The MJFC Team deeply regrets to have to make this announcement, but as of this morning at 11:08am, the MJFC website was shut down due to lack of server payments.

This action did not come as a total surprise to our Team, and we have been trying different things in order to bring in more money to cover our operating costs. Many of you may have noticed the new banners and links in the text. These links, though they may be a bit intrusive, are just one means of trying to cover our operating expenses. We would like to be able to run solely on the generous donations from our Supporting Members. However, this is just not possible as giving has been way down in the three years following Michael's passing.

This is an extremely sad day for the MJFC Team. Our site is run by a small group of dedicated fans, just like you and we work on a volunteer basis. We are not paid for our time or our expertise; we do what we do out of undying love and unwavering respect for Mr. Michael Jackson. And we have been doing it happily and faithfully since 1999. But sadly, today may be the end of an era.

There is still a chance that we can save MJFC and its Forum, but only if we are able to raise a significant amount of money within the next couple of days. The money - every penny of it - would go toward paying our delinquent server fees and covering our fees in the future. But time is ticking. If we do not raise the money within the next two days, MJFC and the Forum will have to close the doors forever.

MJ-Upbeat.com I'm posting this on my site. I hope you get help. I think you guys are the best. I too am suffering and MJ-Upbeat is on the line regarding shut down. I hope we can get help from the fans. I'm almost to my 10 year anniversary November 1, 2013. I may not make it to see that day realized. I will post this on my site now. Don't like Deborah don't like what she has done to MJJC and its team in the olden days so excuse me if I cant feel this is just Karma.

Perhaps we can make an offer in taking it over and migrating it to our server to continue service.

But to be honest this leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, its like they are saying either pay up or its turned of, after all they have hardly any traffic so a small server would cost them bugger all a month.

They say their costs are $250 / month and they need to raise at least $500 for the late payment and the next month.

WTF thats more than ours and we have ten times the traffic they do, ripping the fans of I feel is going on here.

I was a member there and I even met Deborah back in 2001 when they 'organized' a party :smilerolleyes:

Oh well, indeed KARMA :beee:

Though, I 'worry' about the MJ fam 'loyal' to them :no:
What about them ?
Are they just gonna 'abandon' them ? :scratch:
or can we 'relocate' them to MJJC? :cheeky:

Its back hun, their method of getting the members to pay up their extortionate server fee for a pitiful traffic web site and forum worked,

Still cant believe they are paying $250

Ah well... Good for the LOYAL members though it leaves a BAD taste behind on how they 'treat' their members :doh:

they got the $500 and they are open again.

Gaz can we update our donation goal for 2013 and start our donation bar from 0. I think we need to start it as early as possible.

That looks great. I think the top line was redundant anyway as the total is on 2nd line anyway.

That's sad. :( But they were not really trying to promote it even closed its doors to new members .. every time I logged in was dead.

yes and she opened the website at another server for 30 days and last night decided to close it bc no one visits or posts.
 
I would love to take it over again, but I don't think she will ever do that.

What a complete waste. She would rather loose all that history than give it back to me so I can keep it going. Oh well their loss.
