MJ fans - ireland

I'd be up for a meet, but I'm not sure posting our numbers is the best way to go about it. What would we do?

Please delete your number from the first post, you don't know who is looking on this site x

Hi there,

Yes I would defo be on for a meet up. I live in Dublin, what about everyone else? Where would be the best place to arrange to meet?

Ireland meet up date set!!!

To all fans in Ireland and those who can come from outside Ireland interested in celebrating MJ's life. Myself & a good friend are looking for fans to PLEASE turn up to HMV on Grafton Street at 2pm Sunday July 5th.

Grafton Street is famous for it's street entertainment & where better to meet & remember Michael Jackson in Ireland than there. Would be great to see some MJ impersonators or dancers turn up & put on a show.
There is also Stevens Green where we can go & quietly refelct on his life and share our own personal stories of MJ.

Fans in Ireland have always been shy to turn up a meet ups in the past, I beg you to please show your love for MJ and come along & pass on the word to other fans. This is for Michael, PLEASE come along.

If you are coming please send me your phone no. to me at the below e-mail so I can contact you.

Hi,
I'll be there. Look forward to seeing everyone. I've met up briefly before with some mj fans in ireland. But i never thought i'd be arranging to meet up with other fans to remember him - coz i never thought he'd die. Its going to be a weird one. But ill be glad to be with other fans coz in this time no one else can understand what we are feeling. I'll email you now paul - see you next sunday.

I really wish I could but I'm up here in Derry, maybe some other time perhaps.

i am going to come along :) I hope alot of irish fans support this event. Would be lovely to see you all there.

Hmmmm.... I'm working in Dun Laoghaire at 3pm that day :/
I might be able to turn up for a short while if I get a taxi back!

Memorial in Dublin

Some friends of mine told me about this yesterday. The memorial is outside the HMV Store on Grafton Street. Some pictures are stuck on the pillar outside the shop. Unfortunately some were destroyed with the rain showers this morning. I added a badge hopefully it will hold up in the rain. I took some pics with my mobile and I share them with you now. Bear in mind that some of the pics were wet and the ink is fading away :(

Thanks for posting this Sharon, I know some are far away. This is for Michael, I am coming 85 km.

I would come down guys but I live way up in the north, some 100 miles from Dublin, and I work alot during the week. Good to see MJ is not forgotten about here during these times.

Maybe you could try and do one in the North. I am finding it hard work to make this happen, but it will be worth it.

There isnt alot of MJ fans around these parts unfortunately. People like some of his songs but think he was a 'weirdo', although you have all the closet MJ fans coming out now saying they have loved his music for years now that hes gone.

Do you guys know many MJ fans were you guys are?

I know people that would be fond of his music and be able to hum a few songs or whatever but no one who would consider themselves to be a fan. It's unfortunate, it's going to be very hard to get events set up in Ireland.

Yes its hard setting them up because its not easy to go out there and say your an MJ fan. Anyway the shrine that was at HMV on Grafton Street is now gone :( staff must have taken it away which was a shame.
