, too. The Johnson/Mann thing just doesn't sit right with me. Nor do I believe the Jackson's interest were ever motivated by charity, but whether to gain access to MJ's intelluctual rights for their profit. If the Jacksons felt they were getting monthly enough to care for all of them, I just don't believe they'd be fighting one way or another for HTWF.

The Michael Jackson Estate has settled its lawsuit against the Heal the World Foundation, and the Estate is now copacetic with the charity using Michael Jackson's name.

The Estate had sued Heal the World, on grounds it had no right to use MJ's name to solicit money. But we've learned there was a secret meeting yesterday between Katherine Jackson's new lawyer, Perry Sanders, and Estate lawyer Howard Weitzman.

The attorneys settled the beef, so Heal the World can now use Michael's name and likeness, and Katherine will sit on the Board of Directors of the charity.

The lawyers are going to court this AM to dismiss the lawsuit.

That money ain't going to no charity. Its going straight to crazy lady, Mann, Katherine's pockets then to Joe and Randy. Tell me why doe Katherine even want to help Joe do anything? Doesn't she know the only thing he wants money for is to spend on other women?

I can't, I just can't. This is all a scam to get rich off Michael. The Jacksons cared but they care for money more and Michael's gone and we're left with these stooges. I'm just, I can't. My heart is full of hate right now!

Very disappointing. I hope they have a very good reason for this, but still considering they had every chance of winning this, the settlement makes no sense whatsoever to me. I wonder if we will get the details. I'm really disappointed.

DO NOT buy anything related to this project. DO NOT support them in any way. They are robbing Prince, Paris and Blanket. Joe is trying to get money for his side chicks, Randy is trying to do whatever Randy does with his money and the two nuts are trying to get rich off Michael Jackson.

DO NOT support HTWF. Maybe let's not support anything Michael related. The only way to get people's attention is through their pocketbooks.

I'm sick of reading "Shame on Katherine Jackson...Branca backed off because of her". Do you guys really believe Branca would settle only because of Katherine, although they fought about it for such a long time and the estate would have won? They are businessman, they had their reasons to settle. Michael Jackson is a product for them to do business with.
And no, I'm not a HTWF supporter (neither a Branca supporter).

Uh, there is no doubt Branca backing off is because of her is a factor in this situation. They don't want to be seen as the evil estate who goes after Michael's 'poor/heartbroken' mother, she supports this charity. If Katherine was fiercely against Melissa Johnson do you TRULY believe the Estate would have settled with them? I doubt it.

I feel your frustration, but maybe...just maybe, Prince, Paris and Blanket aren't being left out of this. Mann and his items are a player in this saga. The kids weren't getting anything in regards to any profits from those items. Only Katherine, per her contract, was making money from the association with Mann. IF...big IF...the Estate has found a way for this merger to financially benefit them (which includes the kids) as well as fund the charity, then the kids aren't really being robbed, per se.

I do wonder if Joe and Randy are still on the Board of Directors or if it's only Katherine now?

If all of them are still on the board then odds are it should be MUCH quieter in Jacksonland. *small applause* If they got cut out of this deal, we'll prolly be hearing about it soon. Translation: Keep an eye out on Randy's Twitter page.

Come on, one look no matter in which fan forum shows there's almost no one supporting "poor" Katherine in that cause. And don't tell me they have no clue how fans think.

I'm not saying people are supporting Katherine, I don't either myself..I'm just saying that if Katherine was against Melissa Johnson and on the same page as the estate to shut down the fraud charity then I don't think it would stand a chance...but in this case Katherine is showing support for the charity, I just feel that's a factor in this case..My opinion.
