They played a bit of Somebody's Watching Me on Britain's Got More Talent (Britain's Got Talent's sister show) on Saturday.
 
If Sony/The Estate do release more TII footage later this year for the 10thanniversary of the movie I will be excited. Would love to see Stranger in Moscow, Dangerous and Dirty Diana. I'm thinking an extended cut on dvd and more stuff on Blu ray.

I searched and didn't find anything about this -- sorry if it's already been posted!

Did anyone catch this week's A.P. Bio on NBC, the episode where they put on a talent show? It had multiple MJ references -- in one part, one of the teachers was trying to teach the 2 other teachers to play the bells and made a big thing about how you must wear white gloves at all time. The 2 teachers got bored and put the bells down and starting making suggestions on how to make it better. They each took off one glove and started riffing Michael Jackson moves.

Then at the actual talent show, the class was doing this over the top EDM show (I heard some "Can You Feel It" in there), and one of the girls did the Moonwalk.

This is a little thing, but I'd still call it a win: yesterday I heard ABC playing at Walmart when I was grocery shopping. I may have gotten more excited than most people about a song on a store's background music, but too bad, it was exciting!

That's great Wal-Mart actually selling MJ t-shirts at some places. i'm not sure if it's selling where i live though. people talk bad about Wal-Mart but if Wal-Mart support the King then i support them little more now.

Heck yeah! I bought two of that shirt to show extra support. (Plus I like to have doubles of special shirts.) I have some issues with Walmart, but this is definitely one thing they got right.

people talk bad about Walmart yet they continue to go there and shop. Walmart is great and that is my store.

I heard Billie Jean playing at the grand opening of a new restaurant. There was a lady who worked there who was kinda dancing to the music too. No muting here. :)
 
The St. Louis Blues Stanley Cup victory parade today had a band performing, and one of the songs they did was a cover of Rock With You. I also heard that song in a grocery store about a week ago, and Heaven Can Wait as I was leaving work (was playing on some device in the security shack... dunno if it was radio or one of the guards' personal playlist). No muting here, either! :kickass:

Ex-Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro using drugs, along with Michael Jackson going on a double date with a rocker who was high on PCP, is discussed in Drew Fortune’s new book No Encore! Musicians Reveal Their Weirdest, Wildest, Most Embarrassing Gigs, via Ultimate Classic Rock.

Even with his extensive rock background, the author admits he was “constantly amused, shocked and occasionally disgusted” by the tales musicians shared with him for the book. When pressed to name his favorite story, Fortune says, “I really do love the idea of cinematically picturing Dave Navarro writing a message in syringe blood, or Mark Mothersbaugh, high on PCP, on a double date with Michael Jackson and Andy Warhol at Studio 54.”

Nine months later, with Flea suitably repaired and [Brian] Burton available again, the band convened in the producer’s studio, where his intentions for the sessions were outlined from the beginning. Though the band arrived with a stack of songs ready to record, Burton insisted that they discard the majority and start new ones from scratch, live in the studio.

“A totally new method; very exciting, very nerve-wracking, high pressure,” Anthony confirms. “The boys would go in in the morning, and Brian’s kind of like a musical director, where he wants to start with the beat, and he wants to find the best section of that beat and loop it, and then he calls Flea in and he’s like, ‘You know that feeling you get when you listen to a Michael Jackson record?’ And Flea’s like, ‘Yeah?’ He’s like, ‘Well, give me that feeling.’ So Flea’s like, ‘Okay,’ and he just starts riffing. [Brian’s] like, ‘I like the 16th bar of the thing you played; let’s repeat that.’ Then Flea would repeat that and put his own magic onto it. So he would build songs like that and we had never done that before, but the end result was beautiful music.”
