Haha!! I saw the other thread and thought it would be fun to tell you all about this, another story to exhibit the next generation of MJ fans!
So my nephew is 5 and when asked which celebrity he wanted to go to his first school dressed as, he instantly said Michael Jackson. woopee! I did all his homework for him (just this once!
) as he needed to take in facts relating to his chosen celeb and everyone knows im a human encycolpedia when it comes to MJ! My mom used to make wedding dresses so she's fab at sewing and putting clothes together so she made him some silk black trousers and an all over sequin black jacket. Then i gave him some white socks, my fedora and my MJ glove (which he hasnt returned as of yet! hmm..) and he went as Motown 25 Michael. I havent got any pics to upload here but i was SOO PROUD!
My other nephew who is only 3, ADORES MJ too! He has only a few CD's but is always copying Michael's moves and he also sings his songs, his favourite is Smooth criminal. Although he cant get the jist of all the lyrics yet, he gets some of it and his rythm is great! He also puts on the husky MJ voice when he's singing SC its hilarious. I educate him a lot and show him videos all the time, when im explaining something he will be so focused and will nod his head a lot to show that he understands.
My sister said there are a few other kids in his class that love MJ too. I think its amazing, i dont think any other artist will ever have this much impact on such a variety of different people!
I have a lot of faith in this next generation. They are too young to understand all the allegations and vicious nonsense surrounding MJ and focus purely on his music and all the good things he has done. MJ will live on forever!!
