If you think about it, it also makes your Xmas shopping much easier. ;) But I agree, I think focusing on one week might be more effective than a month.

Just a thought: Are the stores going to be stocked with enough copies for our buying to make a difference? Places like Target & Walmart often just have "Number Ones," "Thriller," and "Bad." We may have to turn to Amazon and possibly Best Buy, etc. I just hope that the product is available if we're going to be trying to buy them! We have to buy them from sources that count, not ebay, etc.

guys great idea if we print a bunch of flyers out and taped on the doors or wall of public places as a advertisment sort of thing, we can give them as gift to kids to expsose his lesser know album beside thriller to others

Great idea qbee, Invincible is one of my favourite and most played albums. I'll definitely buy two more, I also think though, that one week has a better chance of making the charts at No1. I hope it happens.

For the umpteenth time, it's better to concentrate sales in one week. Most of music charts are weekly.

Thank you
We are promoting Mass Buy Invincible starting the First Oct and through that week
for a surge in sales and then continue to raise sales though the month. We will focus
more on that when we start promoting to Buy .. right now we are focusing on awareness

That's great. I am a little confused. Are we trying to get this #1 on itunes or billboard chart? Where I live I don't think I can find a physical copy. It's rare. His other albums I can find but this it depends.

For downloads itunes is fine and is counted toward billboard charts - for downloads I recommend itunes or MichaelJackson.com to be on the safe side. If you purchase physical CD's ask your music store if they report music sales to Soundscan which Billboard uses to track sales. Some dont report .. Wallmart didnt use to - I think they might now

If you record store or store you purchase a pysical CD from reports sales to soundscan it will be counted (Ask)
also if you download instead make sure it is from reputable download site. I hope that helps :)

We are going for the Album Invincible. to chart - but if you cant afford then the single
not sure how many downloads per account will count toward charts - maybe someone else
has that answer.

I would say if anyone plans to MASS download to spread it out and use different email accounts.
and order from different sites - like order one from iTunes and one from michaeljackson.com
or other legit download sites .. whish I could be of more help on that

The wiki Nielsen SoundScan page says that "Sales data from cash registers is collected from 14,000 retail, mass merchant, and non-traditional (on-line stores, venues, digital music services, etc.) outlets in the United States, Canada and the U.K."

I know that wiki isn't reliable source of information, but if it is so, the fans outside these countries would all have to order online (not that it is a problem, but it's good to know)

If someone proves me wrong, I'll be glad ;)


Also, I'll be glad to translate anything to Czech if it helps.

I believe i read record companys also report sales. thats how they keep track how may MJ sold in each country and bill board also estimates sales. how they do that i dont know - but I read that on billboard article. there has to be some way to count becuase we see MJ sells 1 million in germany 50 thous in France etc etc .. So ther has tobe some way to tally that .. how does MJ become #One in france or germany charts? Billboard somehow has accessother then sounscan for these numbers. They also use radio play for results. The system is confusing no doubt
