Hey, does anyone know what happened to MJNI? They were awesome back in the day. I used to attend all their fan parties, including the infamous "Killer Thriller" party and collect KING! magazine every month. Then they just vanished=(
I miss the parties and the ppl i used to see at them. The guys who run things were good ppl, Robin Metzler will always stay in memories for the way he used to introduce videos (he was particularly funny at the birthday bash when we all watched Moonwalker)
Anyone else here used to be a member?

Michael Jackson News International. They were the UK based fan club in the 90's and early '00's

I remember someone mentioned MJNI on my MJTKOP thread. Let me find the post...

EDIT: I must be thinking of the wrong thread, but someone mentioned it somewhere.

yep, I love MJNI ;) I have soooo many beautiful MJ memories... The parties, especially the Killer Thriller party ;) I loved their mags... Its a pity they just vanished :(

I was a member for many years and enjoyed it a lot! I don't really know what happened to them because unfortunately they didn't inform their members. I remember waiting for the next KING! mag but it never arrived. It's a pity - but it's also a bit annoying because they just kept the rest of the membership fee.

YAY!! So glad there are still some MJNI survivers out there. Killer Thrilller was an awesome event daryll, did u attend the protest before it? Thanx for the link kingMikeJ, but i was more looking for ppl from the fan club and events. I never joined the fan forum back then as my net access was retardedly limited, lol. Yeah MJ~&~Me, they were gonna reform for the This Is It concerts=( They relaunched a website with the intention of using for fans to arrange t meet up before the shows and share their experiences after. But then of course, the most unimagenable thing happened and they just vansished again=(

Of course, Mr. Moonwalker... My friends and I attended the 'protest' ... but we left 'earlier' ... I had a seat okay but my friends didn't and I wanted to give them a good view too... Nice hey... That's why we missed Michael at the protest but we went to the NY one too and that was really cool too ;)
Yep, I'm so chuffed that this place still is alive and kicking... That was my biggest fear... That we would miss this HOME and be 'forced' to live in the Generation O world... I die there honestly... This is my HOME :)

Oh no, same happened to my friends and me! :( Sad thing! We just wanted to be on time for the party and then this...
But Killer Thriller was awesome!

I was kinda lucky cos we had gotten word earlier that day that he may be doing some kind of drive through so we waited it out and it payed off=) The actual party was great too! Though i did feel really sorry for the performers that day as they were working their ass's off on stage and pretty much every member of the audience was looking to the right hand balcony watching MJ's every move!! I know i was, hehe. To see him enjoying the show and head bopping away to his own songs, memories i will never forget =D amazing day

I remember the MJNI site. They were big back in the late 90s early to mid 2000's. Them, MJIFC & Planet Jackson were the big 3 MJ sites that I visited. 2 bad all 3 of them are all gone. :(

Planet Jackson, i've heard of them. Weren't they an American based fanclub? MJNI were big throughout the 90's. I first joined them in 94, i think, Memory is a little hazey. I'll have to dig out my old membership certificate =)

Planet Jackson was the website connected with the Black & White / HISTORY magazine. They had a lot of great scoops! It's so sad that they're gone as well! Black & White and KING! were my main information sources before the internet and they introduced me to the Michael-world.

ah Black or white mag, i have a few random issues of that laying about my collection. I only ever collected king mag though. I used to love it when the issue got delivered, flicking to the middle to check the poster out. Reading all the latest news and interviews then heading to the back to order more than i could afford from the shop =D amazing mag, with they would come back, we need a MJ mag in England again. Do any countries still have a mag?

Those were the 3 sites I also visited! I subscribed to King! magazine for some time. 2bad I've lost my membership certificate. Ah, good ol' days..

KingMikeJ: Thanks for the "timemachine" link! :) This brings back memories: http://replay.web.archive.org/200012132358/http://www.mjni.com/site/mjni/index02.htm
