Here’s the inevitable question about the gold pants… Did Michael notice that the gold pants were revealing in the front and did he know that they were the fangirls’ favorite pants for that reason? Did he ever say anything to you about that?

And since we're talking about underwear... Were there concerns about underwear lines being visible through any of his pants? Did Michael have some magic trick to hide them?

In the This is it movie , what other songs did he rehearse that were not included.
Many thanks

Did Michael talk to you about Zaldy Goco's designs for the This Is It tour?

If so, what did he say to you? Was he going to wear them? Could he dance in them? (as that was his first priority)

I want to know about that too, I mean a 4 pounds samurai jacket (if I'm not mistaken about its weight) doesn't seem practical to dance at all! o_O Also the shoulder pads in the WBSS suit were like, ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!?

My questions:

What was the most challeging outfit to create?
Did Michael have any favorite outfit?
(If it's not in the book) What happened to the trial suits?

Did you make the black pants Michael wore on the red carpet at the MSG shows in 2001, the pants that suddenly unbuttoned while he walked? If so, did Michael talk to you about the incident afterwards? Was he upset about it?

What happen with the military costumes from Thriller Era? Who designed them?
One of them, the blue jacket Michael wore when he met president Reagan actually belonged to a liftboy from Helmsley Palace NY. His name is Hector Carmona. MJ liked it, so Hector sold one of his uniforms to Frank Dileo. Michael's tailor (Bush?) took care of the rest :) Dunno what happened to 'em, but knowing what a pack rat Michael was, he probably kept those too... some of them have possibly been sold by now, and some are with the family, I'd imagine.

Also, his height was about 5'9½ (I think that's from Moonwalk).

Thanks for the answers. I just asked about Michael's height because I didn't know for sure, I've heard many people saying that his height was 5' 10".

Very cool!!! I met Michael Bush a few weeks ago in Amsterdam and he's such a nice man and truly enjoyed talking and answering question about Michael.

I have a few questions, hope 1 gets picked:

You say in the book that Michael avoided what was trending because he wanted to be copied. Was there ever an outfit/trend that he found so amazing that he wished he would have thought of that before someone else did?

After Michael passed away his military style jackets became very very trending. What do you think would have been his reaction to this, as the whole world was literally copying his style?

Somewhere in the book you mention the very first jacket you and Dennis made in 1988 with flat metal plates, of which Dennis said it wouldn't work, but Michael only believed it when it was made. Does that jacket still exist and is there a photo of it?

Did Michael ever split his pants on stage (hey it happens when you dance :p)?

There are many questions on the how and why of things Michael added to his look and outfits. Is there a story that Michael found hilarious? Something like the fingertape story and how fans came up with the reason that it was to prevend him from biting his finger nails?

Another question.

Does the armbands and finger tapes have a special meaning?

I read tha book and these questions I remember being told about:
The armband was created when they were looking to add something extra to his outfits. It became an armband on which they later started to add things on it.
The fingertapes had the same intention as the white socks, to draw attention to his fingers. At first they wanted to tape all his fingers, but while taping Michael decided to only tape 3 fingers to make it more special.

Another question.

Does the armbands and finger tapes have a special meaning?

In the book, Bush talks about a conversation with MJ. MJ said something like, if someone were to walk into a room full of jackets like mine, how could they tell which one is mine?

So they came up with the armband on the right arm. It also fit well with MJ's military themed clothes and became a quintessential MJ design in clothing.

I hope more time will be given for questions as some of us are still reading the book.

One of my questions has already been asked regarding museum placement instead of massive auction. My question so far then is: !A)What is the story behind the "Flame Jacket" and B) what year was it made & where/to what event(s) was it worn I saw it in the exhibition but was disappointed/surprised a good picture of it isn't in the book!

I may add more later.

I've heard the armband was a reminder of kids suffering in the world, but maybe that's a "fan-made" answer/speculation?

I think most things Michael Jackson, were fan made answers and speculation. For example the CTE shirts, standing for Children of the Earth, but in reality it was just random letters. Bush's book describes the creation of the armband and the CTE shirts. Maybe later on both started to represent a meaning.

It's showmanship, and MJ was good at it. A mystery keeps people interested and guessing.

Please I just want to know why the "Thriller" jacket in Dangerous and HIStory Tour were yellow and not red like in the short film? It was a Michael's preference?

He talks about that in the book. They didn't mean anything. Their purpose was to make you wonder what they meant :) The armband was also meant to make MJ's shirts clearly distinguishable.

Bush had said in interviews that the most challenging where Smooth Criminal lean shoes. MJ's favorite was the pearl jacket from Grammys - that's why he was buried in a very similar jacket.

What was Michael's height in fact?

5'10'' according to Bush.

In an interview to an irish newspaper to publicise the costume tour you said of mj that 'even though he was a dancer, he wasn't a sexual being. Sex wasn't part of him.' MJ tried to retain some privacy, so why did you feel the need to discuss his sexuality with a newspaper reporter. And seeing you did discuss it, why did you decide to deny mj a sexuality.

Thank you for doing this Michael Bush:heart:
What was it like during the worst time of Michael's life(2005 trial) to design his clothes for court? He always looked stunning even though he must have been screaming on the inside.

Did you spend any time with Michael when you, Michael and Dennis didn't or weren't planning costumes or was it always around work?
If yes, what did you do together and where did you go with him?
Did you ever got impatient with him while designing costumes, for example you had certain thing in you mind how costume should look, then Michael wanted to change it?
Did Michael played any pranks on you or Dennis?
What are your best and worst memories of Michael?

I honestly don't know what to ask? =/ Some questions I had have been answered already it seems? So I'll ask if it's not to private?

1. Did you (Bush) and your partner (Tompkins) design many clothes for MJ kids and what kind of fabrics and style did he prefer his children clothes to look like?

2. Would you ever design clothes exclusively for another Artist, like for example Lady Gaga, if you were asked?

3. Did you know in advance that Lady Gaga was interested in buying many of MJs clothing in the Juliens Auction and what did you think of that?

Thanks MJJC and Bush for this Q & A!

Watching The Dangerous Tour rehearsals live at Neverland, I came with another question.

Why Remember The Time was never performed live? I heard the people who wore the costumes related had a wardrobe malfuction. Was it true?

Mr Bush, thank you for answering questions for us.
What do you miss most about Michael?
Were there any designs you made which Michael disliked?
Were there any imcidents of wardrobe malfunction while Michael was on stage and how did he cover it up?

I would like to thank you so much for the final act you performed for Michael after he passed away. It must have been so very difficult for you but I am grateful it was done by those he would have wished for this task.
